The YouBoob page is telling me that it goes live in 6 hours. That would make it 3PM for me and I'm EDT. The email said 16:00 MDT (which would be 6pm my time). Someone screwed the pooch on this one. So what is it really? Can a mod please check on this maybe?

Ok.. if it really is (as a few have aluded to) DAZ 5 AND Genesis 9, my jaw will drop!

And for the record, I will commit to a self imposed 24 hour ban about saying anything negative about Daz!

Just six more hours until this starts. It might be just another "much ado about nothing"... or something really worth the hype. But as it's streaming at 9pm UK time zone... curiosity killed the cat, right? wink

How do you get 9 PM? I'm one timezone further to the right, and 16.00 DAZ time should be midnight for me, 11 PM for you unless I'm wrong. (and if it really is 22.00 my time, I might even be willing to watch it)

I went to the youtube page, and it tells me that the live stream starts in 6 hours from now, 22.00 my time zone., 21 UK time zone.

And seems there's a bit of confusion as Youtube says one thing and the email another.

I think I'll see what the fuss was about when I wake up tomorrow morning - much the safer option...

  • We have sent in a query on the timing and on qualifying for the freebie. With a side-dish of imprecations.

  • A lot of times, these events have a 'waiting period'.  The stream may open at 2PM MDT, but the actual event doesn't start till 4PM MDT.  This gives people 2 hours to 'wander in' and get situated.  I'm EDT, and mine says that it starts at 4PM my time.

It was the same with the nVidia annoucement yesterday.  Stream opened up 2 hours before the actual stream began.

Ooh, there's nothing to beat a nice dish of freshly-picked imprecations. Delicious!

It was third-hand, but it may be there will be a limited time link to get it - however, I am not certain that that was correct. So present and conscious, but it wouldn't have to be using your Daz account.

If it is a link or a coupon code that's shown, no problem, but needing to be signed in is when one doesn't have a google account for multitude of reasons.

I might not be able to watch it easily now either since Malwarebytes has decided to block Google on my bedroom PC

can of course on ipad or on my main PC but this sticks a big spanner in my Youtube viewing on my 50" TV

am trying unsuccessfully to import my browser settings to Opera on it

    Edge it is also blocked

well obviously can watch Youtube itself but not signed in with Google so cannot get freebie devil

    unless I disable Malwarebytes

    not doing that

The fact that this has been unwittingly timed for when many Daz customers are either working (Me) or asleep doesn't make me even mildly curious - much less eager - to learn what the Next Big Daz Thing is. Nor does the feebie, since Daz freebies over the past year or so are mostly things I can't use due to my system, or are 10+ years old, of which I have plenty.

I will pop back onto the forums after work, where there should be more than enough posts to cover everything about it

DAZ has never seemed to understand that people have to work for a living, sleep, live on the other side of the world, etc.  And this is depite the fact that they themselves can't be bothered to have a team standing by live as the store changes every evening to catch the at this point inevitable glitches.

My (unrealistic) wish would be for DS5 with a built utility to make clothing like Marvelous Designer.

I've got the same problem - either MalwareBytes has an issue or someone has walked all over parts of Google. I'm trying to figure out which.

Yes, all things Google blocked by MalwareBytes. Reddit says MalwareBytes has a team looking into it.

Mine at work just did that too...  I disabled it so I could check my personal mail, and noticed gmail was down.  Also got complaints from users about not getting emails from gmail users (I guess I do IT for gmail now).  Looks like google got flagged by some anti-spam/anti-malware.

MalwareBytes Twitter says they have issued an update to fix the Google problem. I haven't tried it yet.

Edit: Yes, Google is accessible again after installing the MalwareBytes update.

  • Aaack!  Genesis was an evolution ... what if they give up the Genesis lineup for a new lineup and completely break the system as they start DS5?

Maybe they can just jump to DS9 - the federation / dominion war was somewhat interesting.  *** eyes shift rapidly back and forth ***
