Thanks! I'm just doing some pondering on whether or not I can get by with dialing in GenX'd versions of Aiko in for characters that use the A6 shape rather than buying A6. Her head seems to be getting smaller as the years go on. lol

    Greetings,
After a bit of fighting with the shading rate on skin (had to drop it down to 0.5 to get rid of banding), here's my first A6 image. I used FW Lin for this, and I couldn't find an undershirt for the outfit, so I went with it as it is. :)

Those statements are completely compatible with each other; one can acknowledge that it's an updated version, and at the same time be upset that someone minimizes the amount of work that went into updating it.

Let's not start fights; this is a time for celebration! :)

    Hi Morgan,

I made no comment about either post and posted their comments complete so they could not be taken out of context.

I felt should be seen together, that's all, to give the reader a completed context as to both of their remarks.

FTR: I own many FW and FWD products. I would definitely and unreservedly recommend the artist's products (re-work or not).

Today I am trying to decide which Aiko 6 package & products I shall purchase tomorrow, since my interests are the skins and hair for this go around.

    I like her a lot.
I like the stylised body shape with the over long legs, and personally I really can't see any similarity to the Girl 6.

    I like that!

Maybe mix in some Girl scale to up the head size? I'll try it. Do you see how much longer her legs are?

Girl might work. I think she's got bigger eyes than Aiko still, which will also help. I did notice the leg length- the entire pelvic region moved up, yet her overall height stayed the same. o_O

Lotus is a simple refit of Generation 4 version

Sorry, but it's not just a simple re-fit, and to make that assumption is just ludicrous. The mesh has been altered from the Aiko 4 version. Things have been added, things removed and textures reworked to a higher resolution for extra clarity. The character is completely made again from scratch, as the UVs aren't even the same, neither is the base skin. The original was V4's UVs. This has been updated to Genesis 2 Base Female UV. So every eye, make-up and option had to be reworked from scratch.

This is just to clarify to customers that think that this product was a quick 're-vamp' It was not. It took a lot of time and work to convert over, and frankly I find your assumption very insulting!

I was wondering if there will be an Aiko 6 version of the Lotus Flower Add-on? I'm guessing that the textures won't work on the new version of Lotus Flower, with all the changes you made to it.

I love the promos for this. It's in my cart; just need to finish shopping before I buy.

The add-on pack stuff is all bundled together in the Aiko 6 version as one product. (see the make-up, eye and head dress options, the lace optoins, funky eye options and dark geisha options are all from the add-on pack). I just decided to release it as one big pack this time around instead of faffing around with bundles and add-ons. :)

Thanks, I'm finally getting the chance to download (I've had a long render going for my wife). I should get to play with it tonight. Yay! :cheese:

Thanks, Aiko is and always was one of my favorite figures so bought the pro bundle (and most other A6 stuff) this morning.

Made a quick test render just before i had to go to work. Definitly not disappointed and really like her.

Great work DAZ and the PA's

Jerham, LOVE IT! That is totally gorgeous! Where are the stockings from?

G2F has a head scale dial, it looks good at 5 to 10 percent.

A lot of people seem happy with the new shape, and I have to admit the new version of Lotus looks stunning.

I was wondering, though, if there would be any customers interested in an "Iconic Aiko for Genesis 2 Female" morph set based on A3. I've put it together for myself, with thumbnails on the sliders, etc, and I could see if DAZ is interested in carrying it. It would have to be a DAZ Original (a buyout) because they own the Aiko 3 shape.

You can certainly do this for yourself with GenX2. It's just a bit of extra work to organize the sliders, add the thumbnails, etc. No guarantees any of the textures or morphs we're seeing for A6 would look good, though, since they're designed for a different base shape.

I'm sure there would be a ton of people interested in that. Personally, just as you said, I transferred A3 and XinXin myself through GenX2 (I know everybody loves Sylphie, but XinXin's my fave :P). OT, but why would it need to be a DO? I've seen other generation shapes and uvs for Gen2 that aren't buyouts.

Usually NEVER render a figure right off but this little girl is just precious. She does remind me allot of Aiko 3 Realistic and I used that shape the most. SO.... I did this little bit. Not very good render, I need to work on the lighting more. The shadows kinda got in the way so this is post-worked in Photoshop using the Dodge brush and some filters to bring out the colors a bit more.

    Nice, what hair is that?

    G2Male
    Head Aiko 6 77% , M6 30%

I REALLY like this, scorpio64dragon! He looks awesome.

But...call me intensely dumb here....but how do you get the female morphs into the male?? i load up gen2male and the only things that show in the parameters OR the shaping tabs are male morphs. I've never actually tried to mix them before, so it only occured to me today...that I can't work out how to do it!

thought I might try her in Carrara
took me at least half an hour to load her, the gloves took about 15 mins alone to load and project morphs
    then applying all the textures

Just a quick test with the new girl and I’m really liking what I’m seeing. A6 base, Viking Male Hair, Cyria, Capsces A6 Poses, Skin Builder Pro, Awesome Eyes & the AoA Advanced Distant, Spot and Ambient lights. Rendered in DS4.6, no postwork.

i'm looking forward to the possible Fisty store sale with the release  sparkle shaders!

Thanks for the support guys =) The cheongsam outfit (it has shoes too) is going to be included with one of daz' bundles so I doubt I will have store sale with it, there is something else coming soonish though that probably will so you shouldn't have to wait too long.

Here are some Poser renders of the different styles.. sorry for the lack of pretty background and stuff and it's on the V6 body shape.. but you get the idea. =)

I'm waiting.... Where is the cheongsam outfit? I didn't see it today either. Did I missing something.

I just have one little question... Where's Xiao Mei? I pretty much bought Aiko on the strength of that asian beauty alone. She's not in any of the bundles, and she's not available as a standalone purchase either. Hopefully she's coming out ... dare I say "soon" ...and was only put back a bit for admin reasons.

I should really see a doctor about my addiction to Pro bundles. I mean, Aiko's great and all but I have literally hundreds of 'figures' now and I probably only use about 12 of them regularly. Oh well, I'm sure I'll pick up another one when someone (hopefully?) releases a more anime-esque morph for Aiko to bring back her more stylized and cartoon looks.

Both are sadly waylaid apparently, probably working their way through the backlog of stuff to release, either in the hands of an overloaded QA, or just backed up behind a lot of other items. Their time will come. This always happens with big releases.

Also, if you bump the default head by about 15% (propagating head size), thin the lips a little, and use the EXCELLENT Visual Style Shaders on her skin, she looks...well, as Anime-esque as you can expect. :)

    As for me, FOXFOXFOXFOXFOXFOXFOXFOXFOXFOXFXOFOXFOXFOXFOXFOX!!!!

Dammit, now I have more things to buy! But seriously, thanks. I'm not sure how I missed that. I guess at first glance I thought it was a pose set rather than a set of morphs.

I especially like how Sickleyield provides a set of different types of anime girl in the pack. Gives a nice range of options.

Edit: Thought I'd try Aiko using the toon shaders. I've blended it with 'classic' Aiko 6 on the left.

Well the cheongsam dress is called Xiao Mei's Finery... and ShanasSoulmate made an add on for it. The dress and character have been through QA for quite a while but I'm betting they're waiting on the add on textures to catch up before releasing them all together. They're all Daz- O's now though so who knows..
