Rain down south on the coast, but none here in Austin. The little creek a half block from my house is completely dry on the west side of the street. A few pools remain on the east side. Bright blue sky and lots of sun this morning. Maybe I should strip and rain dance around the front yard.

    :)

so you the source of the rainy labor day

If I go out today, I can stay home and render all tomorrow and not wake up Tuesday all partied out. BUT, if I go out tomorrow then I can keep fighting this annoying as heck demon render and working on the Vicky's Diner character list! :blank:

Maybe I just need a break, and to make a SPACE TUNA render. :)

Vicky and Aiko both went to UAT.. they were friends for a while, but Aiko went one way and Vicky another.. there's some competition between them now...

And it's not just about restaurants.. there is history I can't tell you.. :red: this webcomic is as deep as a Jane Austen novel :blank:

Do you ever expect me to be so simple? :smirk:

i'm not confident my villains are villainous enough. i expect them to defer to reason.

i was able to accept Prince Zuko coming round to the good guys, it was a long journey for him and he grew as a person.

D.V. was too quick, all of a sudden he turned?

still debating the tentacles. maybe i should just write it, then decide if it breaks the story.
deleted more exposition, i should 'show' in a new chapter.

the editing book i'm reading has a point on proportion, basically says spending too much detail on something not used later in the story can make the reader feel cheated. dunno.

chatting about writing reminds me how much i miss jaderail. sigh. :(

--No Money for beer this weekend (but do have a couple bottles in the fridge and a bottle of potato wodka in the freezer).

    Caturday Non Complaints:

--Discovered I have a 5$ GC over at Rendo for entering the Miss Renderosity Challenge Last Month (even though my kid never made it past the first round). Have to redeem it by end of day tomorrow (need to find something 5$ or less that I will use as I have no extra cash to spare right now). May as well enter the Grab Bag deal as well and get something for free to boot (maybe I'll luck out and get a cool set by Powerage).

there's a big 70% sale there right nao
...thanks for the notice. Found our that one of my wishlist items "Flinks Water 2" was on sale. Can never have too many good water props (considering I'm doing so many scenes that involve water lately). As the "grab bag": item got a classy 1950s swimsuit ensemble which will really look good on my little Leela for her next pinup scene.

Was a tough choice as I also had the C-G's Apocalyptic Bar on the wishlist as ell, but really been hurting for more water prop that work in Daz.

Samuel was raised in America by his Grandfather, Jiro, who defected from the Miya Ninja Clan. Do not be deceived by the man in the wheelchair. He is Akuma, Lord of the Miya Ninja Clan and is Samuel's most dangerous foe. Despite being crippled by Jiro on the day Samuel was born, he rules the clan with an iron fist. To his left is Ryoko, Samuel's half sister, raised by Akuma to be his lieutenant. On his right, is Lady Tsukiko, Jiro's sister. Her serene exterior hides the mind of a dangerous master of poison and a powerful mage.

    ...really, really nice.

did someone say Friday? tahrahrahboobee-ayy, lie, ;) not that much energy this morning. shoulda got an extra shot of espresso this morning.

waited an hour and half for the bus last night. and the bus's phone center shuts before 17:00 can't even call them to bitch about it.

still polishing my double flashback chapter for confusion spots.
made into a chapter 1 and he's remembering 15 years ago. makes it only one layer of flashback. chapter 2 is 'four' years later. :) - i cans feel almost happy about it now.

seriously thinking about putting tentacles on the cover, but then i'd have to add a tentacle scene to the novel. gratuitous tentacles or make it relevant. i have to override my own inhibitions, can't have my sense of grossout interfere with the story.

if i finish rendering my covers this weekend, will be that much less temptation to spend more money on content. only thing left calling to me from my w/l is the omnifreaker extra layer thingee.

...there are no such things as "gratuitous tentacles". ;-)

Been designing more characters for the story (hence the comment earlier about slender women in leather trench coats). Currently working the lead antagonist, Ms Rita Kovec, who is head of the S.I.D. (State Intelligence Directorate) which basically runs the Serbian regime (which occupies both Croatia and Bosnia-Herzogovina) in the future. Maleficent has nothing on her when it comes to pure evilness and she's even make the likes of Stalin and her "mentor" Mr. Milošević wince.

maleficent was the bad lady in disney sleeping beauty?
...yes as ell as the central character in a new live action film (which BTW is at the neighbourhood pub cinema, may have to go see it to get more "inspiration").

...remember the parade scene near the end of the first Batman film (the Michael Keaton one)?

Batman had just flown by in the Batplane and cut all of the Joker's (Jack Nicholson) Smilex™ gas filled balloons loose so they would float safely away from the crowd below. The Joker shook his fist at the sky and shouted "why didn't anyone tell me he had one of those...Things?" after which he turns to his lead Henchman, Bob, and asks him, "Bob, Gun" After taking the weapon from Bob, Joker turns and shoots him.

    That is villainous.

My Rita is sort of like that, and then some.

    ...Post Catruday Hangover complaintz.

--Slept later than I wanted to.
--Have to be careful with that Black Boss Porter (9.1%)
--Badgers choked in the fourth quarter after leading LSU 24 - 7 in the third to lose the game by 4 after a stupid interception. Seems it is true, they never can seem to "finish" a big game, always finding some way to screw things up. Hope my Packers fare better against Seattle on Thursday.
--Got stuck in a "Kansas Gullywasher" rainstorm yesterday (though as able to quickly find shelter)
--BBQ for tomorrow cancelled as other RL issues for one of the organisers came up.

    Non Complaints:

--Stipend for the new month came early (most likely because tomorrow is a holiday).
--Weather forecast for tomorrow now calls for Sunny and 80°. 3$ pint day at one of the local brewpubs that also makes good burgers guess that ill have to be my holiday BBQ.
--Neil Diamond playing at the coffee shop.
--As mentioned earlier, finally have one of the water props I've been wanting (downloading now).
