They went overboard with the tan. Hate it. She looks African American, which is fine, IF she is supposed to be African American, but being so dark means a lot of surface tweaking so other characters won't be washed out when you're trying to light up Stephanie. It really makes it harder to put her in a scene close to someone and see the same details. She looks too much like Gia in the face. I bought the pro bundle for the hair and outfits, and the extra 10% off, but am not wowed with S6.

Luckily you can use any Generation 6 skin on her. Most of the time I use the standard G2F skin (Bree) because it is the one that fits my needs and style. All the other skins are too much fiddling with all that SSS stuff and everything else :-)
...if you have the V4 clone for G2F you can also use V4 skins as well.

    Greetings,
    O_O¡

Wow; I just looked, and 3.2GB of my Runtime is taken up with TIF files. If I replaced those with .png files with the same name, would it work, or would I have to also find every .duf or .dsf or whatever that referenced them, and tweak those? I'm up for writing that script, if it'll save me a significant amount of that 3.2G to convert them all to lossless pngs...

No, not just you. I make Josie a little shorter, and also shrink her head a few percentage points, her head seems bigger than it ought to be by default. I haven't tried S6 yet, trying to figure out if I need the base or a bundle.

Glad it's not just me. I just loaded a default Josie next to a default Steph and yeah, Josie's a bit too big - it's really her head that throws it off. I get the point of her head being proportionally large since she's younger, but heads don't shrink as you age. By default, Josie's head is much bigger than Steph's and a touch wider than Vicky's. Josie's proportions don't seem to match the rest of the lineup.

Of course I should not have said that about Josie, teenagers are sensitive. To paraphrase Stuart Mackenzie, “I went out of bounds there, she’ll be crying herself to sleep tonight on her huge pillow!”
    Mom: What's wrong, honey?
Josie: Oh, Mom, people are making fun of my big ol' head on the internet! (sobs)

    ...hehhehheh.

To me, the morphs in the Slender Steph 6 Promo images make the figures look overly bumpy and put ridges under the breasts. If you look, they look like bird feet on both sides. Do they look like this in use?

not yet, but I rarely use settings at 100%... that's what i love about Genesis 1&2, you just slide up a shape setting until it looks good for what you want instead of it being all-or-nothing shape presets.

can someone tell me, what hair was used in the "Ginger" promos? it looks stunning.
    Thank you.

It is this hair using the hr2 version to avoid the autofit distortion :)

A quick test render. I'd say she could be Latina. I am glad that there wasn't much of any mirroring with the textures. I was disappointed by that with the other GF2 textures.

i don't know how to light the new character skins, They either orange-ish or too bright.

guess i should put the luxus stuff on hold and practice lights in 3de should i leave the gamma render setting on or off?

Heh. her head is just too big. It is bigger than any of the adult characters. To grow into that head she'd have to be really tall. She is more manga fusion than the more realistic style characters.

Actually I think she's just about a perfect Disney heroine if you look at Tangled and Frozen. It's an incredibly popular style of late.

And it's a pretty style, too :D Still, I always though it was The Girl's duty to stand in for the disney-esque characters, while everyone else is doing the 'realistic' thing. Well except Aiko, but she's weird and just listens to J-Pop all the time.

Here's a Reality-Luxrender test of the default Stephanie 6 (I scaled to figure to 101% to fit enable dynamic skirt fit, but all in proportion)...

That's a morph called "S6 Defined RibCage," found under Actor/Upper Body/Chest/SlenderS6. It is a PBM, so while it is used in some of the character presets from Shapes, you can dial it to 0 if you don't want to use it.

Parameters Tab is your friend, I guess :D. I cannot wait to get my hands on this set, I took the plunge, so waiting for the download :D.

    "Parameters Tab is your friend"
It isn't the amount. It is the morph itself. It is good that it can be used or not.
Thank you for the info, Sickleyield

S6 can get very small very quickly - I reduced the scale of the car so she didn't look lost on it, hehehe

You would have to modify all references to change the file extension; Studio will not automatically check multiple file extensions when trying to resolve a file. This applies to more than just .duf and .dsf, though. But also to any of your Poser-format content (.cr2, .pz2, etc).

Slender Stephanie 6 - Additional Morphs, Presets and a Conforming Outfit

That is good! I guess only with this pack, S6 would get closer to S4 and S5, whom I like very much.

Other products that caught my eye include:
    - Isolabella Dress
    - Fancy Hair
    - What a Cutie Expressions for Stephanie 6
    - Spring Hair

I also enjoy the following items, but I cannot find them in the store (any ideas?):
    - Playful Flirt Dress for Genesis 2 Female(s) shown on Stephanie 6 with 2 of the lovely Moonlight Poses
    - BWC Poses of the Orient (even though I nearly never buy pose packs as I make them myself - sometimes with a base from one of the free ones - this is just too specific to resist IF it conforms with the clothes so well)
    - Steph 6 merchant resource
    - Wicked Night Out HD for Stephanie 6 and Genesis 2 Female(s)
    - FWSA Keshi for Stephanie 6
    - jewellery by Fisty

Where are they supposed to be? Stephanie 6 category? No. New Releases? Nope. Searching doesn't help.

It's also very interesting to see a figure with a default intensively tanned skin - or is it due to the lighting only?

Playful Flirt Dress for Genesis 2 Female(s) has finally been released!

The hair isn't included, browse the market here - usually promos use content from DAZ. If you can't find it, check Rendo and RDNA. I'd say it is Amphitrite.

As a rule of thumb, morphs don't come with clothes or hair. If a vendor does give you something else, it is always mentioned on the product page.

Thank you for the quick response! Closest I could find is the Amphitrite Hair, but I'm not 100% sure if it's that. I'll have to check the other stores.

Does Madeline for stephanie 6 require the Genesis 2 Female Body Morphs?  I do not have the Genesis 2 Female Body Morphs.  Stephanie 6 loads without any warnings.

    • The store page for Beau for Stephanie 6 (https://www.daz3d.com/beau-for-stephanie-6) states that only Stephanie 6 is required and Beau applies to Stephanie 6 with no warings. (expected result)

    • The store page for Taylor for Stephanie 6 (https://www.daz3d.com/taylor-for-stephanie-6) states that Stephanie 6 and the Genesis 2 Female Body Morphs are required and Taylor applies to Stephanie 6 with a waring that there is a missing G2F morph file.  (expected result)

    • The store page for Madeline for Stephanie 6 (https://www.daz3d.com/madeline-for-stephanie-6) states that only Stephanie 6 is required but Madeline applies to Stephanie 6 with a waring that there are three missing G2F morph files.

    Thanks for any insights.
