Please, DAZ, listen to the folks here and just get rid of it. It's aggressive, it's annoying, and it's a very, very silly little thing.
I am deleting cookies and I would be fine IF the popup staid gone during one session ... it does NOT. It stopped showing in the forums - but at the store it shows on every new page.
Yeah, I saw it 4 pages in a row at the store, and simply used the selective block element function on ublock origin. Had to block multiple pieces, including an invisible overlay that will block clicking on promo images if they are under it, but so far so good.
Not with Safari iOS... you can only select one at a time or delete all at once... by that I mean- select one, delete it, select another, delete it, repeat, repeat... as opposed to select, select, select, select, select, delete... It's the the typical Apple "all or nothing" philosophy.
I tried my virgin Win7 Microsoft Edge (that handily has all my Chrome bookmarks and even my autofils and saved passwords) and saw it for the first time ever today
All shiny and new?
I'm sure this pop-up is courtesy of someone who doesn't actually dabble too much in the interests of mere mortals, let alone customers or potential customers, but just a word of advice... if pop up killer apps exist, and are really popular, it's not because people friggin' love pop-ups... you don't buy roach spray to attract roaches, you buy it to kill them, because you hate them... Pop-ups are the roaches of the digital world and you dumped a bucket of them on customers and potential customers.
Its cheesy and low rent to pester customers and potential customers about something... it's like when you go to buy a car and the salesman comments on how cool your shirt is or how much he likes your dollar store sunglasses... does he really think saying that makes me think he was sitting there at his desk pining away for sunglasses or a shirt like mine before I walked in?... no, it makes him look unimaginative and disingenuous and reflects poorly on the establishment he represents.
These are basically things one should reflect on before inflicting changes that bug people like the aforementioned bucket of roaches.
pretty much, had it a few months when Microsoft treated me to a surprise Win7 update well past end of service
never used it other than the initial load
A bucket of roaches a day - keeps the dollars away.
The AdBlocker Ultimate add-on has solved the problem for me. See attached images for the steps I followed.
For Firefox, element blocker is working for me, or seems to be.
I have used UBlock Origin on my android phone version of Firefox and it seems to resolve the issue.
I'm glad some of you have found acceptable solutions, but I personally am not prepared to install 3rd-party extensions into my browser - having been burnt once already by a rogue extension. We should not need to go to such lengths to avoid being harrassed by this unnecessary popup.
This annoying junk still pops up on each Store page, even after I have logged-in.
Windows 7 Pro 64, Firefox v80.0.1
DAZ, please fix this.
The pop up shows up all the time for me now. At first it seemed to appear only when not logged in, but I now occasionally get it even when logged in. Very frustrating.
Generally on my iPhone, iOS 14.4.2, Safari
I also have this issue on Firefox and Chrome. Logging in doesn't do anything, it still shows up. UBlock Origin extension is installed and works with most any other site except DAZ.
Same for Windows 10 pro 64, Firefox 87.0 ... yes, I don't like shopping here now.
If this is on a desktop computer please try the add-on AdBlocker Ultimate in Firefox. Follow the steps I placed in the attachments of my previous post in this thread.
While I agree in principle that users should not have to install add-ons to gain functionality that should be built-into the browser, this is often how features are added to a browser by the developers or circumvent some restriction on the developers.
If Daz site is the only site messing with a popup for us, why should we change our addons for them?
I won't change what I have for something else. I just pass not as much as I did before. And it will be like that until they stop their mess. I'm maybe not a big buyer, but if a lot do the same, maybe they'll start to think it wasn't a good idea.
Anyway, being "welcomed" by a warrior, I continue to feel like threatened by them. Yes, if I wasn't yet with a profil since years, I surely wouldn't take a profil here now; I wouldn't even try Daz for free. Their popup makes more "join us or..."
I had first tried it only on my iPad; there it could be closed without any problems. On the iMac it only disappears when you log in, and on the iPhone it even covers up the ability to log in.
Does Daz want to scare away its (potential) customers, or why hasn't anything been done yet? I think it's Daz's duty to do something about this problem - not the customers'.
I think that atleast a variety of images would be helpful and that the website remembers that you have dismissed the ad when you initially visit.
I agree these problems should have been resolved by now. If they are not a priority then they should takedown the ad.
I'm also on the same Win10 pro 64 bit, Firefox 87.0 and I'm getting annoying pop-up, too. I'm NOT clearing cookies and I still get the pop-up.
I realize this is not an ideal solution but the AdBlocker Ultimate add-on has solved the problem for me. See please view my previous post (above) for the steps I followed.
Thanks for the steps .... but I really would prefer Daz to fix this.
Yes, I am still getting that annoying popup in the store, even when logged in. Not in the forums anymore, which is something, but not enough.
destroying the town to save the town.
clever folks these.
your dollar is your only vote. period.
Make it a game: "see the warrior, empty your basket"
what fun,

I would suggest they change the picture periodically. Just for variety if nothing else. Since I did the fix I mentioned, I have not seen the pop-up logged in or out.
Still having this issue, and to be honest its enough to drive me away from your site should it continue.
Can you both send me your customer service ticket number so I can look into it? This shouldn't be happening, so I think there must be something special about your browser, cookies, etc.
I submitted Ticket #374302 about 3 hours ago regarding this issue:
The aggressive and unnecessary "Join the Community" popup appears on EVERY Store page, even after I have logged in - and has been doing so for more than a month in spite of DAZ being aware of customers' dislike of it - see this forum thread:
https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/478871/website-error-join-the-community-ad-won-t-go-anyway/p1
I have cancelled my PC+ subscription in protest at this, and while this popup (or similar) persists I will severely reduce my activity at the DAZ site - meaning far fewer purchases (if any), and far fewer helpful responses in the Forum (if any).
As I said in my post on March 13 https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/6557456/#Comment_6557456:
I expect this happens because I have my browser set to automatically clear all Cookies between each session. I will not be changing this setup.
Windows 7 Pro 64, Firefox v80.0.1
DAZ, please fix this.
Thank you Jessica for your offer of assistance. I believe my support ticket is closed. I was able to block the pop-ups on my Android phone and Win 10 PC using an AD-Blocker
Well, 4 days ago the ticket I opened was "... forwarded on to the responsible team", and closed.
DAZ: This MODAL popup still appears each time in the Login page. i.e. I have to dismiss this garbage each time I want to login to the DAZ site.
Why can this "Join the Community" stuff not be handled non-Modally, e.g. as is done with the banners that offer occasional extra discounts, etc.?
In the meantime, please prevent this popup appearing in the Login page, by fixing this part of your web coding: Please change this:
to this:
