Yea it's a shitty to thing to do, taking someone's name and making a website in the hopes I'll buy it.
This is my actual portfolio site https://www.artstation.com/stefan_morrell
I have used daz studio for several years and buy many products from artists whose work I particularly appreciate. But for several months now, these artists who regularly published new products have not been selling anything new. I feel like the most iconic daz studio artists are simply gone. Why ? Does anyone have any answers?
I'm glad this question was asked... basically what most people don't realize is that being a PA is really demanding and that working day after day in the content mines is extremely dangerous work...
Occasionally there is a mine collapse or a PA will unearth an ancient horror left behind by the elder gods and they are squooshed or eaten by a nightmare beast.
In the early days of DAZ, a lot of PAs just disappeared and content mining would slow to a halt... people would riot and of course we all know the rest.
So very early on, DAZ started to collect the DNA from their PAs... sometimes voluntarily, other times not so much... often it was even from a drippy boulder or a pile of monster shi... well, that part's not important... but what is, is that they started cloning their PAs so if they were eaten by something or just kicked the bucket, there'd be a new one sitting in the clone tube.
Most of the PAs you know and probably love (hopefully not in a creepy manner, like you have a shrine with candles around a crude drawing of what you imagine them to look like)...( that's a little bit too much...you should buy an official DAZ portrait of them, it comes with a built in candle holder)... anyway... most of the PA are clones at this point.
Eventually, clones wear out and need to be rejiggered... that's actually a technical term for clone reconfiguration... but sometimes the new clones take several weeks or months to fully bake and in the meantime you might notice a gap in their releases... don't worry though, eventually they get right back to work cranking out the content you love and cherish (hopefully not in a creepy way)... that or they suffer a complete "blade runner" grade neurological collapse and go rogue and start killing everyone responsible for their creation... but no worries, that usually gets sorted out quickly and a new clone is put to work ASAP...
Well, I hope this helped clear up any questions.
Please realize DAZ will not officially confirm any of this since it's all top secret information and part of a bigger plan, but I hope you understand why it's necessary for the future of mankind and our alien overlords and will excuse these delays.
I suppose there's a product saturation point where PAs get bereft of inspiration. There's just so many bedrooms and bathrooms, cute characters and skimpware before one runs out of ideas how to recycle what has been done a thousand time before.
I do some of my own modelling, and when I need inspiration for furniture pieces, I'll open up the Rooms-to-Go ad. PAs who create rooms have no shortage of inspiration as all those furnitures stores spam our mailboxes with weekly flyers, and often the pieces are different every time. :)
There was a kind of protest against NFT a few months back and quite a few people deleted their galleries and kicked up a stink, But I doubt those who make a living out of being a PA could afford to stop producing in a similar protest.

Gee I have an idea how about some ladies' fantasy outfits without heels? I bet they would sell. Love the new Jinx Jones Character and the new Black Seas outfit is awesome all the way down to the heels. I believe I even saw one promo where she was standing on a sandy beach in this outfit in some of the spikiest heels I have ever seen. Physics man, physics, where are the renders of these ladies pulling their heels up out of the mud and sand and being defeated by their enemies because a heel is stuck in the ground or something like that? I know this is an age-old discussion around here but heels are great in some places but in others, they are like a fish out of water.
Faveral did move and seems to be doing well, but he hasn't said when he'll return to 3D. I assume he will at some point because he did say he wanted to, but I guess considering where he lives now, he just wants to enjoy life. :)
What, you mean making digital products is not enjoying life????????
When you do it day after day and most of the time 7 days a week, 12-16 hrs a day it tends to get old and not enjoyable at times.

The topic has been beat to death and PAs are more aware of what sells than the users, so I wouldn't place that bet https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/484646/why-so-many-high-heels/p1
