I have the Yamaki rig, I'm embarrassed to admit I didn't realize I didn't have the purple & green texture add-on or that rig already. Also, no trailers that I know of so.

For the bottle leave it to 3DU anytime you need a child's accessory usually

A bit toony but a retexture with iRay DAZ Uber shaders or similar product should remedy that.

I want that... But, I will have to wait for a price reduction. Its a bit high price for only the bottle... Maybe I can find something less.... The pacifier looks useful though.

Oh, I got to ride from southern Florida to Montreal, Quebec as a boy and sleep in such a rig sleeper before. That was an adventure although I could not read comics one bit with the constant vibrating that rig did. And the Canadian Customs Agent accused me of being smuggled person. It was interesting hearing Quebecois French on the CB Radio.

Okay, so now you have 2 daddies poses. 1 is for genesis baby, and the second for the Rosie morph for Sixus baby. Both are unique and made from scratch.  I have updated the zip. The poses load just like the carrier does which is to one side for easy parenting. (No pun intended). Pink infant is genesis. Orchid Infant is Rosie. Genesis Will need to be reduced to 41 percent height since he loads oversized.

Thanks, I think I'll download that one from turbosquid. Don't want anyone to see there is no formula inside the bottle! HA

I could use a baby  bottle if anyone has seen a free one.

There's also a bottle in the West Park Nursery Props set, of all things. https://www.daz3d.com/west-park-nursery-props

The "Clinical" texture set makes it look less ... West Park. https://www.daz3d.com/west-park-nursery-props-clinical

It has liquid inside it, although you could just texture the sides to be solid. (That said, I don't think real bottles have solid sides; you usually want to see how much the kid has been taking in.)

And it's all PlatClub stuff, so although it's not free, it's cheap.

Hmm.. That works for me. The clinical texture is less horror and more real, thanks! Great spot on that.

No problem. I used it once for an image with exhausted parents and their baby. It is a somewhat big bottle, so you may need to scale it down a bit.

I’m trying really hard not to look too closely at all the great baby poses, because if I do, I’m going to have to go and buy that darn baby...and the carrier...

I think I have to say the carrier is pretty good. I searched and googled for a freebie one, and only found one that looked lame that was free. I'm still looking for a good stroller. To whet your appetite, here is a preview of more to come.

Here we go. I found a really good or at least halfway decent stoller at Turbosquid... It was 10 bucks, but at least doesn't look low poly. It has 6 mat zones so you can recolor it with daz shaders.

Here's the first Daddy's Pose, I'm almost done, want to test render it.. I had to reduce the size of  Baby Rosie. Even with how big Boyd is, Rosie seems a bit gargantuan.. But I reduced her down 4 percent and it looks better here. There will be a few couples poses and a fair amount of singles in here, so people can mix and match.

One thing about the baby, I've discovered is the feet are really flat. Can't seem to get them to curl and move like a baby's does. Maybe shrinking them down that small there is limitations on what they can do. I will have to try Feral Fey's foot and toe product out and see if it can  make them look more lively. Either that or the baby needs some booties! Unfortunately, feral fey's product is not a merchant resource, however, definitly worth a gander.

I have that and infant feet tend to be more flat footed. I think the baby you have being cradledby Boyd is more like 12 - 24 months in typical size though.

  • Serene NightSerene Night Posts: 17,651

It’s the toes.  The little toes are really long.and the feet aren’t chubby I think.

Yeah Rosie is  pretty hefty. And this is reduced from default.

Genesis baby is oversized too. Lack of height standards strike again.

I't's a girl! And here's the pose. Its for M8 and Baby Rosie. Included are the 2 carrier poses and M8 & Rosie. I did a test run with Boyd, and it turned out well.

For what it's worth, for what I did for my image with a G3F baby, I found some measurements for average newborn size -- height, proportions, all that (but I don't remember where, unfortunately) transferred Genesis Baby via GenX and then scaled and tweaked G3F accordingly, using Spyro's Measure Wall to get the height right. I also used a onesie from Wendy's site (https://www.wilmapsdigitalcreations.co.uk/view_product.php?id=49 -- autofitted) because unless you do whatever Redz and Sixus1 did to make that baby, scaling G3 down that far does some ferocious compression to her shin bones, and they look it.

Also, I want to know about the part of the story that gets us to this point. How do we go from a couple happy-go-lucky military guys to daddies at large? Where did the kids come from? (Also, that must make for an interesting childhood. Sometimes Daddy's a human, sometimes he's a droid. Depends on the day.)

(Also, that must make for an interesting childhood. Sometimes Daddy's a human, sometimes he's a droid. Depends on the day.)

I've toyed multiple times with the idea that Owen and Boyd might have children someday. I haven't found a canon way to do it though that fits storywise. Ususlly the scenarios end up wtih Owen being a single dad, and Boyd returning from some place to try to re-establish a relationship. I don't particularly want to do the long separation storyline, as that happens once in the series already... So I keep tossing the idea around.

