    I do have to agree with those that said that Ivar does look very feminine.  I think the problematic areas are the brows, eyes, nose.  I went ahead and made adjustments to those area to be more masculine.

    Buying the last few mega bundles on release day has been the expensive way to go.  Still feeling the burn on those, so I'll wait and see.  It's nice but not $80+ nice.

    well in my original comment i alluded to a possible anthropometric femininity, i.e., that there were other facial factors that are registering the face as feminine, and they are not readily masked by some superficial masculine traits like facial hair and body muscularity that you reference. 

    im too dumb anatomy-wise to pinpoint why the character registered as feminine to me (I also suggested may just be eyelashes). Will continue to assess...

    It's in the eyes, eyelashes, and upper cheek bones but I can't pin point it either exactly. Mostly eyelashes if I were to be pressed. On Ivar, it's very slight, I don't notice it are all on most of the renders posted here but on the recent prior G9 male Saint Nikolaus, I felt it was much more pronouced. 

    Also, don't discount that any renders of a shiny male face with eyebrows that are too thin and too high will tend to trend feminine.

    I just wish there were some long viking hairs that weren't the reverse mullet. Vikings liked their long hair.

    In my experience, not all men are scowling and aggressive looking low brow types. That's a stereotype, just like the boxer poses Daz showed his men in for a long time. I think that has subsided, for which I am grateful. Ivar is as distinctively masculine out of the box for me as the fierce guy mal3Imagery portrayed so brilliantly here.

     Gonna cherry-pick this time because not a single bundle is attractive as a whole. Ivar figure is ok. DForce Viking by Fefecoolyellow too. The rest of the so-called "Viking" stuff is so removed from anything even remotely Viking I wouldn't touch it with a ten-foot pole. I never was a fan of this Netflix fantasy show it's all copied from.

    The set really reminds me of the film, "13th Warrior."

    "The 13th Warrior" (or the book it was based on, "Eaters of the Dead") was inspired by the memoirs of Ibn Fadlan, which is mentioned in the article that @memcneil70 links to. (Oh, and by "Beowulf" as well). Ibn Fadlan seems to have had mixed feelings about the Rus he encountered: he was horrified by their personal hygiene and some of their other habits, but considered them physically "perfect". 

    The more recent film, "The Northman", is perhaps a bit more historically-grounded. I got a little tired of Amleth's antics by the end, but the makers seem to have made some effort to make it at least a little historically plausible, and the scenes of life in Kievan Rus and Iceland are interesting.

    Well, after having been in the hospital for 5 days with COVID and nearly croaking, it's nice to get back and see a new man. I like him. I LOVE the skin on your version MelissaGT (as usual). As a person of Caucasian persuasion, I can say that I rarely see the red "ruddy" look in my American light-skinned counterparts, but instead more of a yellowish tone. I wish the persons that set up the skins for the DO's would look at a few pictures..lol.

    You should be able to tweak the sss colors a bit to get a different undertone too.

     Gotta say those tattoos are kinda cringe. As usual, they look more like stickers. And putting them right over the belly button hole...that's another oops. I don't think I've ever seen someone with a tattoo going right into their belly button. Most in that area would be designed around it.

    I'm glad too! Drink lots of fresh water. I got the Fauci flu back in January 2020 before it had been announced. Bedridden for 5 days straight, and I felt like dying too, but I've been promised more decades to play.

    I believe the second discount was for already owning the free stuff you get for buying the mega bundle. It probably saw that you purchased them and sent you a banner for it afterward. DAZ is that way.

    Yes, I think several people have said they bought the one item they didn't own to get the discount banner as it worked out cheaper for them overall.

    There have been mutliple discounts involved (two banners, if i am right). Looked like high quality and not-yet-there content, so at near 80% off i just went for it. Wouldn't mind having a converter for clothing from 9->8, and smart prop helper 8<->9, though.

    I am glad you escaped them, that must of been a serious case. Get well. Thus far I have avoided it and am very thankful. So far my worst covid-19 problem has been those shots (3 of them) put big blood blisters on the roof of my mouth and the side and underside of my tonger, left side in all cases oddly. I've heard that has something to do with spike proteins and the blood-brain barrier, if I can believe US government health research websites.

    I have seen both the red ruddy, never that DAZ ruddy unless sunburn or outdoors in the snowy cold, and the yellow ruddy tones but there is more sun in America than in Europe. I went to a tanning bed almost every weekend for a year in high school to develop my yellow tone as before I was too pasty, or so I was often told. laugh

    Part of it is photos tend to be redder than reality and those skin materials are probably all based on such photos.
