The pace has picked up nicely for me since these great Cecelia bundles. I enjoyed getting them, the price was really good, and they topped up my tokens so that I'm rolling along whistling now ;-) Hope that the good things will kep coming (but not too many of them, or else I'll go broke).

$6 coupon and a doorbuster (that I'll prob never use) gets me 82% off 5 environments that have been on my WL for some time

sadly the Australian dollar is so abysmal now, even 80% is not enough and several things in my Wishlist have been even as a base member

I grab a cheap lightning deal now and then, most of those 92% off but getting ones I want a huge luck of the draw

I feel your pain. The Canadian dollar has tanked since January versus USD and it will be that way for the next 18 months atleast.

Euro wasn't great last time I looked either. I'm spending my last bigger GC right now; after that, we'll see.

You get a gold star for purchasing anything over $1 by any payment method - I always use Store Credit as my payment method (except when I'm actually buying a GC) and have had a Gold Star every day since the start of the sale.

How do you know you have a gold star? I have made a couple of purchases during the start of this sale and have never seen any indication of a gold star anyhwhere.

Hey DAZ, have I been a bad grade schooler and didn't recieve a gold star for my days work?

Add a new release in your cart: if its discount here is over 50%, you have a gold star active. If it's 30%, you don't have one and buying something today will get you one active tomorrow.

Lightning deals seem to have the gold star already applied in the pricing and buying one each day has in fact kept my gold star status (tested with other things in cart)

    I bought a Genesis 9 Mousso character today for 2.28USD 89% off

So there is actually nothing that tells you, guess that's why I didn't see anything. One day I got good prices and bought several items. ;-]

Thanks for the replies Elor & Wendy

I love it when that happens! LDs have provided me with quite a few Mousso characters.

... so today we can get three door prizes?

I feel like I should do a Green Eggs and Ham parody (except for the bit at the end where he changes his mind).

I'm confused what are the door prizes, I saw it as the headline on the main page, but nothing really looks special unique scrolling through the lists

It looks to be the same list we've had from the start, we can just get up to 3 today instead of 1.

It seemed like a good sale in the first few days, but today I'm a bit disappointed. Yesterday I bought an item (Mad-door) and postponed the purchase of other items until today to take advantage of the discount, convinced that the discounts on PA items would rotate, while those on DO would not. I made a mistake in my evaluation and the "DAZ original" items that I intended to buy and that yesterday had a discount of around 70%, today went back to their normal price, becoming out of my budget, even with the accumulated discount (10%). I will have to wait for the discounts to return to buy them. I would like to suggest that DAZ keep the discounts from last weekend, at least on DO, for the entire duration of the sale.

And it looks to be the same stuff as last week. I couldn't find 1 thing in here I wanted for $2 then & now I'm expected to find 3? I think not. Guess I will hold off on using my DO coupon until later in the month, unless I have a good LD.

Speaking of which, I've been seeing LD repeats, or near-repeats, since Oh-Nevermind-ness started. Anybody else seeing this? By near-repeats, I mean things like Mrs. Chow, Mrs. Chow Pro, & Mrs. Chow Starter all offered within 24 hours. (After seeing today's sales page, maybe I should have bought one.)

PS: please do the parody! Please.

I've been hopping the store would sell more Filatoon content. I love it. Especially content usable by adult male charcters.

    I don't need mature content.

Also, wouldn't mind more idealized proportions. We've done  lot with genesis 9 real world proportions, but would like some characters more in the idealized super hero size range. Yes I know I can make my own?

As a Mac user I would be very happy to be able to finally use Filatoon content at all :-(

P.S. Yeah, and the extra 10% banner is of course on the one day I won't shop for having bought enough during the weekend.

I'm sorry, not interested. Any "sale" that requires a person to have purchased within the last two days, doesn't interest me. Last year I spent a small fortune, only to be presented with coal in the Christmas December sale, so my purchases have been no where near what that have been in the past and I doubt if they will ever be more than a couple of dollars here or there going forward. I beleive sales should reward ongoing customers not just spend a dollar and get great discounts when someone spends thousands over a year and gets nothing.

