Actually, the serial showing is still for 4.6. Is it going to work when I do the fresh install of 4.8 (I didn't do the Beta)?

Any DS 4.x Pro serial number works - the very old versions of DS 4, before Pro was free, won't accept the newer serials (SDZFPRO) but that has been the only change.

I'm guessing that the next change in serials will be when 5 hits the servers...

Same issue too with downloading 8.0 Pro. But I have another strange one that I found a folder in my shader presets files named Iray. In it are what looks like shaders, but I cant get any of them to change anything except to turn it gray, or something other than the thing it tells me it is. What are these shaders for if I can't use them the normal way? Or am I doing something wrong (as usual)? They have only just appeared after trying to download the latest version of Daz.

They are shaders that ONLY work with IRay.

You need to render to see the effect of the shader in the same way as you do when using 3Deloght shaders, the Viewport uses OpenGl and cannot display them properly.

Thanks for that JimmyC. Guess that's why they didn't render too good. Best be getting IRay in my runtime next payday. Those shaders look pretty cool in the thumbs.
    Cheers

Since Iray is free, it shouldn't make a huge dent in the budget.

Just change your render engine to Iray in your render settings for 4.8.

Thanks TBoT. Just found 4.8 in my product library and did a manual download and install. Everything opened up just as I left it and the IRay is rendering fine. Good job Daz!. Now where's 'Billy's Bike'... Been looking to customize that ride for ea long while with some cool shaders. Well, that and a whole lotta other vehicle props.
    Later.
