Replicate a face from a frontal photo, at hand, no plugins that fails

Had anyone tried this?, is doable or is impossible?, is my resignation hire a Zbrush artist for $500 USD to do that morph?

any tip is valuable for me, I post the photo to achieve or search for "Sakura Miyawaki" for more references.

no faces in DAZ store near enough?

I reckon you could tweak her myself
    https://www.daz3d.com/lancy-character-with-dforce-hair-and-expressions-for-genesis-8-female

hate to say it but those K pop singers have had a lot of work and makeup

I have Lancy and many others asian female assets, going to try some, thanks for the advice!

regardless I'm open to other suggestions, this is not the end.

It looks pretty good from the front. You might get it slighter better if you edited the photo image, removing the glasses and hair from the face. [I'm not sure but from your post I'm thinking you used Face Transfer.]

For a better 3D morph, this is the companion product which was an instant buy for many [including me] when it came out:

    https://www.daz3d.com/face-transfer-shapes-for-genesis-8

It corrects the flatness aspect of the profiles. Plus it has some extra morphs.

I don't have the paid version of Face transfer, considering that the free version does not create optimum results...

no I don't even actually own the one I linked

that is just Paragon Shinbi in Unreal who I thought resembles your Kpop singer

and yeah, DAZ studio loves playing crashy crash crash whenever I work on something and haven't saved

working in iray viewport with my card is asking for it!

fortunately for me I saved the file, I am following your idea of using other characters mixing formulas, still not Sakura but now I have a fine character for my library

I have facegen, if you want I could try to see what the result is from facegen? I'd need a good picture, evenly lit, front and side without glasses.

Here is girl you posted in Face Gen. Needs cleaning up to get rid of glasses and bangs, easily done in Gimp or Photoshop.

She’s not a K-pop singer, and it isn’t only because she isn’t Korean.

I know that @TritiumCG does very good custom modeling for like 50$ or so. He also has a freebie thread https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/373931/tritiumcg-freebie-thread#latest.

Off topic: she sings, yep, not Korean but Japanese on a Korean idol group named IZ*ONE.

on this picture I think you are very close mouth corners need to be turned down just a bit and mouth height raised up just a bit as well but I think the eyes are spot on and the face shape is right . but that's just my view .

that file was missed on the DS crash. Then I redone from scratch and was entirely different my approach

    I´m trying another tecnique

I have facegen but am unsure at the legality of sharing a morph made with it for other tthan my own use. The three pictures you post about look low contrast and too much hair on the forehead to give the best automated FaceGen results.

Since it isn't listed as a Merchant resource I believe you cannot legally share a morph made with it, regardless if it wouldn't be for money.

I used Face Transfer and the add on for it to do this ,used GIMP to get the hair off her forehead   and then ended up useing brow remover ,to get rid of her brows ,

yep is illegal, but just share your result!!,

if you convince me (or facegen convince me) I could buy the software. wink

No, it is perfectly legal to share the morph made by Facegen! it is right there in Facegen's legal section:

    https://facegen.com/artist_legal.htm

    "Legal

Texture images, morph targets and FaceGen '.fg' files created with Artist are yours to distribute."

And of course this would have been cleared by Daz's legal team in order for Facegen to post it. So its cool! You also share the .fg file too, so people can use the .fg file to create their own version from their own copy of Facegen.

So its fine. There are people at ShareCG that share their Facegen created faces. One is Dumbuser. He has a bunch of really cool Facegen people up.

I'd love to see some kind of sharing thread for Facegen creations. It should be its own thread.

I believe Face Transfer allows it as well, but I cannot find the readme file or any info on it. Perhaps somebody could chime in on this for clarification.

Hrmmm... I'll grab one of the pics and see what I can do with MRs. Probably cost me some time in Maya LT, but I might be able to pull it off.
