Totte, I was actually trying to do a record sleeve kind of image so I'm glad to hear you say that. I actually thought I had not been successful and was not sure so I was thinking to drop the idea on the next image
I picked up some new software during the sales so I've been learning tutorials instead of rendering my pull. But I have been enjoying everyone's renders. Keep it up. I hope to work a couple pulls.

The Moon is a Harsh Mistress is my favorite of Heinlein's. I love Roger Zelazny's Amber books, have read them many times. I have been reading (and listening to audiobooks) a lot of Philip K Dick books for the last few years. I love them; they are so weird and funny sometimes. I will have to give David Brin a try. A real scientist? Interesting.
I haven t read any of Dick s books. but loved blade runner the movie.
But my kid brother asks for them for his birthday and christmas so i should check them out.
my first brin book was star tide rising. a space ship full of dolphins being chased across space by aliens.

Zelazny's one of my all-time favorite authors; the Amber series especially, but all of his other works as well. Haven't actually read any Heinlein; keep meaning to pick some up. PKD is a trip; real mind-bending stuff, and sometimes I think the narratives get a little lost, but what a writer for ideas. There's a reason why Hollywood keeps adapting his work. I've read one or two things by David Brin, not much, but he's pretty good. He wrote the novel The Postman, and it's mostly a more solid work than the movie would lead you to believe (mostly. I do have some issues with it.)

@Morgan R Lewis I went to a couple of brin s talks down at cal state san diego. He would always start out apologizing for postman the movie... it wasn t his fault! I liked Earth, his book predicting the internet, although some faulted him on the ending.
