No, updates should still show up as that.
That's strange then. I only purchased one item today and had 15 items to download. No idea where they came from and now that they are loaded no idea where they are either lol. Oh well If I come across them I will double check it against my more recent purchases.
I had 5 or 6 show up yesterday - looks to be the vast bulk of my RDNA purchases. :-)
Are you sure they are updates and not moved over from RDNA stuff? Those are "new" and not updates.
Also, if an item was formerly Poser only and gets a DS version in a separate zip the DS version will appear as new and the Poser (possibly) as an update. New is a zip you haven't downloaded before, but it may be part of an update or an item newly added to DIM that you had downloaded from RDNA or even that formerly had only a manual download at DAZ.
Okay that at least makes sense. Could very well have been RDNA stuff or Poser items as I have quite a bit of both
No, I'm finding that too. Suddenly everything that I ever manually downloaded has shown up on the list, instead of the stuff I just purchased. Pages of it. I've given up and I download everything manually now. PITA
If you only ever downloaded manually how do you expect DIM to know that?
So what does the update that I just had to do today do?
Install Manager has itself not been updated beyond 1.1.0.64; May 18, 2016 - see the first post for details. If you are being notified of an update and you are already using 1.1.0.64 then the notification is the result of something on the server side (perhaps related to the recent connection problems).
Okay thanks. I just went ahead and let it do its thing since it wouldn't let me know download anything until it did.
Is something going on? I cannot seem to be able to access my account via Install Manager and Daz Studio Application. I can via internet browser only. I wonder why???
DIM and DAZ Studio uses a different server, which may be down at the moment.
Things should be fixed now. I just logged into DIM a few minutes ago to check it.
Is Photoshop CC a prerequisite for using this, or am i missing something in the install that i'm getting this error message?
Install Manager cannot find a required path. The package for "Photoshop 3D Bridge for DAZ Studio 4.9+ (Win 64-bit)" requires that the installed path for "Photoshop CC, CS6, CS5, CS4 (64-bit)" be defined. Make sure that a path for this application is present on the "Applications" page of the "Settings" dialog, then try again.
The Photoshop 3D Bridge is one of the free plugins for Daz Studio, which allows you to send content back and forth between Daz Studio and Photoshop. If you don't have Photoshop you don't need to install it. You can still use Daz Studio without that plugin.
Totally forgot about that bridge, going to have to try it out now that i have the full version of Photoshop.
Can't login through DIM or Daz studio 4.9.2.
Hello! Is anybody else having this problem with the DIM?
I just made a purchase in the store of four items for DAZ Studio, all older items, but the DIM can be used to download them. I launch the DIM and try to login and I get an error saying that the DIM cannot login, and that either my email or my password is incorrect. I know it is correct though as I have it remembered by the DIM. But I deleted the password and looked at the email and re-entered my password several times. I hit the login button and try to login, and the same message pops up every time. I have been able to login with the same email and password for almost three years now with no problems to speak of, so it cannot be me or the info I login with. I has to be something that is not right with the DIM!
Please let me know if any of you are having the same problem. I'd like to know if something has caused a bug in the login feature of the DIM.
Same. Must be server side.
Hmmm! Maybe they are getting overwhelmed by customer activity? IDK!
I don't know if that's the cause, but we have reported the issues.
I'm having issues connecting to my account with Daz Install manager. The items that I purchased are not available for the in program download, and I keep receiving an error code regarding "Unable to login to the specified account. Verify the email and/or password and try again." I have uninstalled Install Manager and re-installed the program and I'm still getting this error. I am logged into my account also with the same username and password so I'm not sure what's going on...Please help
It is not just you, there are issues with the server, which have been reported.
The first thing I do when I get that error is check my internet connection. If that's not it, I check here next lol.
Okay, I know I've asked this before, but I'm going to ask again because I'm not sure I remember it being answered in a way I understood.
I have a LOT of content (upwards of 12,000 downloads.) I use the DIM wherever I can (for all non-encrypted content) but it takes at least 2-3 minutes to open the DIM. That's longer than it takes to boot my entire PC. I know that it's checking manifests, etc., and this takes a while. I have a solid-state boot disk, but space is at a premium there, so I have the DIM download to a standard HDD. Is there any way to utilize my SSD to speed DIM startup without using too much space on it? If so, can someone provide instructions in small words that I can understand? Lol.
My DIM is installed on the SSD boot\applications drive, and the downloads on a normal SATA drive. After booting the system up, DIM does take a bit to get going. However, subsequent DIM starts should be quicker until you restart the system.
it says i cant install photoshop 3d bridge because there was no path found. wtf does that even mean?
First do you have Photoshop?. If you answered yes proceed to step 2. Step 2; In DIM click on the 'cog' icon to enter preferences, click the Applications tab, click the + at the bottom, in the box that comes up change DAZ Studio to Photoshop and set the version and whether 32 or 64 bit, in the path section navigate to the folder that Photoshop is installed, hit Accept to close the box then Accept again to close preferences
