I don't know why, but I keep hearing Boris Karloff haunting mummy voice ...LOL
I'll post an image on Egypt Dress page later and I think one hair maybe useful for your currant 1920s project also, and the other style could be past for 60'ish.
Ah before I forget... What is the best way to package, save and upload SBH to freebies section. as I've never ever done it before?
Kind regards Bx
Perlk,
I would love to, but from my experience in the General Freebie Request section our lovely Mod/Richard deleted my previous 3 images of items I requested. Is there any chance I can sent you an email with images as attachments? If not. we just have to time when I upload images for you to view before quick draw Richard deletes them....lol
Let me know whats good for you.
Bx
Images should be deleted only if they break the ToS - usually too close to nude, or if they belong to someone else. You've got too many posts to skim through trying to recall what I may have pulled.
Hi Richard,
I'm blushing now .... Original images were three 1940s - 1950s A-line Swing Coats and Coat Dress designs with no nudity invovled , but I did highlight the dress pattern envelopes.
Whats the best way to pass on info without breaking Daz ToS?
Regards
Barbz
Thank you all... I go off to work for a day and look at all the feedback!!!! I feel so blessed to be a part of this community and grateful for all of the amazing freebies people have contributed to the Daz world, I don't mind sharing with all of you. Hey, it's about time since I've been riding on other peoples' freebies since 2004! LOL.
@shadowbox24 - I will PM you my email!
Ah, we would have had copyright concerns on pattern images - which is a problem, of course, but perhaps you could find a site showing them that you could link to (in which case the copyright issues, if real, would be their issue). Of coruse you may find grounds for thinking that copyright isn't an issue here anyway.
I suppose it would depend on if those companies who make the patterns are still in business, right? Anyway, better safe than sorry!
Hi Richard,
Can I just be CLEAR ..... I DID NOT show any original patterns etchings, I only showed the final illustrations as advertised on the cover of the sewing pattern envelopes. I just double check my original request from August 2021 and the four images I attached as examples are still there.
Let me know what I need to do, as i don't want to break any ToS or Laws.
Regards
Barbz
All, I have updated the first page of this post with the final green Lison dress at https://www.deviantart.com/perlk/art/Free-Erte-inspired-dforce-dress-2-for-G8F-918159070
I will be working on either Paulette's sage and teal suit or Odette's grey and red coat/dress combo next. But not today, I'm done for the day :-)
The original artwork for the cover is still, quite possibly, under copyright - for older patterns it would depend on which entity owned the rights (it would quite likely have been work-for-hire owned by the publisher, but might not have been) and whether it had ended. Adding, after a quick search, https://www.liquisearch.com/work_for_hire/copyright_duration
Perlk, I hope you're not putting any pressure on yourself! It only makes sense to do these as long as it's fun for you and when you have time.
It's very inspiring to hang around this part of the forum and see everyone being so creative. AOBB's face morphs and your dresses make me feel like I'm at a pastries buffet where I get to be a taste-tester... um, or something like that!
I downloaded the dress - it's very lovely and elegant and a total mystery as to how you got it to drape the way it does! I did have some issue with the dress texture not showing up properly, but I could have been doing something wrong. I just reshaded it with something similar.
I went with an NPR render again, since I had been toying with this idea since the previous dress. I created a more stylized character/shape preset to resemble those hand drawn models a little and gave it a bit of a vintage feel in post.

Oh, I love that! Beautiful.
Did you get an error with the dress texture? It is possible I maybe forgot a texture, I've done that before.
I have released it with a new version of the belt, I think this time the textures may work, too, re-download please and give it a try! https://www.deviantart.com/perlk/art/Free-Erte-inspired-dforce-dress-2-for-G8F-918159070
Thanks perlk! This was very fun and inspiring to work on. These dresses made me think about art deco style fairy tale illustrations with a fashion twist!
I did not get an error - the dress just came out charcoal black and the texture file didn't match. I'm not sure what might have been the issue there. It could have just been on my side or something weird I accidentally did. Not sure. I'll download the new version now and try it out soon! Thanks!
Sure, let me know if you encounter anything weird again. I usually do textures in Photoshop and don't normally do patterns within the Surfaces tab, so it is also possible that I did something wrong :-) Still learning! Always learning.
Beautiful dress, beautiful rendering by SapphireBlue! Kudos!
Cheers,
AOBB

I have to tell you all, there is only one more coming for now and it is Claudette's strapless pink and black little number. I have loved this project and I may do more in the future, but I'm going to go to a new decade and work on some 1940's and 1950's clothes!
You are very welcome!!!
Perlk,
I love the ones you've done, they are great. Wish I could show them in a render but, the d-force calcs kill my machine. I've limited the number of cores usage and doing only the exact frame rather than starting at a base position still sends the cpu core temps up to 88C, way over over it's normal shut down level. Maybe come winter. I will try again then. Anyway, can't wait to give them a real try (they look so nice in the base pose). And thanks very much for doing them.
Wow! So very lovely and detailed. Amazing work perlk! Thank you for sharing these. I'll have to find some time this week to try it out. Your lady looks like she's ready to go on a journey - in an open motorcar, first class in a steam train, off to a 5-star hotel with lots of matched luggage... Very fun idea to move on to another decade. Your work and AOBB's work are so inspiring!
Looks absolutely amazing, perlk. Haven't got a chance to download it and try it out yet but just judging by the render - incredible work! Congratulations!
Thanks guys. <3
Coming soon, my last Erte inspired dress, Claudette's strapless dress - I created 20's style shoes and necklace, too.
Amazing, perlk. You rock!
Thanks guys!

Here's a render I did (almost everything free) with @AOBB 's Alluring morph. Skin is VYK Eden. Hair is my free bob haircut. Pose is DigiDotz. Floor is from textures.com on a Daz primitive cube.
Oh how cute! Wow, and shoes and necklace too. Beautiful work perlk!
