The mixes are so good and I'm so glad I waited because that second bundle has lots of stuff I like. Especially, that Demon King arm (and the outfit!)

My problem with these outfits is how tight they are. Real clothes do not fit like that. It's the sort of thing I expect from older stuff, but I was really hoping we had gotten past that. I have seen amazing clothes in games that use Daz characters and environments, but they aren't clothes that are sold here. Maybe it's stuff made with Marvelous Designer? I wish we could get some of that.

idk looks looks pretty accurate to me

The clothes in that image have lots of folds and wrinkles even though they are very tight. There are places where they aren't shrink-wrapped. But the clothes posted earlier look like fondant spread on a mannequin: completely smooth and unrealistic.

@certaintree38, I must apologise for that. I was in a rush to show what was under the outer layers and didn't simulate. You are seeing it as loaded as the complete outfit, then closing the eyes on the jacket and vest and their buttons, then posed. Later today I can rework that image for you, but it will be late in the morning as my early morning is busy with appointments.

Honestly, I like Kota for the human head shape. From the looks of it, it works really well with a variety of shapes. Yuzuru and other ones I've gotten before haven't really come close to matching the stylization I've seen in many of the DAZ Women™.

I bought some track pants (aka jogging pants) at WalMart in May expecting traditional  straight leg cut and fit track pants and to my surprise they were cut tight fit, even on the ankles, like women's leggings. It's not really a flattering cut on anyone. It also looks lazy like I can't be bothered to figure out my proper size of clothing.

As I suspected, today we got a warrior themed Kota bundle with items that are more to my taste. The Demon King Arm and Torikku outfit look pretty sweet! But I'm glad I pulled the trigger yesterday. Ultimately what made the bundle worth it for me was the additional free G8 bundle and todays offer isn't nearly as good.

So, using Kota 8.1 HD again and just loading the pants, shirt, and shoes, I tried another pose to see if I could get more wrinkles in the shirt. I did find sliders to 'Loosen' the shirt's left and right sides and took them to about 25 - 27% and also raised the collar. There was some poke through so I expanded the shirt overall a tad, along with the right sleeve and torso.

The buckle loaded without being wonky this time.

But look at the buttons. The are on the top side, not the bottom side of the shirt's plackets. Also seems to be indentations on the shirt, so I am not sure if when I opened it, other buttons were left behind the placket.

The shirt started out with the white texture, but no matter the HDRI, it glared, so I changed the color a bit to a light grey to see wrinkles, not that there were many. There were not any explosions and the pants and shirt simulated fast.

@certaintree38 I am not sure this will help you at all.

@memcneil70 I appreciate the effort, but it still is not my cup of tea. But hey, if the people who own it like it, then I am happy for them. Would still love to see more clothes with detailed folds in the places you would find them in the real world. There are some vendors doing these. This is a good example: https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-mi-autumn-outfit-for-genesis-8-males Fingers crossed that we get more!!

You are welcome and I understand. And mal3Imagery is making the best clothing for the guys right now. I buy everything.

I would've bought both bundles today, had the discount been better.

To be honest, I would've taken a better discount over, buying five characters that I'll never use for $1.99, or $5 or $10 off certain categories.

    I hate wishlisting bundles.

Okay, I saw a thumbnail for an HD add-on at the bottom of the page with yesterday's bundle. It wasn't listed as a part of the bundle. It went to an Oops page when I clicked on it. I don't see any such thumbnail today, and it isn't included in today's bundel either. It doesn't come up in the store search.

It's not in my product library with yesterday's bundle purchase. I'm assuming that the product exists, or there wouldn't have been a thumbnail for it. But wher3e is it?

No idea why there would be thumbnail for a separate HD add on, but I only purchased Kota (without any extra items or bundles) and his HD morphs are included with the product.

  • FF VIII.1 - Kota edition

Kota/Michael8.1 mix (65% Kota 8.1 and 35% Michael 8.1), taking the FF-style Azurite outfit for a spin here. Seems a mix of conforming and dForce elements. Textures are pretty cool.

I blew up the Sword to 150% Scale to be more "Final" and "Fantasy".

I think there was a little shadow on his forehead from where I put a point light, but it looks like an ouchie (no blood because Nintendo or whatever) so I left it alone.

Wow that is fantastic! And you are right about those textures, I think besides the hair and character they were the reason I bought the bundle yesterday.

I really wanted to like Yuzuru, but for some reason, I am not a fan. Here is a render of Kota mixed with Torment. I love Torment and I think they look great together. The viewport is much more responsive today than it was last night (even with subd and tail), so I think I might have had a memory leak issue before. Now the problem is that for some reason, the fur on his ears is not rendering. It shows in texture mode and all the parameter settings look right so I don't know what is going on. The Tepes coat also did some strange things because of his ears. Not sure how to fix it. Mesh grabber didn't want to play nice. I might have to be more selective with outfits in the future.  OH! One more thing. Can someone explain the difference between the top row of tail materials in the screenshot I included and the two rows below it? Because I can only get the top row mats to work.

Certaintree38 did you look to see if the coat had the Kota Ear morph dialed in (hidden)? This looks like what happens with hair with ear morphs.

Daventaki You were right. It wasn't located where I expected, but once I found it, dialing it out solved the issue. Thanks!

Can someone tell me how much the bundle was in the cart if you own Kiko and the first Kota bundle? CS still hasn’t resolved my previous issue so I don’t own the bundle yet (although I asked CS to take it out of my store credit, but they didn’t.) If I ever get the first issue resolved I’m hoping I can retro-actively get this deal. How much was the bundle if you own the previous one, and purchase any necessary added new releases or addons? Thanks.

I only had the Kota bundle so the second bundle was $25.32 US.

  • I currently have the bundle in my cart (With 1 add-on) at $22.79 with whatever discounts I have.

I just picked up the second bundle too, first time in awhile, if ever, that I've picked up both bundles of a release. The outfit was great, been looking for something like that, and then the hair can be used for a ton of variations, and then the arm thing was really cool. It was one of those I don't know what I can use it for, but I'd like to have it just in case. And the mech costume was pretty neat as well, toss in the pose pack that I saw stuff I could use and it was a good deal.

Thank you kindly, @algovincian! Yes, what Gordig said. There are various textures/materials included. Here is another example.
