    That particular "channel" ... at least you do for making comments in the chat box. Absolutely not certain about what or how one goes about getting that something for watching the video but don't want to find out afterwards that oh yeah, had to be subscribed ... 'k. If I'm absolutely wrong, I'm sorry. But it costs nothing to subscribe and one can undo that later on if they so desire.

    Note the time in the right bottom corner of the screenshot that is I highlighted and the arrow from the announced start time points to. 12 hours from when I took the screen shot would be 12:12, not 13:00.

    Yeah, something is really screwy here as like I mentioned 16:00 MDT would be 15:00 PDT. If it is supposed to start at 13:00 local time as mentioned under the video window, that would put me in Nuku Hiva of the Marquesas Islands in the South Pacific which is 2 hours behind West Coast time.   

    ...not that I wouldn't mind living in that region of the world.

     

    Kinda confirming my suspicions that DAZ is actually run by AIdevil

    Do I read the times correctly? Does it really mean the announcement is planned for midnight on a workday for the Central European Summer Time zone?

    If so, I find this very, very disheartening.

    Yes it has ... because people keep asking about not having combed through all the previous posts and/or having missed the emails ... BUT they want to know what the great announcement is all about too :-)

    Is it enough if I'm logged into Daz, and is there a way to watch the video from the Daz site? That would probably be the easiest way to get the freebie. The background of my question:

    I have a g-mail account, but I haven't used it in centuries and I forgot the password. I just wanted to have a new one sent to me (as always in such cases, you click on 'forgot password') - but Google just wants to know what my old password was... Ah yes... laugh

    mine said attend not subscribe and I checked the attending reminder notification option on the video

    I linked the web version of the email earlier

    I had been subscribed to DAZ's YouTube channel since it's very beginning but unsubscribed once every upload was about NFTs

    In the announcement of the new version of the DIM it says that 1.4 0 will work with Daz Studio 5

    Why should receiving that free item require anything fancy like logging in or subscribing? Nothing like that has been mentioned.
    I simply expect a link posted in the live chat to a freeby which will only be active during the live session or something like that.

    I am pretty sure now it is Genesis 9, and the free item is the Genesis 9 Starter Essentials (or something similar).

    If I am wrong and there is a freebie where you have to (kind of) proof of attending.... Daz has the tradition of coupon codes. So just posting a coupon code in the YT channel should be sufficient to claim the freebie. Just my thoughts, though. I might as well be completely wrong.

    That would really suck - the Starter Essentials have always been free with the Studio download.

    All we are promised is a "sneak peek", not an actual release of anything.  G9 Starter Essentials would make no sense if there's no G9 release.

    The fact that this has been unwittingly timed for when many Daz customers are either working (Me) or asleep doesn't make me even mildly curious - much less eager - to learn what the Next Big Daz Thing is. Nor does the feebie, since Daz freebies over the past year or so are mostly things I can't use due to my system, or are 10+ years old, of which I have plenty.

    I will pop back onto the forums after work, where there should be more than enough posts to cover everything about it

    If I don't find it engaging and it's talking about NFTs or Metacrap I will forgo waiting for a link whatever

    Just six more hours until this starts. It might be just another "much ado about nothing"... or something really worth the hype. But as it's streaming at 9pm UK time zone... curiosity killed the cat, right? wink

    How do you get 9 PM? I'm one timezone further to the right, and 16.00 DAZ time should be midnight for me, 11 PM for you unless I'm wrong. (and if it really is 22.00 my time, I might even be willing to watch it)

    The shift in time note, may just be two hours of a repeat film of the theater they used for the tutorials or something like that. So people can join and see a live session, prior to the real start.

    I really hope it is starting at 16:00 MST because I will be back at home and can watch it. All the tutorials that were from 14:00 to 16:00 on Saturdays, had me having to leave the house and miss three-fourths of it.

    I just want it over so I know the worse and can make purchase decisions now.

    I went to the youtube page, and it tells me that the live stream starts in 6 hours from now, 22.00 my time zone., 21 UK time zone.
