Does the DAZ game license only apply to the models/textures themselves?
Can you render out images and use those in 2D applications without it?

The Dragon Hatchling, Mantiraptor, and Millennium/SubDragon I recognized in Avernum 6 and Avadon (SubDragon only for a portrait - the Millennium Dragon represented the character's actual sprite). The models and textures themselves weren't present of course, since it was a 2D engine and not a 3D one.

I suppose what I'm asking is if I can pose say the Biguana or T.rex and render it out with a transparent background then use the rendered images to make a spritesheet for whatever (Like a character for RPGMaker, which only accepts 2D images)
Not the models themselves, just 2D PNG/JPG/etc images

I received an interesting Easter text message at 8 am.

"Hey I am the one with the dishwasher."

I didn't recognize the phone number.
I was left with something of a dilemma. A text message begs to be answered. But what should my answer be?

    So what?
Great! I'm so happy for you!

The message seems a bit confrontational - so maybe:

Hey I could have a dishwasher too if I wanted one.

Or maybe they were identifying themselves as the person with a dishwasher and not the one who was sadly sans dishwasher. As I said, it's something of a dilemma.
In the end, I decided not responding was best. No use stirring up trouble on Easter.

No, no, no. The plural is martians, not martinis. And of course the martians are shaking! It's cold up there and there's nothing but rocks.

That's the advantage of credit cards. You can spend future money and pass the debt on to your kids ( or at least your executor) to deal with. The trick is dying at the right time. %-P

Misread executor as executioner. Let's hope it doesn't come to that. :)

bunnies not as big as cats

Depends on the bunny - some of the wild rabbits I've seen around here must weight as much as a cat, though they are lower to the ground due to short legs (until they want to run). Certainly a baby bunny is just the right size to be carried like a kitten, if not for the same purpose (or, actually, a bit larger - our last cat used to stand there with the baby rabbit clutched in her jaws by the scruff of its neck as it kicked its paws against the ground, causing her head to bob up and down).

"Sorry, wrong number"? However, it sounds more like a spammer fishing for a live account.

I don't do texting. But when I get a phone call that I don't recognize, I normally just don't answer. sometimes I do and it's a wrong number. Now and then I get a call from someone wanting me to pick them up at a certain place. My phone number must be similar to a taxi company. That has persisted for several years. One time the person actually called again. Probably hit redial, thinking it would somehow be correct the second time. :smirk: But lately there have been a lot of robo-calls and other annoying unwanted calls. So I've taken to not answering when it's not familiar.

A couple of times now the Caller ID said that I was calling me, it had my name and number. And a couple other times it said nobody was calling...the number was 000-000-0000. :-S

Ask, "Well, why didn't you say so earlier?" or "So, you're the one who broke aunt Tillie's antique gravy bowl."

But the best thing is to do nothing. If it were a life and death matter you'd reply "wrong number" otherwise treat it like a bogus voice mail.

...ahh but this weekend's one is a flat 50% off. No gimmicks, no punches, no having to buy this to get that, no minimum purchase requirement..

If I had the money I received yesterday my bank account, I'd be able to clear a good portion of my wishlist. Depositing through an ATM won't work as it won't clear until Tuesday (2 day processing lag) anyway. Not worth a 36$ overdraft charge.

My guess is they're not optimized in terms of geometry count very well, perhaps?
Or they're 'okay' but have a toooooooon of them. Maybe even multiple LOD versions of the same objects, but lumps them all into the same installer so there's bigger installer/zips to go around

Is why I gave up trying to re-rig DIgi-I's T.rex and Biguana, too many polygons make smooth weighting more a hassle than an ease. -__-
Polygons for everyone! It's especially bad when there's a ton of polygons in things you'll never really see or have a heavily subdivided cornea (Which doesn't tend to be rendered too well in most cases anyway - very scene and lighting dependent). While on that topic, I hated trying to use the Megalodon product because only my best computer (The crash-prone desktop) could load this model on its own without causing the entire viewport to slow to a crawl. It had that many polygons - most of them in places where a mere fraction of them would have been much better.

    Polygons for everyone indeed. x(

Back in my Carrara 5 days, I could never get TransPoser to work for me, so I would either save out an obj file of a posed and/or dressed figure, or I would rig it in Carrara and weight paint it. This is how I animated Digital I's T-Rex for my video. All animated and rendered in Carrara 5. Composited and edited in Final Cut Pro.

    ...pretty good.
