for the peoples which already bought the bundle, what is the poly count of the outfits?

    for the 2 outfits.

If it doesn't say Alerune in front, it's the Handmaiden outfit.

hmmm thanks, really don't look so bad, as away the big problem is on the boots, lol, lol those boots with 38k, well, i would love to try to buy but i can't now, i have to wait a little more days before i can buy it at last until friday, when my money comes.

well now with 31,76 price it's don't look so bad as it looked at the beginning, but i must wait a little more time before i can buy it, the character itself still looks "too manly" and bulk but at last it will be for the "outfits and the extra characters and some "hd details" and make ups.

Well I was weak, LOL I really like her look and for $32 for the pro bundle, why not.

I wanted to also see what she looked like slimmed down a bit, At last that is my excuse and I'm sticking with it, LOL

Wow smokin hot! Glad to see she is able to be slimmed down. I like my girls on the petite side

I like that shape! She actually looks like a warrior - one who trains each day and fights etc.

Also...omg i am shocked, SHOCKED I tell ya, that YOU bought a pro bundle???? If 2020 hadn't convinced me the world was ending, then this certainly does! *evil grin* cheekycheekylaugh

And the answer is... pretty dang good. She looks much more like Rune (or the aforementioned fitness guru Zuzka Light) in your render. Did you obtain that shape with only the Freja morphs, or did you mix them with something else? Looks good either way - I'm just curious if that build is available 'out-of-box'.

Thanks. i used the full freja morph and then used quite a few standard morphs to change the hip, the arms, the thighs and neck and then the standard and Soto breast morphs to give her more of a chest. then a little vascularity since there isn't an HD morph yet. The default was just to big and manly for my tastes.

Yeah, the fact Freja comes with a separate bulk slider makes her far more versatile

Initial doodling around with Freja. Being of Danish heritage, she reminds me A LOT of my cousins when we were all younger.

Yes! Looks like our guesses were correct -- BOTH of them! It's in today's bundle, and it is indeed another fabulous AprilYSH creation. I do hope the fringe is its own separate material zone, though I kinda doubt it will be.

Assuming a good price, I'll probably be picking this bundle up + the outfits from yesterday and Freja. Worth noting that the base price of the bundle is still pretty damn high for a nine-item kit, though. $137.95, I expect some Stonemason in there or something, not a frickin' Dog 8 morph and cartoony weapons. But the hair is gorgeous, the poses are actually lovely, and I like the Sigurd outfit. I can probably use some of Runa's geoshell materials, and I may be able to cobble some docks and small farmsteads from the Viking Shores set. I frankly need the blood splash product, gonna have to bake those slow L.I.E. elements though.

Wish we could get a better look at the shoes that come with the Marida outfit. I hate when PAs do the clay render without the individual elements separated out, leaving us guessing about what footwear, etc. looks like because it's hidden underneath long clothing (dresses, skirts, trousers).

The weapons just look silly and I wish I could substitute pretty much anything for the direwolf.

On the whole, though, this bundle is WAAAAAY more coherent than yesterday's, though I note that Runa is yet another character who does not require Freja.

Hair, blood spatter (can't have enough blood!!), dire wolf - that's what I'm interested in. :)

Very nicely done, and a good look at the outfit.

  • Lol well I'll tell you what, you can have mine and start a pack of them. I'm not even sure why I own Dog 8, tbh. Possibly a monetary sacrifice to the DAZ gods in hopes of Cat 8 (which we'll never see).

I will say it feels a lot sus to have a bundle item be a morph/texture for a product that is not included in the bundle. Now, I'm glad they're not shoveling old content into this one (Horse 2, anyone?) but honestly, the direwolf should be down in the add-on section and not a main bundle item. It relies on content that isn't included and must be purchased separately. This is one time where outfit textures would actually make more sense, at least the outfit is part of the bundle itself.

Thanks Jaki and Cora! :D  I saw the promos yesterday and was confused Iselind hair wasn't out yet, so tried to ignore it since I had no idea what was happening lol. The Freja 8 promo artists made the hair look so good!! Hope you guys get some joy out of it too :)

There isn't a preset to turn the fringe off but here's what you could do manually since it's a geometry selection set...

I put the bundle into my cart -- I have a purple banner since I did pick up Freja's bundle yesterday.

It came in at $87 plus change. But then, practically nothing on today's new page has its new release discounts showing. Cleared it out of the cart, and will check again tomorrow.

Ahhh, thank you! So long as that geometry is a separate bit I can just turn invisible, all is well in the world. I've got one character who would rock that fringe, but another who would sooner shave his head, LOL. I will admit that I haven't looked at the other hair I have from you in the editor because I've never had the need, and so had no idea just how well-defined everything is. I've got some hair styles where things are just pounded together in the strangest ways, though I assume the artist did it for a reason. It's wonderful to see how beautifully put together this one is!

Once the store calms down, it shall be mine. Good things are worth waiting for, but all the same I really can't wait to get started with this one. I was more anxious about whether it would appear in the store today than what the PC+ for a day stuff would be.

