I think my buying streak comes to an end tonight after four weeks. Have used up both of my Daz+ coupons, the $2.99 advent calendar option wasn't something I wanted or needed (free option was useful, though), and even the pretty neat-looking Frozen Lake Cabin has me thinking "yes, but will I ever use that? Like, ever?" Probably not.
Having the extra 35% has been fun and profitable for both myself and for Daz(!) but I suppose all good things must come to an end.
Watch, December 31st will bring the "Every single item on your wishlist is on sale!" sale and I'll be there with no 35% off.
It looks beautiful! Not only that, but the fast render time is encouraging. I'm going to give it a try.

Blando Calrissian, I'm with you now. I've spent a little more than I wanted to spend, and got a lot more than I expected to get on this pass. I'm also out of coupons. I know what you mean about 12/31, but nothing to do for that. Since my punches are all charged up and I only really started with that a few days ago, I'll probably keep them charged. But it depends what's on offer.
I could do with a really good Gift Card sale tomorrow or 1st (with no buy-in) to start off the new year, I have burned through most of the last one clearing my wish-list :-)

About today though, there has been a bad surprise. I planned for Marion for Victoria 8 to be my present for today, thinking her SKU (47603) and base price ($ 19.95) would fit into the present coding and I like her Marilyn Monroe-ish look. Alas, it seems I was wrong. Seems the item is too old... Instead of her, I got offered a Ninian Outfit (SKU 70247, Base Price $ 20.95), for which I see little use for me and for $ 2.99 I was offered the Cross High-Waist Swimsuit for G9 (SKU 87434, Base Price $ 21.99), which comes without dForce and for G9 which makes it also quite useless for me.
Adding to that, the Holiday Freebie (supposed to change every four hours - we'll see about that) is the Tres Classy Outfit Texture Add-On, for an outfit I don't own and won't buy or need (because G9).
Guess I have to find a more suitable potential present option for tomorrow... Too bad, I really wanted Marion and expected to get her...
A freebie being a texture add on is about right for Daz, i.e being useless, guess it's there to try and tempt you into buying an outfit you wouldn't normally get or something
I'm not sure i'll bother getting this one, as have no interest in the actual outfit.
It's the second one in the last few days! THe first was Versus for the Flashback suit. That was on the 27th.
And now the 31st is back on the calander. Yay !

I got my Advent freebie today. It's treasure! Literally. https://www.daz3d.com/ancient-treasure is a collection of treasure props. Kinda cool, actually. The dragon's hoard has arrived! Perfect for showing off the idea of ostentatious wealth.
I could have got double tokens if I waited to do my main shopping today. Of course, if I did that, Daz might have changed the arrangement of items and I'd be less happy with the outcome. And I might have missed out on my treasure.
Seems like Daz has settled into a groove where some promo items stick around for a while.

My freebies today are both textures for things I don't have yet (but they are on my wishlist, no complaints here, just a bad luck draw of both being textures), but all in all, I can't complain about my calendar selection. I got a few Martin J Frost's plants (which I always hesitate to get because "I have so many plants alteady), and my highlights were Oso Elder for G9 for $2.99, TMA Brady for G9 also for $2.99, and Baxter as a free gift. All in all, throughout the month, I think only 2 items weren't on my wishlist, and it's on me that I also wishlist textures for the things I don't have yet.
All in all, this month was ok. I managed to keep my punches most of the month by buying things I actually wanted: some of them were Holidaz Deals, some my advent calendar items, some Daz+ new releases, and some came from Lightning Deals of all the places, so I don't feel like I was forced to keep my punches by buying things I didn't care for, but aside that, I didn't really buy much. Since the offers had to take into account not only punches but also tokens (which are extremely easy to get for those who are Premier members), I didn't find them enticing enough, and I'm only Daz+ member, so no quick tokens for me. On the bright side, I did manage to put a cart together for my $6 off $18 coupon, and a couple of days ago, I picked a DO item that would be around $6 in the cart, so I also used my DO coupon.

I agree about the wishlist - High hit percentage, though the selections themselves made me wonder about my wishlisting habits. Glad you got some good stuff.

No one knows, though it would seem likely - the calendar aspect is certainly set to run out tomorrow, starting a new thing in the new year would seem likely - but Daz only knows.
Okay, so I was delightfully wrong about using all my mojo up on the Joan starter bundle.
The Ivar Viking Mega Bundle (the one bundle I've really really wanted) hit my LDs for around $17, and with three tokens plus throwing the BETTY handbags in, it dropped to about $10.
I'd been waffling on the handbags because they don't have any rigging to move the handles or morphs to open them, but they dropped the price of the bundle more than the price of the handbags, so it seemed like a good deal. Rounded it out with a couple other items from the "add a new or still new and get 80% off" selections to bring the total up to $20 and get me 4 tokens to use on any super sales that might be coming up. And if not... still a screaming deal even if it had been just the bundle. There were three things in it I already had (and haven't even used yet, grr) but it's still a good price for what all's left.

My shopping ended a few days ago, and I only have 2 dollars left in points before I use the Punch Card today.
Why didn’t I buy that 30% off gift card and wait until today? I want to learn to shop smarter.
Today's discount is really, really good. If I only buy once this year, it would be now. I hope I can buy more joyfully next year. rather than tired.
Today's Holidaz Deals dForce TN Little Black Dress for Genesis 9, 8, and 8.1 is not discounting to $2.99. It is showing a 30% discount instead ($13.99).

I have now completed my last shopping of the year and last Punch Card(Even if I don't shop tomorrow), an old man at LD discount.
After counting the 31 gifts received throughout the entire calendar month, the total value exceeds US$580, which is still worth US$58 even at 90% off price.
The gifts on the calendar are all from my wish list, so grateful for that, thanks to the generous artists and DAZ.
I wish everyone can make better works in the New Year with abundant harvests.

As seen in the screenshots, today's promotional mail stated that with a purchase over $150 the order would get a 20% discount. However, in the actual sale page the amount to spend for the discount to be applied rises to $200. Please, try to make the figures clear before sending these emails. It's not nice for the customers.
One might wonder, if something done for the (few) whales leads to more sales than if a sale would have been targeted to the mass of non-whalish customers... In the end, I wouldn't probably wouldn't bother with it either way, having probably no $ 200.- here over the whole year here
OTOH the calender came up with two non-wishlisted items as "presents" again for me. The free one is Pirate Accessories (SKU 69723, Base Price $ 15.95) and the "present to pay for" would be Gorgo Suhlo (SKU 84324, Base Price)
- neither sits on my wishlist. And I even added a product yesterday that might/should have matched the criteria with Lara HD (SKU 78472, Base Price $ 19.95), but we're not here to get our wishes fulfilled, right? 
I think the general consensus on getting wishlisted items in the calendar was to add more than one item
Personally, throughout the whole month (so 62 items) I only had 2 or 3 items that weren't on my wishlist. But then, I have over 2700 items on my wishlist, so there's a huge chance at least some of them will be qualifying items.
It seems Daz really doesn't want to offer a gift card sale at this time. I spent what I was comfortable spending. Some other time!
