...AUUUUUGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!! Smartphones...I hate 'em and what they keep doing to my favourite websites.

Just clicked onto ESPN to check some score updates and what came up on the screen can best be described by Freddie Colman's (of ESPN Radio) favuroute phrase "YUCK AND POO!"

The format has been totally changed, in favour of smartphone users over those of us who still rely a conventional notebook or desktop. Used to be able to see all the headlines major stories and day's/evening's streaming scores at a glance. Now it's scroll, scroll, scroll, ad nausea to to see what is happening or find anything. For a moment I thought I was redirected to their TWIT-er site as the right sidebar had nothing but tweet after tweet..

Worst part, it had all the Boston teams listed as my favourites. I don't even live there not much less follow any of that city's teams.

Wrong! Wrong! Wrong! Ugly! Ugly! Ugly!

OK, that's my complaint for the evening.

Sort of like the DAZ store, right? I have a dumb phone and a smart phone. I use them to talk to people and recordings.

Lunch! Popcorn chicken, fried Okra, and diet Coke! Upper 70Fs outside, was a nice trip to the grab-and-go for food.

Still thinking about track art.. argh.. I'm fairly certain I'm going to put a PDF "leaflet" in my "CD box" for interested people to read. It's simple enough and I think I can export PDF from OpenOffice. Might sell a whole 1 extra copy because of it (lol)!

AND I need to write a bio again. Boring, boring, who cares about me? Just enjoy the music.. :red:

...45° and ugh here. Off and on rain. Had to shut down for a while as there was lightning in the area. looks like March here is going out like the proverbial lion. Lows will be dropping into the upper 30s for the next several mornings. Dry and may reach 60° on Saturday, then back to more wet stuff pretty much all next week. Got too spoiled with how nice it was most of the month.

Trouble is, too late in to get any snow in the mountains anymore so this will not help the summer drought situation at all.

Blech, well, that's not so nice weather. :blank: And drought conditions suck, had that in Silicon Valley *and* Austin. :-S

Now they want us to cut our water consumption by 25% because of the drought. Hmmm, I use water for drinking/cooking, washing dishes, washing clothes, and washing me. Which one should I discontinue? Austin is going to become the Stinky Capital of the World instead of the Music Capital.

Drink 3 glasses of water instead of 4

Reuse breakfast dishes for lunch with a quick rinse and wipe.

    don't wear pants

stop washing at the knees. I can't get that low anyway. %-P

It wouldn't be Disney if they didn't do the Disney thing to their characters  Dumbo has been on TV here just the past few weeks, is doubtful they could make the raising the tent sequence now without raising a lot of eyebrows as well, but is still possibly the most teh awesome animated drawing in cinema

...the cool thing is they actually pulled the "idealised" version from their sites and went back the toe Pixar one.

True most of the animated classics would be prohibitively expensive to remake today in the same format and quality. Wouldn't be right to remake them in 3D CGI.

On a slightly different note, Disney has re-released the original Star Wars trilogy (Episodes 4, 5, 6) in its original format without all the extra CGI that was added in the "special editions".

...wish I could pay the Senior fare. Minimum age used to be 58 years ago, then 60, 61, and now 65. By the time I get close to qualifying, they will probably raise it to 70. A regular monthly pass here is 100$.

Hooray for Disney! :cheese: All the extra CG didn't, in my opinion, do anything to improve it. :shut:

Oh no you didn't (she says in her best pantomime voice). ZDG had already done that, but we hadn't got round to finishing off the procedure, so you posted to the old thread, not the new one. :coolsmirk:

...so how was it not at the top of the next page above mine since it was posted 30 min earlier than mine?

...unless the thread was split earlier.

That's what I said, we were in the process of doing it when you posted. I came back to close the first thread and had to move your post into the new thread before I closed it. It does happen like that sometimes I am afraid, because we have to have the first thread still live while we are doing the split.

Believe you me, there have been times when in a fast moving thread, like the complaint thread can be on occasion, that I have had to move posts several times before eventually getting the old thread closed at the right place. I have got into the habit of having it up on 2 tabs now, so I can close it quickly to prevent that happening. I just didn't expect it to happen with that thread. :red:

...not a big deal admittedly, just felt kind of cool to have it happen at the time after rolling this one.

This is why I will never make it in web management, just don't understand all the nuts & bolts, just what I see.
