Since one of the "popular' stories is that Cleopatra used an asp to do herself in, the formally free python seems an odd choice. At least it could have been updated for iray.
What would be great right now is another Male Mega Wardrobe with updated fashion choices and lots of material zones so we can use different shaders and 'hide' parts of the clothing. Also some full functioning clothes with morphs: shirts and trousers that open/close and roll up/down. I know it will never happen, but this is really what is missing at the Daz store IMO. A full utility set of clothes that I could use shaders on to also make the clothes my own would be worth whatever price tag placed on it. I usually buy everything from DzHeng from Rendo, regardless if I want the clothing or not, just to keep the artist going. His material zones really set him apart from most other artists, and I am able to mix and match shaders on them to make some really cool items, not to mention all the morphs that come with it.
I hope you will all love this male character hair and outfit which released today - https://www.daz3d.com/trevons-70s-style-character-hair-and-outfit-for-genesis-81-male
Awesome. Thanks. I picked him up!
great suggestion. I get a lot of use out of the mega wardrobe sets.
I respect the work that went into making him, but I'm not certain I'll buy it just yet. I may be able to use the character, but the outfit has issues for me that will keep me from using it. The pants have a great waist for it's intended style, but I want them longer with bellbottoms. The shirt collar does not look realistic to me at all. It's the usual problem with men's clothing here - one layer unrealistically bent and shaped, not sitting right on the neck and shoulders.
Hahaha...you're kiddin', right? If you like 3D toons, he's right up your alley. If you like realism, keep lookin'

I did pick him up, and I like him. He does have one small issue; Matari3D didn't put eye socket textures on his face texture island, so his eye sockets load in black. Which you wouldn't think would be that noticeable, but they really are.
For some reason, he also has his eyebrow texture loading into the diffuse weight strength slot for the eye socket. The weight is zero, so it's probably not doing anything, but it can't be helping.
I'm not really seeing a dearth of male characters and clothing of late. I think Trevor, Otis, and Thomas has all been uniquely good of late although I haven't bought them as I've been reading this forum topic headlines all complaining about excruciatingly long load times for Genesis 8/Genesis 8.1 Females. As I don't have that problem for the 8/8.1 males or 8/8.1 females either one; well I don't want to aquire that problem by buying more characters to satisfy my urge to complete collections but wind up creating a big mess of load times in the process.
Personally I think the slow loading is probably happening to users that bought the DMaster Autoface Enhancer for Genesis 8 Female bundle early and and never did get word that they had to manually correct a packaging error to avoid extremely long G8F load times. I myself suffered that problem as I bought that product. When DAZ 3D releases a product like that they should release a "remove and cleanup" standalone product to install and runonce once integrated, in this case, with the offending G8F Autoface Enhancer by the PA DMaster. They should also sticky a thread in the Commons, the the DAZ Studio, and in the Technical Help forum sections telling users of the problem and how to correct it. In fact, it problem makes sence to have a moderated section of the forum dedicated just to correcting defective products and there official fixes that all users can easily find. DAZ 3D technical support for products doesn't have the breath of experience or manhours needed to get products fixed in a timely and expiditious way.
All these Egyptian products in the past couple of years makes me want ancient Israel, well I guess Judea clothing sets and such. At the time of Christ mostly.
I picked him up for $1.54 (it kicked in another discount), but I agree the shirt I doubt I will even be able to use - the collar was what made me skip over him at first glance. I've got to the point where I will buy quality male clothes (roll on mal3Imagery next release), rather than any and all male clothes just to encourage male content makers. And collars are a big problem area in allot of male clothes.
Still not a lot of male release. Hot items are a bunch of female stuff :(
Only 1 male attire release in the past month only and counting?? What is going on!?!?!?
Judging from the distinct lack of interest I get when I post a piece featuring a (clothed) male, I'd say not many people care. Which is sad. :(
Since the new bundle formula far fewer male releases have come out. I could at least count on getting a few men's outfits and hairs in the old pro bundle.
Since the new art director took over, the store has been a vast wasteland for men's ANYTHING. They went for years with almost no male stuff then they were actually making strides, then new art directer and BOOM! - worse than it ever was.

On the flip side of the lack of male clothing, majority of female clothing is ridiculously stupid, good only for soft porn and cheesecake pictures. Today's "Business Woman" outfit being prime example.
The positive outcome of both is my spending has gone down, lol.
I'd have gotten sent home or fired for wearing that to work. LOL

There's a similarly styled "Home Office" outfit that assumes women work from home in rock video car wash girls outfits. I mean...I've been working from home for 12 years and it's typically pajama pants and tees for me...you know...comfortable stuff. And on webcam days, it depends on who I'm talking to. My internal team gets to see what Star Wars tee I have on for the day, lol. A more important meeting and they get pajama pants with business stuff on top, haha.
True. A tad ironic on the heels of the Women's Day hoopla though.
These days I only get excited at the sight of a nice environment.
Pretty 3D pretty much always does halloween-style "Sexy <insert trope> outfit" stuff.