So at this stage its a bit of fantasy rather than anything else. I wanted to do some daddy poses, so I a threw Boyd and Owen in the role. I happen to find men with babies kinda cute.

They can't do everything, and I may deprive Owen of this subconcious desire to be a parent since characters are more interesting when not all their desires come to pass. There are certainly children to adopt after the war. Many of them, and Boyd has nieces and nephews which can be borrowed for the day so they can babysit. But in general Owen and Boyd are so busy that they don't even have a permanent house, or time for OWen to get a dog let alone, for them to adopt or have a test tube baby with their dna and the future is a pretty dangerous place as well, certainly not a place to bring a child into it...

At some point I think it will be revealed to Boyd via an alien encounter Owen's deep desires. And  they are to have a traditional life with a family like that. However, Owen is pragmatic and tosses off this desire as being unrealistic given the lives they lead, however, it does make Boyd think. Brains can be pretty selfish a lot of the time, because they have lots of needs to be met, and Boyd wonders if Owen's life necessarily suits him and if he's meeting Owen's needs.

They do of course talk about having kids someday, and Boyd would like a bio child. Owen wouldn't mind a bio child but also would like to adopt one.

They do have plenty of time as Owen does not age, and Boyd is bodyflexible...   I had even considered at one time, Owen and Boyd would serve their term in the military- get out at 55 take on their new 21 year old bodies provided as their new gi package and start ove with new identieis. Of course  can't really imagine what the new bodies would look like. I'm quite fond of their existing bodies.

EDIT: I do think having a body flexible dad would be interesting. But probably kids of the future are used to it. Owen's favorite math teacher was a cyborg. So such people exist and make impressions on people.

They could be babysitting as well.

Exactly. Boyd has four brothers three of whom are married plus two sisters. So there are likely kids around to parent.

Owen however has no relationship with his mom and doesn’t know his bio  dad.  He was raised by his Grandfather. If he has brothers and sisters they are likely radicalized like his biomother. and are people he doesn’t want to know. His mom is a human supremacist and on the terrorist watch list for destroying androids and eco terrorism.

Or these could be "scenes" that are revealed to Boyd during that alien encounter. These are the dreams Owen has.

That could be true. The aiens are quite fond of using psychological weapons instead of physical weapons to defeat humanity. Owen's fantasies are a normal life but it is possibly a bit late for him. He's been a soldier since he's 17 and doing this job is all he knows and he knows it too.  It will be tough to assimilate back into civilian life once the war is over. Especially with all the mods and training soldiers of the future receive.

It was one of the reasons that Owen only ever dated Military guys before he met Boyd. He had difficulty relating to the civilian men he encounters, even though truthfully of the two of them, Owen is the sensitive one, although most of that has been drilled and trained out of him.

As far as Boyd goes, he likes the exitement of being a pilot and the freedom to be out of the tank.. and the only reason he'd ever want to settledown would be to be with Owen.  HE wouldn't mind kids if they were Owens kids, but he's not sure how he will be as a father. He's a bit worried he will become like his own Dad, who as a Marine Commander is stern and unrelenting... The same way Boyd occasionally can be in his darker moments.

As far as Boyd's fantasies go, they likely involve being a superhero and saving the planet. He's always been a hardcore nerd fond of comics and superheros.

Boyd is a bit selfish as brains are prone to being, they need to be, since they are very vulnerable.

but he does love and want to protect Owen. If he felt Owen wanted kids he'd tried to make it happen for him or at least give the idea due consideration Unfortunately for him, Owen rarely expresses specific wants or desires beyond Boyd grabbing him a new pack of underwear at the store. So thats probably an issue they need to work on since Boyd wants to pull his own weight in the relationship. Boyd is a joyful person and loves life. He wants Owen to be as happy as he is and getting Owen to lighten up and be accepting of help from time to time would make his day.

Well, I'm stumbling with Car crash poses today. I had a couple hours to make some, but I'm having trouble finding vehicles of the same height with enough options. Cars with windows that can roll down for example. Impossible to find. I am lucky if I can find them with a separate map for the door so I can make the glass obaque. I may do a motorcyle pose instead. I don't have the patience for testing each cars window right now... Ha

Ah, just after posting my rant, I found the Roadster and Coup work well together. I am appeased. I guess I need to just rant and the answer will come to me. =-)

I also think I'm going to stick to the older releases. For some reason the newer vehicles I've bought have fewer options than the older ones.

The Ranger and Roland have windows that roll down.

  • Serene NightSerene Night Posts: 17,651

I am attempting a simple 'through the window kiss' pose using the ranger. Unfortunately, although the window does roll down, it doesn't go all the way down, so leaning on the window to steal a kiss is impossible. May have to hide the glass pane, but I don't wanna... It hides the other glass.

Use the geometry editor to select the polygons of the pane you want to hide and hide it that way?

Yeah but other people who use the pose with that vehicle won’t be able to... unless they want to do the same thing.