I'm thinking DAZ needs to come up with some new sales formats. We're all getting tired of the games. Obviously all is a bit too general, but you can hear it in the posts.

I am seriously put off by the fact it's virtually impossible to find if any of my wishlisted items are in the MAD Door Prize sale. I am not going to use a plugin (not permitted on the only PC I have access to at the moment), and the search facility is impossible to limit to a the MAD Door Prize sale. So, I don't even buy the cheapest items in the sale. And there seem to be all of 2 items on my wishlist subject to any discount today.

Overwhelmed by apathy. I am happy to be sold to. Make it difficult and I don't buy. I am not interested in fighting through silly stuff, silly sales rules, or an unhelpful shop to find out what should be easy. And is easy on other stores. Look at hardware stores, look at online supermarkets - they have easy to use shops. Hardware shops, they have vendor, type & price filters, as well as categories. It means you can find what you want. Wow. Instead of hoping to stumble across something.

Oh yes. A search. I tried Screwfix for some hardware over the weekend. I knew roughly what I wanted, but had no idea what the category was. Took less than 3 minutes to find the category and 26 items that would do the job. Using the search facility on the DAZ site I can't even find all the products with 'Dragon' in the title letalone in the product description, needing to go to Google to find some extra that never appear in any search in DAZ.

Categories. Why are categories not available as sales filters? If I want a building, why can't there be an 'Architecture' filter or a Landscape filter, or a clothing filter or a vegetation filter or a 'complete scene' filter or an  'interior' filter? or a 'On my wishlist' filter. Oh come on. Try getting into the late 20th century before we get so niggled we don't bother to return.

    Regards,

    Richard

MAD Door Prizes are all Daz Originals released before the end of 2017. The most recent is Rylee by Mousso, Product ID 49515, so if you don't own it, as a way to get an idea of what DOs in your timeline may be eligible, you can add Rylee to your wishlist, if would give you a threshold in it. Then, add Rylee to your cart, type the coupon and go back to your wishlist and by adding DOs old enough to your cart and loading the cart page, you'll see if they are Mad door prizes.

It'll only work today, because you can have 3 items for a reduced prices with the coupon.

Cubersome, I know, but I don't see any other solution if you want to take advantage of the sale.

I don't get why they are not active either, especially because the Category filters will be visible for a second or two will that page is loading, before being removed.

Friday to Sunday were catch-up days for items released earlier, today is a more normal day with artists in the new/still new sections being featured.

I've added some things to my WL from the featured PA stores because I'm hoping sometime during MM there'll be another WL sale. I've been able to find a few items that surprised me with good discounts.

     Can't quote this enough.

It seems so bizarre to me, when you have a massive lists of items, no way am I going to scroll endlessly through them to find if anything from my wishlist is included.

Why does Daz seem to desire to be against selling to it's customers.

As annoying as it can be, it's definitely intended.  It helps ensure we buy more than we might plan and gives additional exposure to products we probably wouldn't even be looking at.  I've actually found some interesting things just from just going through the list, so it isn't all bad.  When it's say, 34,000 items, then it gets excessive.

There's a certain kind of satisfaction I get when I see an item I had no idea it existed priced for $10, add to my cart to see it drop down to $5 and have every intention to use it the same day.

Yeah I see that, and presumably it must work, however for me personally it's the opposite to the bold. If I see this I immediately close the page. For example I made 5 purchases last month totaling $12.50, all but 1 came from a Lighting Deal/Wishlist mashup.

Well, I get the opposite of satisfaction from trawling through stuff that I don't want. The longer I spend looking, the less likely I am to buy anything, and the price I'm prepared to pay drops in direct proportion to the time spent. It drops pretty much to zero at about the 4 minute point, along with all interest in continuing with a futile exercise. Regards, Richard

in the case of Door Prize, I look at the first page. If its the same as the day before, I just stop andf say goodbye to it. If something changes, I will browse max 5 pages. I'm not about to scroll more than that. That's my method in all sales. I love to see a category with only 1  page. Makes life easy.  This sale, the new releases to get any kind of sale pretty much haven't been interesting to me at all.
