Yeah, apparently either no one ever told M4 you have to take your undies down to do your business or, since it looks like he's coming off a major bender, he just doesn't give a... well, you know.  And why they chose that as the main promo image rather than V4 in the shower is one of the all time great mysteries.

On the positive side, that's a well modeled toilet.  .

I wonder whether it simply slips past the Q&A department, or if it's maybe some inside joke.

And would offend against UK building regulations  as the Toilet room is straight off the kitchen without an area and 2nd door between.

That set is pretty unrealistic, anyway.  There aren't enough different locations to show the average North American family not eating together.

You know, the lack of toilet seats is only part of a bigger stranger problem.

Liiike, how many characters have to walk around with their weapons in their hands as there are no sheaths/holsters? (it seems to be a thing for every character to have a sword/gun in each hand, so they can't even open doors)

Also corsets that are laced by laces with no bows etc...

Well, if you're going to get into that, there are the outfits that come with jewellery and other accessories but no shoes.

And never mind some jewelry not having a clasp.

At least the dozen and a half busstops now have a bus to stop?

An enormous amount of clothes sold here at DAZ (and other shops, too) must have been put on a person shortly after birth, because there's no zipper, buttons, laces or whatever one can use to open clothing so one can take it on or off again... they must have grown into these clothes (mostly female ones..)

They might be meant for satyrs/goat legged people. That way no shoes are needed!

I wonder if satyrs need toilet seats...

I don't know if it would offend US building regulations -- well, we don't have uniform nationwide building regulations -- but in most places that I've lived, a bathroom that directly off the kitchen, in what appears to be a fairly large residence, would be notably odd.

According to JK Rowling, Hogwarts didn't have toilets for the first few centuries either. She said the students would just do their business in a private corner, and magically vanish the mess. But how do the Star Wars universe get rid of their excrement? Most of them don't have any magical powers.

    The top lifts off R2-D2.

...just make sure that R2 unit doesn't have a bad motivator wink

Thanks, I needed a good laugh today.

Another issue with this set - the two throw pillows on the couch are a separate mat zone on the couch, and the one at the right end is floating a couple of inches up off the seat. Minor, but irritating.

Houses in my neighborhood have them. My downstairs bathroom is right off the kitchen. Maybe it depends on the area of the country you're in, and how old your house is.

I think things may have changed in the regs. In our last house in the year 2000 I changed the outside toilet of our victorian terrace style house into one that opened off the kitchen with a single door. It was fully building regs compliant (and was signed off as being so by the inspector). However I did need a sink with hot & cold water & permanent ventilation of 1800mm^2 that could not be closed off. I arranged the latter by building the sash window from scratch & making sure the two parts didn't meet by 3mm at the central horizontal bar. This meant that the inspector initially failed the installation because he couldn't see the ventilation, and only when I pointed it out did he agree it existed (he'd never heard of someone making their own sliding sash window before, but I reckoned £26 of timber and a weekend was vfm compared to £800 for a custom sash window, and only a sash would look right). When we sold the house in 2004 the buyer's surveyor also said it was non compliant until I dug out the 2000 regs and he agreed that he'd forgotten that the change had happened.

    Regards

    Richard

This alledgedly has a bidet https://www.daz3d.com/small-forest-house (and though it has no lid, has a toilet seat)

But it's a small shower attachment next to the toilet...

Again?  Seriously?  I've traveled all over the world and i've never seen a western style toilet that didn't have a lift-up seat...

True story: for work I had to spend time in a factory in Spain.  Eventually, as will happen, I had to use the facilities and I saw that there were two men's rooms. One had a sign "Jefes' (bosses, basically) and the other had "Empleados" (non-bosses).  I was a visitor so I said 'well, I guess I'm not the boss so I'll use the emplyee one.'  Toilets had no seats.  Hmmm.  So I said 'maybe I am a boss'  and walked over to that one. Seats!

Talk about rank having its priveledges.

Do you mean the built in type as is included in so many Japanese style toilets or the separate bowl on the side as shown in Crocodile Dundee?  I've seen the later a couple of times, but can't remember seeing the former anywhere.  Not that they're hard to add, either in 3D or real-life.

My nearly 50 year old house has a bathroom that opens on the dining area of the kitchen... thoug it IS seperated by a large counter and approx 20 feet from the cooking/food prep areas... but I was really surprised to find that there was a bathroom door in the kitchen of my brother's new pricy condo, right next to the fridge, and that building is only ten years old.  Of course, that's a three story building and the reason is that all of the water/plumbing pipes for all three floors have to come up through the same central access tube in order to be accessible.

..I still use the Flyer jacket for M4/V4 which has working zippers has and just retexture it as needed.
