    I pulled the trigger and got it. I just saw The Little Mermaid with my girlfriend the other day and its still in my head. Bad influence.

    Uhm, but what use would a human figure be without any maps? And why would there be promo pics included of the human form with - quite a broad variation of - texture maps?

    Edit2: Just tested her, there is one complete mermaid form and one complete human, both with textures. So I do think this is about the generic texture maps for the tail only, that will enable it to be fitted properly to other G8Fs.

    The maps would be those for the base. The HD usually just adds the new morph, and a preset for loading the figue with the HD morph on. The HD isn't a new figure.

    Sadly I have about as much use for mermaids as I have for Centaurs, I might occasionally use one in a storyline but as a throw away character.  I'm going to have to give this one a pass, it looks well done I just don't have any use for it.  That 22% off giftcard though, that I bit on particularly since there was no buy in requirement this time.

    I love, that's a bit strong, really like then, the Coral 8.1 character and the pink & purple way they did up her render ad. I'm not a big fan of fancy goldfish or siamese fighting fish (aka betas) style mermaid tails though. I like the scallop and pearl bra mermaid clothing. I like Amipiscus and Dragon. I like Lu hair and had been wondering where I could find such a style. Well there it is. Also the Athena hair.

    Actually I like and would actually use the whole bundle but ugh! $93 is too rich for me currently.

    While I can't think initially of a need for a mermaid, I'd like to say to Daz that, while I don't buy many female characters, at least not this late in the line's development (I still consider 8.1 to be version 8 basically), I DO appreciate the most recent females with smaller breasts. Not only do they look better in clothing, but they also are easier to fit male clothing to. So, thanks for that ;). I never saw the need for females with initially big chests since you can make them that way with a dial turn, and it's much easier to make them larger and look good than to make them smaller and not have them look deflated and with weird creases. I hope the trend continues.

    Yep, me too. Was really hoping just for a nice basic mertail for 8.1 male to come out that has a nice fade from tail to skin (sigh). Anyway, still holding out. Not really keen on the side fins, but I am sure their was a promo image without them somewhere.

    Coral's skin does not seem to be up to the level of specular three-dimensionality established by the other 8.1 females. It looks flat and dry, like Aubrey's and Robyn's. I like her morph though.

    Coral 8.1 seems to be particularly dependent on the artistic arrangement. On some pictures she looks like a lifeless plastic doll with eyes too far apart and no chin, on others her face is quite interesting and attractive. The bundles contain many very nice things that can be used in a variety of ways.

    The Mega Bundle, partly because I'm a sucker for merfolk, but also for the deals. This is what I'm seeing for discounts:

    - 10% "Zale bundle owners" banner for owning any Zale bundle
    - 10% "Save on Today's Bundles!" banner (possibly for having two previous 8.1 characters - Zale and Jacqueline)
    - 20% bannerless discount (from the Zale Mega + add-ons offer)

    The bundle is $60.32 in cart for me. Total ended up (a lot) more after taking advantage of the extra discounts being offered.

    "80% OFF up to 5 Select Daz Original Items"
    "EXTRA 70% OFF up to 5 Select Items"

    The buy-in is steep, but if you wanted the Mega bundle anyway, these offers can really add some value. Extra = stacking, and combined with the FA sales, results in great prices for some of the big-ticket items from Arki, Stonemason, Zeddicuss, etc.

    The DO discount stacks with the PC+ discount, and the selection of items is extensive (but doesn't include G3 or G8 Pro Bundles for some reason).

    In general, I'd prefer a smaller buy-in with a choice of free items/bundles, but when you have some store credit to burn, this type of sale is pretty amazing.

    A question about the coupon with the mega bundle.  How do you receive it?  I bought the bundle, along with the other discounted items, but there is no coupon yet.  Does it arrive on Aug 9, or is it one of those banner discounts?  Or should I have received something already?

    I haven't received the coupon yet either. Only Daz knows for sure, but I'd guess that it will be delivered via banner on Aug 9.

    This was a no brainer. Got 22% off a gift card and $60 bucks worth of ???? Could be scary ... or on August 9th which is my birthday, the Daz Original offers could be good or trash, or a new release. If the $60 is offered as usable for decent products, not only will it be a good day, but I will have gotten the bundle for free. It's a risk. In Daz I trust lol (at least this week).

    i dont understand why not, but she has like zero sex appeal.  i usually love a good fantasy figure.  i cant help comparing her to callie 6.  her bikini not speaking fantasy to me.

    Some really good pose sets came out for her today. You can mix and combine characters and the tails are really good and the promo images on her main page and the mega bundle are gorgeous

    I was wrong :D They have a tail setup on Coral so that you can use her base tail mats with any character!! 

    I was out of town and hadn't had a chance to look at the final files and I totally missed it!

    In the Anatomy folder there is a Coral 8.1 Tail and in there, there's an option that says "Coral 8.1 Tail Any PBRSkin".

    This is specifically for the Coral tail materials, but there you go. Also, it says PBRSkin, but I tested it with Aife and it worked with her too (and she's Iray Uber). 

    So if you like the pretty Coral tail materials, you can use it with your favorite Iray skin.

    IIRC that was about HD add-on, not the base figure. And since Zale also includes a "Tail Any PBRSkin" option, it makes sense that Coral has one, too.

    I like the tail shape and it looks like it has a lot of movement capability ... but not a fan of the fins looking so solid. I guess creating some trans maps wouldn't be too hard. But also not a fan that it's not usable on both male and female and seeming only one female. It's a wait-and-see for me.

    Picked up the Coral and Zale mega bundles last night, even though I really couldn't afford to, because the deal was just too good to pass up:

    I ended up liking Coral's tail more than I was expecting. Maybe I still had Zale's fish tail in my brain, and I'm not very into that one.
