This caught me completely off-guard, because I didn't remember him making a pit bull. So I checked his store, saw Bully, and then remembered that I have some bizarrely specific mental disorder that prevents me from remembering that that is what a pit bull looks like. Every time I picture a pit bull in my head, it's more like a Doberman Pinscher.
Yes, I used Bully. But in my shaping dials, it says "Pitbull". The same thing with Baxter. It just says "English Bulldog HD".
I'm used to seeing pitbulls because they're popular where I live, along with Chihuahuas/Chihuahua mixes, and some curly little dogs that are probably Poodle mixes. I've seen a couple of Huskies, but I feel bad for those because I live somewhere very hot..
He's a charmer but I have never had much luck with dForce. So I am worried that if I buy him I would end up returning because I couldn't figure out how to make him look good.
Thanks, Catherine.
I hope Daz will release a pug some day...maybe...
I bought the Bulldog and then yesterday the Poses as they seemed to have some mouth, tongue poses. Every other image has mouth open or tongue out.

I know I'm lazy but there seems to be no tongue or mouth poses in there :(
Am I expecting too much?
well there is https://www.daz3d.com/pugsley-the-stylized-pug
I don't think you will have to much trouble. The short dforce hair on him is not terrible to dforce but then there are other options. You can use the version without hair. Or add the hair but don't simulate it. I have attached a quick render off my laptop to show the hair that hasn't been simulated.
My issue with the fur is that there isn't enough of it...like it's too sparce. A good example is on the feet. This seems to be a huge issue with pretty much all dForce fur. I get it, system resources, but why bother that point.
Is there a way to make it more full?
Hmm Im sure there is I will have to look what the settings might be. The issue would be that you wont be able to change like just the feet it would be the whole body (as far as I know). I will have to get on my desktop with my notes at this time I don't have access to it. Plus it makes testing easier because it takes forever to start/render on this laptop.
And if a Chug will do, Sparky has one over at Philosopher's Egg. It's based on the Hivewire dog, however. She has something like a dozen different morphs for that base.
ETA: For the fur, CWRW has LAMH fur sets for the dog and house cat over on Rendo. She'll probably work on Strand-based version once the transition gets sorted. She was beginning to produce thse for the most recent Hivewire models.
That is very nice, Thanks! I wasn't sure if there was a non dForce version. Sold!

Retired
playing with bulldog in Carrara
The couple of tips I had didn't make much difference and/or didn't render because it dropped to CPU. Also because of the up close renders I noticed some areas of the feet (specially the toes) have no hair at all...
Yes, I have purchased this one long time ago. Thanks for the remainder...
I would prefer to have similar to this one, though...
Pugsley - https://www.daz3d.com/pugsley-the-stylized-pug - and the Bulldog...
... and the render of the same scene after dForce simulation.
Not so much change, but anyway...
3DU Pug just needs a less toony texture and fur too IMO to look more real
