I mean speech to text. Other than one word it does it very well. That was because I mispronounced it. This is so cool. I'm tired my battery is low

Morning. Big city windswept and mute under a pale grey sky this Easter Friday morning and shivering in summery sunday best against the unexpected chill :)

Lunch! Popcorn chicken, fried Okra, and diet Coke! Upper 70Fs outside, was a nice trip to the grab-and-go for food.

Still thinking about track art.. argh.. I'm fairly certain I'm going to put a PDF "leaflet" in my "CD box" for interested people to read. It's simple enough and I think I can export PDF from OpenOffice. Might sell a whole 1 extra copy because of it (lol)!

AND I need to write a bio again. Boring, boring, who cares about me? Just enjoy the music.. :red:

...45° and ugh here. Off and on rain. Had to shut down for a while as there was lightning in the area. looks like March here is going out like the proverbial lion. Lows will be dropping into the upper 30s for the next several mornings. Dry and may reach 60° on Saturday, then back to more wet stuff pretty much all next week. Got too spoiled with how nice it was most of the month.

Trouble is, too late in to get any snow in the mountains anymore so this will not help the summer drought situation at all.

Blech, well, that's not so nice weather. :blank: And drought conditions suck, had that in Silicon Valley *and* Austin. :-S

Now they want us to cut our water consumption by 25% because of the drought. Hmmm, I use water for drinking/cooking, washing dishes, washing clothes, and washing me. Which one should I discontinue? Austin is going to become the Stinky Capital of the World instead of the Music Capital.

Yeah, it was getting pretty bad when I was there.. even worse now. :long: Wish I could send Austin some of our rain..

One quarter less is huge. Water is recycled just about everywhere here, and hugely expensive if it isn't. We got some good rain a couple of years ago so the dams are still pretty much 80% full but you can tell it won't last everything is getting real dry and burnt looking even after a not so hot summer :)

It wouldn't be Disney if they didn't do the Disney thing to their characters  Dumbo has been on TV here just the past few weeks, is doubtful they could make the raising the tent sequence now without raising a lot of eyebrows as well, but is still possibly the most teh awesome animated drawing in cinema

...the cool thing is they actually pulled the "idealised" version from their sites and went back the toe Pixar one.

True most of the animated classics would be prohibitively expensive to remake today in the same format and quality. Wouldn't be right to remake them in 3D CGI.

On a slightly different note, Disney has re-released the original Star Wars trilogy (Episodes 4, 5, 6) in its original format without all the extra CGI that was added in the "special editions".

They are remaking a lot of the old titles with live action/CGI

...OK, a flying elephant in live action. This I gotta see. Hope they have a good cleanup crew.

Funny that article also missed the fact Disney already released this live action remake of one of their animated classics in 1996 (along with a pointless sequel)...

Friend of mine ranted about that a while ago. Said they're planning on making Kaa the Python a female (As if he wasn't ridiculed enough in the original adaptation of the book...) and making the Grand Duke from Cinderella the 'evil mastermind' of the film instead of a goofy but utterly loyal individual.

    Three cheers for Disney >_>
That's why I wasn't laughing at DeviantART's joke about merging Star Wars and Star Trek. Because they're perfectly capable of doing dumb things like that, it was more like a prediction than a joke.

...AUUUUUGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!! Smartphones...I hate 'em and what they keep doing to my favourite websites.

Just clicked onto ESPN to check some score updates and what came up on the screen can best be described by Freddie Colman's (of ESPN Radio) favuroute phrase "YUCK AND POO!"

The format has been totally changed, in favour of smartphone users over those of us who still rely a conventional notebook or desktop. Used to be able to see all the headlines major stories and day's/evening's streaming scores at a glance. Now it's scroll, scroll, scroll, ad nausea to to see what is happening or find anything. For a moment I thought I was redirected to their TWIT-er site as the right sidebar had nothing but tweet after tweet..

Worst part, it had all the Boston teams listed as my favourites. I don't even live there not much less follow any of that city's teams.

Wrong! Wrong! Wrong! Ugly! Ugly! Ugly!

OK, that's my complaint for the evening.

Sort of like the DAZ store, right? I have a dumb phone and a smart phone. I use them to talk to people and recordings.

iz complicated to make a phone call these days.

Well, Internet access at the Sleazo Motel I'm at has been down for 3 days. :shut: The management says they can't get a technician out to look at it but I'm fairly sure they just didn't pay their ISP. *angry face"*

I'm planning on moving out in 2 weeks, but I need Web access so I'm biting the bullet and switching my cell plan to one with a gig and a half of data per month. My phone can be set to act as a wireless hotspot, so after I get it set up I won't have to depend on someone else for Web access - anywhere I get a phone signal, I can get online. 90% of my Web use is email and chat, both very low-data activities.Anything large to download I'll just get at work and use the SD card on my phone to bring home(32GB SD card).

Cold, dark, cloudy today.. 54F and yesterday it was 83F! :bug: Kind of icky as I get to make a bank run in this weather.. brr.. left my insulated shirt at home, just heavy shirt+t-shirt under.. brrr!

Should be warmer tomorrow, though! :)

I remember reading somewhere that my old digital camera has issues with Compact Flash cards larger than 4 GB. I think the camera uses old software that is limited to accessing 4 GB. I still have my 256 MB CF card that I bought in the mid 2000s (8 years ago I think?)

Sounds like Acid Reflux (or GIRD...Gastro-Intestinal Reflux Disorder). If it happens again, see a doctor about it. The acid could damage your throat if it happens repeatedly. Had you eaten too much before it happened? You're kind of young for that to be happening, but various things can contribute to it.

Been a bit busy the last couple of days. Didn't get any new message emails at all in the past two days, just for this thread. I got emails for other threads, so I thought it just quieted down in here for some reason. Today I had the time to hunt and check and sure enough there were five pages to catch up on! >:-( Why does this thread keep dropping me? It makes me feel unwanted.

Well, it's done - I now have a data plan on this phone, so regardless of whether or not the lo-teks at the hotel have figured out what's going on, I can turn my phone into a wireless hot-spot and rock on completely! :vampire:

Bank run finished, and checked out the area around where I want to move to.. 1 elementary school, 2 churches, 2 restaurants, nice mostly residential neighborhood.. yep, looks like a win! Just nothing fancy nearby, the nearest pub is a mile down the road BUT it's on the second bus route that's next to the place. Next up is making sure the rooms have some kind of fridge and microwave...
