Vicky 9's debut outfit is a leather fetish gear? Fascinating

Very interesing choice for debut outfits for Genesis 9 figures.
Did they do market research and realize this is what the majority of early buyers want or did they reach out to Adeilsonjc and say, hit us up with a new outfit for Vicky 9? Or just pick this from submissions from many PAs because it's so well crafted (it looks very well crafted in the promos)?
Defnitely not what I was expecting, but I'm amused. It does suggest what kind of images will pop up in DeviantArt feed first.

Moved to the Commons as it is not a Daz Studio tipic.
Yeah, I was NOT happy. However, I can say that it looks very well made, so no shade to the PA who made it. It's just not something I'd EVER buy.
Well that explains the addition of the mature filter.
How many Faces/Polygons does it have?
If you use different shaders it could easily be made into a sci-fi outfit. Anything that seems kinky can easily be transformed by adding other shaders. Look at how the Summertime Swim outfits looks very different with floral materials. The Diva Desire outfit could look more normal with material shaders and if you hide the straps on the boots and change the texture to maybe a soft suede you could use it with a fall sweater dress or something. My favorite thing is changing outfits to look different with different shaders!
I'm concerned because this particular PA had a few products with, shall we say, questionable geometry. I.e. - looking good in promo renders but you better not turn wireframe display on.
Me to. It's one of the reasons I'm hesitant to buy the bundle. Would really love a wireframe screenshot.
If the face groups and/or surface areas don't need much work, then yeah. Then I can see a nice denim dress with dark brass zippers. That I would like. But if they are done improper or with "nasty" shortcuts, then it is more likely to be de-installed and never touched again. But before I can decide that, ...
All I can say is I hope Michael 8 has a corresponding leather outfit.![wink wink](https://www.daz3d.com/forums/plugins/ckeditor/js/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/wink_smile.png)
I'll toss one up........If I'm given the chance to install it. Bought it a few weeks ago apparently. Might be a few more till I can use it...
Have you tried using it, with a male figure dialed in?
So you didn't notice the 10 in 1, the mango outfit, or the bikini but focused on the leather fetish outfit? Seems like your more interested than you make out...; )
No, sadly, I don't have my order of V9 yet
As it turns out, insanely many!
Faces:
That is just insane... Even the ring has more than all of G8 figure, twice as much... But insane geometry together with insane one color metallicity maps has been a growing trend unfortunately...
Ha. The bikini was a given, but the other two are kind of limited in terms of the renders you can make from the package itself. Workout and leather dom. For the very first collection of G9 stuff, this was, well, interesting. Hard not to read anything in this first package as a statement of some sorts.
The statement was that they assume everyone has at least 64 Gb of RAM and 24 Gb of VRAM, considering the poly count of the outfit.
Thank you for checking. Sadly like I anticipated.
And on top of that 63 8k textures![cheeky cheeky](https://www.daz3d.com/forums/plugins/ckeditor/js/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/tongue_smile.png)
They're not limited if you're looking to do everyday renders. What's included allows for a range of outfits to be created. They also included autofit clones for 2,3 and 8.
Having seen many different releases since v4 (v3 was my first vicki) I don't find it says much at all.
I see. ;)
But now that I finally could get a glimpse of the dress, the surface groups are not usable for shader presets. You need to have maps for literally everything. Sometimes I wish I would have invested in Substance Painter or better, M.D.
Yeah, this is (unfortunately) what I was expecting. I'll see if I can salvage any of this by decimating. But my hopes aren't high.
Bummer. The boots looked interesting.
Daz knows its market.
The whole outfit looks nice. It just doesn't play nice.
The cap flashing SS is also kind of unfortunate.
If you're happy with it, I'm happy for you, but range of outfits? I suppose it's better than if they decided to go with Victorian street urchin outfit, pajamas and bikini (because the bikini is a non-negotiable).
Mind you, I'm not complaining. I just hope they reach out to Tom of Finland for Michael 9's debut outfit.
We can only dream.
I'm just realistic. The stuff I tend to use is fairy outfits and fantasy. Those won't come out for a while. I remember one figure came out with a single dress years back. At the moment I'm busy playing with autofit and seeing how it works with clothing from genesis 2. I must admit I'm pleased the included 3 previous figures with autofit this time.
I looked at the Intro bundle, and don't think it's worth the $111. I'll eventually get Victoria 9 and various morph packages when they're available.
Not to mention those 8k textures, yes, that includes for the jewelry.
I actually like the dress, it appears very adaptable for something sci-fi. But, the polycount and the texture sizes are a big detriment to its use. On top of that, I'm not planning to invest into G9 anyway. There's just too little backward compatibility. I'll keep an eye out here for new props, vehicles and environments, since those are easy to use with figures of any generation. I do hope some interesting G8 and maybe even G3 assets are still scheduled for release, maybe in combination products like we used to have on previous generation changes, where we saw products released that worked for both G2 and G3, or both G3 and G8.
Side Spikes Hair seems to be the only such product today, working for G3 (Hurray!) through G9. Had Diva's Desire been G8 & G9, then I might've still considered wishlisting it, despite its drawbacks.
