The Millenium Horse LE used to be included in the content pack for DAZ Studio before 3.0. I don't think the content pack no longer became available after they started including the Genesis (and later iterations) and other starter content.

Well I finally got my render done... whew! So my take on the Wild West? How about a ghost story around a campfire... but is it really just a story??
A Noise in the Dark
Pete was just a young cowhand at the ranch. He had been thrilled to be invited by the trail boss to go on his first real cattle drive… at least until tonight. The noise was one he had never heard before and sent chills down his back. Shaken,he looked to Old Rick for reassurance. Old Rick had been around these parts since he was just a boy and knew everything there was to know. But Pete found no comfort from his friend as he saw even Old Rick looked pale and rattled...

Brian Irons was the only one still in my 'to be downloaded' bookmarks folder, downloaded him especially for this contest, tested him in DAZ Studio and thought that he would make a great Wild West banker or something like that, and then... then I changed my mind. Well, isn't that great?! ; )
I have been experimenting with fire textures on a single plane with iray emmission too but it didn't look half as good as yours! The rest of the whole campfire is a proper 3D file I assume?
LOL! I agree about Brian Irons! I wasn't sure how he would look in this scene, but after I put a hat on him and put rifle in his hands, he looked perfect for the job.
The campfire model was complete with textures. The flames, smoke, and embers had to be added. The flame and smoke textures came with the download but did not have any geometry to go with. I ended up using 3 intersecting planes for the main fire, a separate plane for the smoke, and used one of the small flame textures and applied it to the Blowing Leaves product for the embers.
A quick newbie question, what is the best way of transferring our post to the Entries Thread? Is there a way of transferring everything including the attachments or do you have to copy the text and reupload the attachments later (which is what I have been doing)?
Just copy/paste. You don't have to re-attach your files to your 2nd post.
The images in your 2nd post will just refer to the attachments of your 1st post, if that makes sense.

In addition, I think Once Upon A Time In The West is one of, if not the best movie of all time, I think Roland The Sharpshooter in Stephen King's The Dark Tower is fantastic and I also found Django Unchained very worthwhile to watch, so plenty of inspiration this month... ; )

"The Lone Marksman"
Starring: Demarcus
The tale:
Once upon a time in the Wild Wild West... In 1867, Demarcus was forced to serve in the 10th Cavalry Regiment of the United States Army, which had the nickname Buffalo Soldiers. Less than a year later, he saved the life of a high-ranking (white) officer kidnapped by his own corrupt people by hitting the perpetrators from an incredible distance. This officer was so grateful and amazed that he managed to hit the bandits at such a great distance that he immediately made Demarcus a free man again. Five years later, he bought his first Winchester Model 1873 and became so accurate and confident in his shooting that he soon became a sought-after bounty hunter with a great reputation...