As an aside, I am so grateful for all the very region-specific adjustment morphs you include in your hair. Knowing those are there takes a lot of the "can I make this work with my character" anxiety out of the picture. I use mostly male characters and while the CFRC + scene ID takes care of the lion's share of the work, having so many points where I can tweak the fit away from the base male shape is a godsend. I almost always use anywhere from four to all six of the temple morphs, for instance, and the fit is so much nicer than it could ever be with a single "Adjust Temples In-Out" dial. :>

  • Hm. I'm assuming $32 is the lowest the new Battle bundle is going to go? *Ponders...*

I know an AprilYSH hair when I see one, I tell ya! laughlaugh

I had a look at the store tonight, and do you know, I own 108 April hairs....LOL! (which means there is only 105 left to get!!! mwahahahahahahaha)

Thanks for the tip on the geometry thingy!

Im making a fast preview about the shoe textures for you, if you allow.

sorry, no special light, its just downloaded into daz, iray view, and screenshots.

Question: Anyone getting exploded Alerune Outfit - or is it just me?

tried to dforce simulate Freja 8 with the Alerune Outfit.

starting from memorized pose - 50 seconds and ... boom

took a screenshot at 10 seconds where the boom started.

    Hi.

Best ways to avoid mesh explosions, in general are:

1)Hide items that are in hands first. When they intercept the fabrics the effects can be indeed explosive.

    2)Keep "memorised pose "off"

While setting your timeline, also, make sure that the hands are also not intercepting the fabrics which are very often the cause of the mesh going barbwire-boom.

    Hope this helps. wink

Giving adjustments is at their discretion, apparently, and that "cannot be used to purchase an owned item at a lower price" exception keeps turning up more and more often. Lots of people got seriously screwed over during the marathon, multi-day, three-bundle release for Sukai 8 and I honestly don't know how that worked out for them.

That said, those releases all dropped in the latter half of the week and there were three of them. Freja's stuff is dropping midweek and the info DAZ leaked on her product page only mentioned two bundles, Maiden (yesterday) and Battle (today). My hangup is whether or not they plan on doing a pro bundle give-away like they did during one or two of the releases this summer for the PC+ promos. Of course, that was for buying a single pro bundle and used the old bundle format, not the multi-part themed bundles...

I really do want that hair right now, though, so I'll likely bite even without a purple banner (I did the math and buying the Maiden bundle just to get one would amount to spending an extra $20 to save $8).

Only if you open a ticket and ask politely. I received the purple banner for the Viking Maiden bundle yesterday 3 hours after I bought it. I asked if I can have the 20% discount back, please, and this morning it was booked to my store credit.

Oh, bless you, and I'm sorry. It's late (early) here and I'm getting tired, I should have written promo artists instead of PAs. Everything is just kind of mush inside my head right now. I think I'm just nostalgic for the Good Old Days when the habit was rendering an image that had each of the outfit components off by itself, probably brought on by looking at lots of older products lately.

Thank you so much for that screenshot, it makes me a lot more confident about the shoes! I was hoping they'd be something simple like this, but with them tucked up under the long dress in all the shots it's impossible to tell from the promos whether they have just the single strap across the foot, or a rogue "wrapped up to the knee" sort of deal. I adore the worn leather textures that you've done for them (also the quilted yellow gown)! I will definitely have to pick up the texture expansion, those and the shoes will be perfect for some of my townsfolk. :)

no worries. i many times frustrated, when they dont do lie, or other options. i think they have the own policy, what have to show, and what not. dont know :)

but anytime if you ask a closeup render about an outfit what i work with, im gladly do, just ask. also i think i saw a thread what focused to this. so i think only need just ask :)

i am happy you like it. if you like, and buy the outfit, probably not a bad idea adding smart fur to cape too :D (hinthint) (ok, im just fallen into smart fur XD)

    have a wonderful day!

Glad to see the hair is out. Instabuy.

I really like that AM has worked with Dog 8 on the Direwolf...love his fur. I have Wolf 2.0, but it definitely was showing its age.

I'm disappointed with several things in today's bundle (the Battle bundle). The blood doesn't look like blood at all. There's no texture or sheen to it...and it doesn't look like dried blood either. I think it probably would have been better applied as an independent geoshell with its own bump/normal/specularity than as LIE. As others have said, the weapons look cartoony. And lastly, the Marida gown, while textured nicely, does some really horrendous bending at the shoulders and waist. In the promos, the figure is just standing in a simple, not-extreme-in-the-least pose, and the metal pieces are all sorts of wonkified. Nope. That's a deal-breaker for me when I'm buying clothing for characters. I've been burned too many times with stuff that I can't use at all for this reason.

So now I'm down to this...I buy the bundle, plus the HD add-on and the Sigurd textures and that puts me at $51.76 with my purple banner. I get a bunch of stuff I won't install. OR. I go a' la carte and buy just what I want, which is 5 things and pay $42.53. HMMMM. (I've spent way too much over the last couple days for sure, because I already bought yesterday's bundle.)

I quite liked the Dire Wolf, unfortunately I can't use it since it's dForce hair/fur and sicne i can't even render the house cat with fur I am unlikely to be able to render the wolf :( If it had come with Catalyzer LAMH I would def be wanting it.

Other than that I truly liekd the village, but I had to decide between getting that or getting the hair.. and the hair won :)

$32? Damn. I can't get it to go lower than $37.83, even with purple banner.
