This needs to be said, it was a very disappointing showing to say the least.
It's pretty easy to sell me a Jessaii bundle, but Dharma and the Flower Power outfit and textures are the items that interest me, so this way of splitting the items will cost Daz the sale today, and I'll put the bundle on my wishlist instead.
Not upset - I already have more content than I'm actively using anyway. Just wanted to share my thoughts/feedback on this one.

What PC+ banner? I've been a member since like 2006 and I don't get the member banners. I put in a ticket a week ago for that and to get on the Mailing list, which apparently I was removed from some time ago and still no response. I guess Daz REALLY doesn't want me as a customer...

That's for sure. Only 22 items to choose from and most are texture sets. Just ignore it.
If it's supposed to entice me to buy the bundle to get the extra discount, it failed. :(
You don't really need the banner. The same offer is in today's promo ad under "Celebrate 21 Years of DAZ" . Also as others have mentioned ther are only 22 items, none of which are very exciting.
Well, since most of the rest of the store is tied up in other promotions, there wasn't much left to let go at that price.
I didn't get the banner, and apparently that was the only mention of the sale? I mean, I'm not broken-hearted or anything since there was nothing there to miss, but no notices going out at all? I never saw a promo ad, either, on the shop page.

Anybody any idea how long the 15% coupon which is usable twice might be valid? Used it one time already but would like to wait for the second time usage a little longer.
What 15% off coupon? I’m really feeling out of the loop here...I did finally get an orange banner but it was for old animal/creature stuff I’ve already picked through a zillion times. It seems the PC banner was the same as the actual store promo then. Nothing extra?
It came in e-mail, and was triggered by owning 8.1 bundles of Victoria, Cleopatra, Jacqueline and Brooke (I don't own Brooke and I still got the e-mail).
It sure looks like if you never buy any 8.1 bundle, you won't get any such banner anymore, I am afraid. You may have to buy some bundle first. It is a bit of a snowball. Start buying bundles, you then get discounts for other bundles, buying which triggers more discounts.
Yeah, the only 8.1 bundle I got was the White Priestess but that didn’t trigger any discounts on anything else. There were no good deals on any bundles going forward so I stopped buying them. Plus I really don’t like the new PBR skin shaders and the duplicate expression sliders. I don’t really have a need for G8.1 but would get it if there was a great deal for the bundle. I will definitely get Mousso’s new characters eventually. If I don’t get good deals on bundles, I just don’t buy them so they are actually punishing themselves more than me by not offering the discounts. They are losing sales they could have gotten...
oh nooooooooo .. I think I'm out of the DAZ sales loop. Rare banners, no coupons in my email; Once you're out, the pricing too high, so you end up in further out. Out out. way out Well, there's always fast grab and great buy flash sales if you get lucky enough on your timing. I missed the one this morning by a minute. I had put 1 product in cart, the next went in at full price and the other changed to full price. Next step, clear cart. All things must pass.
Which is exactly why I think it’s weird for Daz to stop giving deals to their historically best customers. With no deals, I just don’t buy new products. Do they really think I’m going to buy things at a higher price than everyone else? Nope. They just have to wait six months to a year for my money when I eventually get the products at an even deeper discount. I can wait, but it gets frustrating, and I just end up venting in the forums lol.
What does Daz gain by withholding coupons and banners from me? It may eventually get so frustrating, that feeling of being left out of a party that I used be part of, that I stop shopping here altogether. I used to praise Daz marketing, even thought they were brilliant, because they were so good at manipulating me into buying things I had not intended because the deals were so good. Now I just throw things frustratingly in the wishlist, pissed off that others got a deal I didn’t get. Then I have a lot of time, months to years to decide if I still really want them and if the price is low enough. They sure stopped my impulse buying!
yes..i used to impulse buy a lot. Now, I put stuff in my cart and wait. Then I go back and ask myself if its something I can use in the next 6 months or so at the price, and most of the time I decide to wait. I don;t even put them in my wishlist anymore. Some day when they show up on the PC+ sale or PC for day , I'll pick them up. Plus, I have enough stuff already I don;t need any more. The right enticement gets me every time though
Just produce good stuff... pretty girls with the kind of outfits I won't turn down, and then I usually do not care about discounts. LOL.
It's the lack of good product that requires bigger discounts for me to buy.
I don't care about what people say on the internet about Daz stuff. I am those people on the internet, I think. Or, I trigger those people. Something like that. The thing is, I'm the buying audience right now, today... not the audience that doesn't play in Daz & thinks it's only pr0n or whatever.
Appealing to "lizardbrain stuff that makes me want to buy" will win over any pseudo-intellectual "what people really ought to buy in a moral universe" arguments about what to put in the store, IMO.
I started using Daz late last year...and immediately got introduced to the Black Friday and Christmas sales, which were amazing. I spent way too much money, but was happy with everything I got and can stay busy with it for probably years. I've been keeping up my PC+ membership, and have been checking the sales every day, but to be honest, the sales since then have flat out sucked. Even the content seems to be lacking. Most of the new stuff added this year is completely uninteresting. Even some of the "artist" sales are meh. Seems like a few of them literally create the exact same content over and over again with a slight change and call it something new.
I have 500+ items on my wish list, but at this point, I may just let my PC+ membership lapse and check back again around Black Friday. Renderosity seems to be cranking out better figure models as of late.....I don't know why Daz is selling such mediocrity lately. :/
So you don't have a lot of old content and you haven't seen a pc+ annual sale yet? LOL. Better stock up on store credit for that one. I seriously think it's Daz's best sale.
Hmmm, nope, haven't seen anything like that yet. Something to look forward to then...good. I guess I was a bit disappointed because I couldn't get everything I wanted on sale during Christmas, and was told that "March Madness" would have similiar deals. I kept waiting and kept waiting. They seemed to be any other day sales...nothing special.
When do they usually do the annual sales?
so now we can pay over time and an email coming with a coupon for 20% off. No coupon yet.
