I hadn't seen it announced or noticed it update but my wagons now have presets that attach them beautifully to Daz Horse 2 (which loads automaticaly in the preset)

    Thank you!

Watching this thread as well wink

If someone watches, I put regularly some Work In Progress pictures of the job. The Harness is UVed and the Surfaces are now attributed and checked in Daz Studio using the Daz Uber default shaders. The next step is the texturing with Substance Painter.

I'm in, whenever this hits the store.

That's fantastic, thank you @JamieM ! I saw the update in DIM earlier but hadn't had the time to look for any changes yet. Will definitely do so asap. Love the carriages, by the way!

I bought this product after reading they will be updated so as to enable hitching them to the DAZ Horse 2.

  • I bought this to go with the "Horse-Drawn Carriage for Daz Horse 2" and "Medieval Cart" as exhibits in the "Development of Transport" gallery in a museum I'm creating. Due to space limititations, the Museum Director was glad the poles and harness weren't included as they would take up more display space! ;-)

And then I wonder why Daz Horse 2 is a requirement. Maybe there is poses so it can sit on it devil

Possibly to wear the saddle hmm. Or stand near the shafts.

Guys, maybe read the text, it says in the What's included that there are shafts for both vehicles as well as a 'harness saddle' ... and that's exactly why the horse is required, too angel. Please don't go ridiculing vendors who've in fact reacted really fast to the initial complaint (see above).

OK  - fair enough - but it's a bit odd not to show it in the pictures at all - not even in the clay renders that should show all components - or show a horse pulling one.

They probably were added to the product after it had been given to DAZ for sale.

As it is, both vintage carriages sets now have the harness and shafts to use them properly... which is why #2 landed in my shopping cart. #1 I already had, before the harness/shaft were added (but I got them in a patch)

Poses also work for just placement, so that could be the reason

You know, I do also think that DAZ should update both products with picture reference, so I'm right with you there. One would be quite enough. But maybe that process is more complicated on their end, I don't know. Anyway, I really hope they'll keep up making those vintage products!

I wonder will there be a similar update for the Hansom Cab too? Have the carriage but no way to hitch it to the horse.

You only have to use the slider to set the width of the cap to ~98% and it fits to the Horse 2 and the saddle stuff coming with the above carriages...

Ahh I hadn't thought about trying that, thanks. :)

  • It's nice that the horse loads automatically now but where are the bridle and reins?  It's not like DAZ doesn't have access to horse tack because they released Horse-Drawn Carriage with everything complete. And the Barouche All and Police Wagon All load without the horse textures and none of them load the mane and tail.  Yeah, I know I can fix that easily enough but hacking reins, not so much.  I'm putting in a support ticket for this.

It will be based on Merlin's.. so feel free to just pick up now.. we don't have an ETA

Could you also get that PA to give us a folded down version of the soft top for the Barouche? No need to make it movable, just plain folded down and resting behind the seat. Not everyone wants to travel in sunlight with the top blocking the view to their freshly tailored clothes... wink

    +1 yes

    +1, that would be lovely!

    Sorry for the bump.

But did the folded down soft top for this carriage ever happen?
