Mermaid, I initially tried sending a TGA format of the shark mat (first PM), but was able to turn it in a JPG and a PNG (links in second PM).

    Cheers

Mermaid...will PM you the shark mat (given the chance as it is stored on another computer that I have to connect to - physical, desktop connections etc.,).

    Rasberri: very well done!

What I always do is to save the comment. Then right click the image, open it in another tab. Copy the address from that tab.

Go back into your comment: click on the little wheels top right (says: "options" when you hover over them) and choose 'edit' (which is the only option, as far as I have ever seen).

Go to the place in your comment where you want to put the large picture, click on the 'image' icon (next to the flag) and paste the copied address in the field for URL.

Then put the width at 800 (otherwise your render will show distorted), click OK and save your comment again.

That should get you the big picture!

I downloaded the shark image and realized that it will not work for the dolphins, so maybe I should look for a dolphin image that will somewhat match the object, or look for a better freebie. Thanks for your help Jay. smiley

No worries, Mermaid...I recall doing a fish render some time back, and the mat with it was very good, so, perhaps you might be able to get a fish freebie and apply the mat (dolphin freebies, I bet, are rarer than fish freebies).

Horo - a cool render. It reminds me of one I did in Bryce 5.5, looks a bit similar. I wonder if I still have it.blush

Horo: that is a nice stack of upside-down glasses (or looks that way). Wonderful to use a transparent texture.

Rasberri: you're welcome. Just play and try and follow lots of tutorials and you can do it just like the others. Well, maybe not like the real masters, because that takes lots of skill and training. But very good renders can be made by most people in Bryce, I think.

Mermaid: fantastic terrain and wonderful scene. Wonder what made the balloon tilt so much? What's the story?

Pure poverty: I rerendered the image at page 45 with different textures (and an additional wall). I wanted to bring a bit more life to some of the 'buildings'. In the end, the difference is not so great as I hoped. But still, wanted to show it.

    Turbulence laugh......thanks for the comments.

The second render is nice -  but I prefer the lighting of the 1st one.

Horo : A giant iceberg or a mountain of glasses, either way it looks great.

mermaid010 : Wonderful scene, awesome clouds.

Hansmar : I have to agree with mermaid, I also prefer your first render.

mermaid - thank you. Very windy weather it seems when looking at the baloon. Beautifully done.

Hansmar - thank you. This render looks great but once we've seen the previous one, we prefer that one.

    adbc - thank you.

The camera with the fisheye lens is in the previous hand-drawn terrain and the NeonWire HDRI gives the colour and light.

Mermaid, adbc, Horo: understood and understandable.

Horo: highly interesting render. Like the inside of the whale, from Jonah's point of view.

I think I played too much Fallout 4... (okay in the game much more trash lie around)

Update April 16: I have attached a second version with a bit of garbage.

    Fallout 4 similar

Electro-Elvis - I don't know Fallout but the render looks great.

  • JamahoneyJamahoney Posts: 1,791

    Hehe, Elvis...looks very real.

Played the first Fallout some years back, but it drove me crazy at times (have just purchased Far Cry 4 secondhand, and it looks completely different, but very nice).

Double stacked terrain and one in the foreground, trees, clouds from the Sky lab. Ambient light by an HDRI and key light by the sun.

  • @Horo, Jamahoney: Thanks a lot. Horo: Very convincing landscape as usual.
@adbc: Thank you. I like your Early Spring scene. The thin grass in the foreground looks very good. Could you tell me, where you have got it.
    @S Ray: Nice mermaid.
@Hansmar: Interesting and somehow intriguing landscape
@mermaid010: Excellent landscape. I love the texture of it. Is it from the Bryce default materials? And the sky looks awesome.

S Ray: Nice render. I would have liked a bit more light on the lady. In the thumbnail, I hardly noticed her.

Adbc. Nice scene. I lke the fallen tree in the pond, a very realistic touch.

Electro-Elvis: great wasteland. The version with additional garbage has my preference. And thanks, of course.

Horo: another of your fine landscapes, with very nice lights.

    Horo : Awesome terrain landscape.

Electro-Elvis : thanks. The grass I used is probably bryce grass modified, don't really remember. I used it before and saved it in the object library.

    Hansmar : thanks.

    Electro-Elvis - thank you.

    Hansmar - thank you.

    adbc - thank you.
