That looks great! Where can we get it?
Definitely.
Looks good but there should be a bridle around the head with reins from the bit leading back through the loops so that the driver can 'steer' the horse from his seat.
The ancient Western Coaches have the sort of rig we could use, but it's only a portion of a single figure that includes everything, even the horses (low res, not rigged, only morph)
I have Western Coaches, but I think a carriage that attached to a DAZ Horse 2 harness would be more useful to most people.
We're looking to get it added into something that will work for all of them.
Undoubtedly, I was just pointing out the kind of rig we could use. The amount of work required to extract, shape and rig those parts would be prohibitive for all but the most adept, and it couldn't be shared. Maybe @Faveral could be coaxed back to work on something. It's been almost three years since his last product.
There is this, and it very recently got an Iray update:

And there is this for two horses:

As you can see on the attached images, only the "sticks" and in case of the bigger carriage, the harness too, can be displayed. It may open some possibilities for kitbashing. By the way, the bigger carriage loads with the pair of Daz 2 Horses in their harnesses already.
Isn't this https://www.daz3d.com/medieval-wagon the harness set @Merlin Studios mentioned? I've just realized it's in a set I've had wishlisted for ages already. Another good reason to get it finally I guess.
That would be the best solution of course, thanks Jack!
Hivewire had a Gypsy wagon which had a very decent harness, which I managed to kitbash onto a different vehicle without that much trouble. But I don't think it's made the transition to Rendo yet, and was for the Hivewire Horse in any case.
A Barouche doesn't have poles only leather straps.

Her Majesty might disagree with your statement:
You need something rigid for the carriage to push against when decelerating, or else it will bump the horses in the butt.
Googling Barouche and looking at the pictures shown then seems to indicate that this statement isn't 100% true.
Looks like there is a centre pole which goes between the two horses.
I own this and need it for renders I have been doing! It's perfect. And for those who want it, it is on sale today.
Good to know, thanks! And I saw it in the sale today already. I'm just holding back on it a bit still because Jack sounded like they'd be creating a new multiple-purpose harness thingy pretty soon. Might still get the one with cart though, the cart is also really well made it seems.
It will be based on Merlin's.. so feel free to just pick up now.. we don't have an ETA
Great, I just did!
Could you also get that PA to give us a folded down version of the soft top for the Barouche? No need to make it movable, just plain folded down and resting behind the seat. Not everyone wants to travel in sunlight with the top blocking the view to their freshly tailored clothes...![wink wink](https://www.daz3d.com/forums/plugins/ckeditor/js/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/wink_smile.png)
+1![yes yes](https://www.daz3d.com/forums/plugins/ckeditor/js/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/thumbs_up.png)
+1, that would be lovely!
Oh yes, It looks good!
Modeling a harness is not so simple, rigging it is a hell job. I did it in the past, for those who follow me at Content Paradise before I come here in 2010. By the way, the Doctor Cab has new Iray textures, yes! May be the Tilbury and the Hearse soon too. And now, I work on a little something for the DAZ Horse 2 which will be compatible with my range of carts but it is still under under UV's and not yet rigged. Here some WIP render.
That looks really good to me! Hopefully it'll be in the store soon.
It is good and encouraging that they're planning on making a harness package that can be used with a set of different carriages. Though, oddly, with me, often when I'm looking at horse drawn carraiges, I'm usually looking at them from the standpoint of "Okay, how do I remove those horse pole thingies so I can then kit-bash this carriage into a Steampunk-styled motorvehicle?" So, in my case, I was actually happy with the fact that these new ones didn't have horse-harness stuff integrated into them, which I'd have had to remove.
That said, I've not actually done any of that sort of conversion-to-motorcar kit-bashing yet. Merely thought about it. :D
Looks really good, @3djoji![yes yes](https://www.daz3d.com/forums/plugins/ckeditor/js/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/thumbs_up.png)

Snapped up the Iray for the Doctor Cab and will get the Iray Add-ons for the Tilbury Mood and Hearse when they come out![smiley smiley](https://www.daz3d.com/forums/plugins/ckeditor/js/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/regular_smile.png)
Watching this thread as well![wink wink](https://www.daz3d.com/forums/plugins/ckeditor/js/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/wink_smile.png)
If someone watches, I put regularly some Work In Progress pictures of the job. The Harness is UVed and the Surfaces are now attributed and checked in Daz Studio using the Daz Uber default shaders. The next step is the texturing with Substance Painter.
WooHoo! Great work @3djoji!!![yes yes](https://www.daz3d.com/forums/plugins/ckeditor/js/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/thumbs_up.png)
Looking forward to the results ![yes yes](https://www.daz3d.com/forums/plugins/ckeditor/js/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/thumbs_up.png)

Apropos of nothing I got the carriages when I was doing Les Miserables fanart (they also work for a Regency setting
)
