Horo : Again a really nice landscape.

Made a new render "mini jungle". Used Bryce trees with user's leaves, small plants are free resource.

Very good! Only the leaves of the water lilies are too large.

mermaid010, Horo : thanks for your comment.

mermaid : http://www.toucan.co.jp/3DCG/3ds/FlowerModelsE.html  is the link where I got the water lily from ages ago.

Slepalex : thanks, there are bigger water lilies around but with lower or no stems. As mentioned it's a freebie and in one piece, not grouped. I reduced them just a little bit.

In fact this is a frequent problem with freebies that cannot be ungrouped and therefore difficult to texture and/or resize some parts

Write to me on PM or email and I'll send you the leaves of my own water lilies (made in Bryce). You can scale them as you like.

Adbc - thanks for the link, I think I have those already, a long time ago Chohole posted a link to the Toucan website.

Slepalex - beautiful renders as always

  • HoroHoro Posts: 10,646

adbc - still very nice. We have quite big water lilies but I'm not a great botanist ...

Slepalex - two very beautiful landscapes. I particularly like the second.

  • adbcadbc Posts: 3,115

Horo : thanks. Here as well : big water lilies, maybe they don't really fit in the landscape, Slepalex is the specialist in marvelous landscapes !

Slepalex : thanks for the offer, I'll send you a PM.

    Horo: very nice landscape

    adbc: Lovely mini-jungle.

Slepalex: Masterful landscape renders again. I too like the second one most.

Mermaid: Very nice abstract work; I like abstracts!

  • adbcadbc Posts: 3,115

mermaid010 : Awesome abstract, great colours.

    Hansmar : thanks.

mermaid - that's a most beautiful abstract, great colours and shape.

    Hansmar - thank you.

Rutted hills this time with a rather narrow FOV of 42 deg giving a horizontal angle of view of just 32 deg.

While I am busy having fun in the DTE (trying to understand it) using Horo’s Pdf, Robin Wood’s tutorial and viewing David’s videos on the Filters, I thought it will be a good idea if the Dolphins had some fun too.

mermaid - thank you. Playing dolphins look great and nobody complains about the waterfall devil

    adbc - thank you.

David Brinnen made the terrain and the material applied to it from a project we're working on, though I modified the material.

Horo - thanks, still working on a material for the waterfall, surprisingly no one volunteered to share onewinklaugh. Your latest mountainous render is awesome, once again perfect material and lighting combination.

mermaid010 : The dolphins having fun is a very nice render.

Horo : Awesome sky and mountains.

Super, Mermaid...the coloured ball is a wonderful addition. Might I suggest the dolphin skins need another, say, very dulled, blue-ish/white-ish material pattern (I have a shark mat, if of use, but don't know), and how would changing the water mat to a turbulence-less one with, say, a very, very slight ripple/reflectance one that might add to the dynamics.

Just suggestions, but don't feel obliged to pay heed to them - you are the artist after all, and you have final say. Oh, and it's certainly not a criticism...super idea.

    Phew, Horo...one of your best!

Mermaid: Looks good. They sure have fun. Hope you still also have fun, trying to get a waterfall-effect.

Horo: Very beautiful render again. Fantastic light and textures.

Thanks Adbc, Jay and Hansmar for the comments.

Jay- regarding the dolphin, it is just one mesh, hard to change the material as I will lose the eyes, but I can try your shark mat. This last render was from a file I am working with I didn't think much about the water, I will give another material a try. Thanks for the suggestions, even criticisms are welcome.wink

Hansmar- I don’t think I’ll succeed with the waterfall mat but the learning process is great. I did not know till recently that every component in the DTE has a reset button and randomize button. My only problem is the million times Bryce crashed, my system can’t handle the complexity of playing with the textures, especially when I play with all 3 components.

Hi Folks, This is one of my first (to share) renders in Bryce - I am still learning quite a bit about lighting, camera focus and maneuvering (so this was not a serious endeavor) and how many objects I can get away with without crashing.  (I save frequently). I wonder if DAZ will ever have plans to create a 64 bit version of Bryce.  I threw this together with objects--including the terrain& texture-- I collected from several online free sources including turbosquid and CGTrader, as well as some gaming recolors. I have another version with a small shack to compliment the string lights in the background. Also, can someone tell me how to insert a larger version of the image in here blush

edit.. I added a link since I am not yet clear how to imbed pics here

    mermaid - thank you.

    adbc - thank you.

    Jamahoney - thank you.

    Hansmar - thank you.

Rasberri - welcome to Bryce. Very well done scene, excellent even considering you're just starting. Keep it up. Even though Bryce is still 32 bit, you can get quite far with it and there is always the option to make it large address aware to boost memory from 2 GB max to around 3.5 GB.

Mermaid...will PM you the shark mat (given the chance as it is stored on another computer that I have to connect to - physical, desktop connections etc.,).
