Haha, that's a great idea. :D Although it doesn't end up to be the advertised 15% off on the total.
Silly thing is three add-ons are in the mega bundle already and others are old that most people will have, if I add the three add-ons to basket with the Mega Bundle, really buying the three add-ons twice! I get the whole package cheaper.
Put a stop to me buying as it seems redundant.
Five old items as add-ons, one of which doesn't work. (It doesn't get a discount and doesn't count towards the mega bundle discount.)
Plus, the three that I don't own are so expensive that despite the discounts, my cart total skyrockets. Better to just rebuy the add-ons in the bundle.
This has been happening with all the mega bundles (which are only available for a limited time). The add-ons offer never seems to play well with mega bundles for customers with most older items. Seems they should start giving that scenario more attention as surely the primary target for the megabundle is customers who buy a lot.
Redundant info.
Not for me 3 add ons totals 61.62 + 4.75 + 4.45 + 4.45 = 75.27
Two = 72.50 - 4.75 - 4.45 = 81.70
One Add on 72.50 - 4.45 = 76.95
Still New Does nothing to it.
Lol, they've been moving things around. I have finally checkout out. What I can tell you for sure is that I got an extra 15% off the megabundle by adding the STILL new mermaid hair to my cart. This WAS listed on the offer page but now isn't, but still works. So people may want to try other STILL new releases and play about as the cart is doing weird things.
We have spoken to Daz about this. If you cannot purchase three add-ons that you don't alread own then you may purchase the 0-2 that you don't already own and open a Sales support ticket to get the discount you would have received for purchasing a full three add-ons.
You're not. We're doing this again, apparently.
I'll add to this I think the megabundle is a reasonable price at this point w/all applicable discounts besides this one and I'll try the sales ticket this time given the reassurance above. We'll see how long it takes.
But for me the only addons not included in the bundle that I don’t own are an expensive animation bundle and I don’t use animations, an item that’s not a DO that is full price and the 3rd a pose pack I could buy I guess. So basically the addons would come to almost $60 including $32 of animations I don’t use so the deal is pointless. Another bundle I’ll have to pass on because they don’t have a bigger amount of addons. Why can’t they add a larger choice of DO’s?
i can get the mega bundle down to $68 but then I have to add the 3 add-ons which are already in the mega bundle, the total with tax is then $86. So basically I get the mega bundle for $86. not much of a discount really.
Yeah, I'd also need to get the $32 animations bundle if the goal is to demonstrate to the Daz sales ticket team that I made a good faith effort in choosing Add-Ons to trigger the discount. (I also don't own the Miracle Garden, which I don't mind getting, I suppose, even though it's at full price as an Add-On for a new bundle... which is confusing, but whatever.)
IMO, there's no Mega Bundle discount at all.
I even want to buy this Mega Bundle, but it does not add up. If they discounted the bundle and pulled out some of the texture add-ons... or they added other DO Add-Ons to the field of add-ons to trigger the bundle, then maybe it'll make better sense.
As it is now? No.
Makes no sense to me.
They need to add a wider choice of DO’s, like 30 or more so long time members can at least find something they can actually use. Or even better, the whole DO catalog of NEW items. I passed on the Bonnie mega bundle for this same reason.
I really wish marketing would follow these threads. I just commented on Twitter to see if they respond to that. Most companies respond best when you post to thei social media, but with Daz who knows.
Add-ons used to be... you know... add-ons. Not random older items thrown in.
https://www.daz3d.com/samurai-cyber-punk-armor-for-genesis-81-female-and-noska-81
The product info indicates there are 5 different materials, however there are only 4 different colors shown in promo images.
The individual Noska 8.1 character lists the female and male anatomical elements as included. Is this correct ???
I was filling my cart, than I realized that, to get a $13.01 discount I have to add additional $43 to my cart because I own the other add ons. Items like a $32 animation bundle I have no use for.
Sounds like a bad deal to me. And I´m one who owns all but 2 Generation 7 and all but 1 Generation 8 Pro Bundles.
So I clicked the clear shopping cart "button"
Just seen my mails - there are sales on some of the other stores - lets see if they want my money?
