A Victorian Copper! What a great idea.

But surely if our Victoria was a copper she'd wear a skimpy bra and a miniskirt made out of string.

Nah, the bra would be two helmets tied on with string. The "skirt" would be little more than a strategically placed police badge . . .

Obviously helmet styles varied from force to force and over time, but they're all pretty recognisable as an "English Bobby helmet".
I remember as a kid we used to play a game, "Knock the helmet off the policeman." Oh how they did chase us! I don't think we'd play it nowadays though.

Yes and if you did that your Dad would give you what for! My brothers got caught for doing that!! They didn't do it again though.

And I bet they had already had a whack from the Rolled up waterproof cape the Bobby had tucked in his belt. :coolsmirk:

Oh my. And Homes and Watson to follow?

That will be a slice of awesome. I'm still making do with autofitted 'Wanted Dead or Alive' whenever I need a Victorian gent. It takes autofit pretty well, but M4 is not Genesis. And I don't think there's been a Norfolk suit since PoserWorld's one for M3. And they were *so* widely worn in the period.

But pretty much whatever you come up with will be fabulous.

Any chance for Mycroft and Prof. Moriarity? Maybe do some double duty with the outfits? And a Victorian era doctor's bag for Watson (and maybe Jack the RIpper as well)?

Anyone know if there is a head shape similar to Jeremy Brett? This is a great theme!!! A lot of instant buys! :)

If you plan to make more with this theme then how about a 'sack coat' suit like this. It could be a Victorian gentleman or even the police Chief Inspector

I don't enjoy modeling stuff like that but always a challenge

I am not sure what exactly material was used if that was brass, cooper or iron , iron was too expensive in this time so it may be other metal , I saw brass oil lantern mostly so have to redone the materials however I saw some in museum painted red for police

bellow test with the final sculpt and PBR paint over metal

...OK I'll just hand my bankcard over, after which you'll have to pass it on to Stefan as well.

Glad to see you are going to include the lantern (saw it first on the Iray Render thread).

So is this going to also include a Policeman's Whistle?

The Whistle is in the uniform (the chain visible as well ) lol the chain gravity problem is here as I am not sure how to rig it to make it works .... too complicated already and time is short for me .
I can do the whistle no problem but without chain make no sense to do that

the lantern was important for the evening duty and I learned some hard edge modeling that I hate so much , no passion for that

so what you think, Red, Black , tarnish copper or tarnish brass for the Lantern ?