The Amazing Items Image strip clearly shows Fugazi's Rundown Mobile https://www.daz3d.com/fg-rundown-mobile as one of the eligible items, yet no discount applies when it's placed in the cart.
It doesn't say they are included, it's in the section discoussing the changes in Genesis 8.1
The add-ons are not mandatory - theya re an offer which you may or may not wish to take up (does the cpmbination of bundles and add-ons represent a good value proposition for you? If so, you may want to buy it; if not then of course you should pass, possibly buying a bundle alone if that represents good value to you). What Daz has now done is adjust the terms so that they do not exclude people who do want a combo because it represents good value for them but can't because there are not three unowned items to pick from.
It is in the "What's Included and Features" section. But I did misread and now see that it is under Materials in that section; so I guess they are including materials for the anatomical elements but not the elements themselves. My mistake; Sorry.
Way easier to just ignore such "sales" and don't puchase anything..
I'm in the same boat, as not only is that bundle the only thing in the Add-Ons section that I don't completely own, I do already own two of the three components of the Combat Bundle, so even if I bought that I'd still end up having bought two duplicate products. FWIW, though, if you have the same orange bar offer that I received, if you buy the three cheapest add-ons again (at $4.75, $4.45 and $4.45, you still end up saving an additional 6 dollars on the total package if you buy those with the mega-bundle. WTH? DAZ really makes no freaking sense at all.
What if the only item that you don't own is a bundle that you already own all but one component of? Do we also get reimbursed for the duplicate items that we have to buy that way? It really seems like the promotion is entirely stacked against us.
EDIT: Never mind.
The bundles and pricing seem ill-conceived for this new figure. There's no real correction for that.
Played around with the cart for some time and finally decided to clear it. Enough said.
After a little sleep, I sorted out the discrepancy with the discount applying to my cart. I should have been more thorough but I was tired.
The discrepancy wasn't because one of the add-on wasn't triggering the bundle discount. It was due to the fact that the older add-ons don't trigger the 50% Off Debut New Releases discount. If your cart includes the Noska 8.1 Mega Bundle and three of the older add-ons—the ones not included in the bundle itself—only the 40% discount on Debut New Releases applies.
40% Off Debut New Releases
+ 30% Off DAZ Original
+ 15% Off for three of the older Add-ons
+ 15% Off from "Save On Your Futuristic Samurai" Orange banner
Stacking discount = .6 x .7 x .85 x ..85 = .303 => 70% Off
But all the new add-ons are already included in the Mega Bundle. If there had been one new add-on not already in the Mega Bundle, this would have triggered the 50% Off Debut New Releases with 2+ and the stacking discount would have been 75% Off (= 5 x .7 x .85 x ..85 = .25). That additional 5% off might not seem like much but when the Mega Bundle base price is $230, it works out to over $11 difference.
As it stands for me, in order to trigger the extra discount on Debut New Releases, I either need to add a Debut New Release or Still-New Release on top of the Mega Bundle and three add-ons or else buy one of the new Add-ons that are part of the Mega-Bundle (which is the cheaper option).
I didn't think to ask about that, sorry. If it would be worth purchasing with a credit for the two-thirds of the bundle you already own then you could always do so, adding that you will need to return the items if the bundle can't be discounted for being partially owned, or you could try omitting the bundle entirely on the grounds that you can't buy it when you own most of it anyway, and again ask for a full return if they say that isn't acceptable.
Oh, thank heavens. I thought it was just me. There are some things I like in this bundle, much as there were some in the other bundle released this week/end. Yet this one suffers from the same issue: those of us who've been supporting DAZ for years get screwed. Pro Bundles used to be almost reflexive buys for me...lately, these new bundles aren't entirely "new," anyone who's ever bought anything at DAZ EVER winds up getting LESS of a deal than a newbie purchaser would (and given that we pay subscription fees, that really DOES suck), and coupons/deals/banners don't seem to function correctly.
I should not have to open a ticket in order to get a deal that's as decent as someone who's never tossed money at DAZ. I'm feeling more and more burned these days.
