The scarab, it was a dung beetle that would roll dung and thusly was seen as pushing the sun forth on a path thru the sky, like the day is continuously reborn, rolls thru the sky to lay to rest. Really? I thought crocodiles/alligators was a new/old world split, like monkeys with prehensile tails. I will have to update my mental images.

Yeah, they're not native to Florida, they've migrated here over the centuries. Mostly, we have American Crocs, but we've also had a preponderance of Nile Crocs here, which is really bad.... there have been deaths involving them. Its kind of threatening the ecosystem of the Everglades (much like the inundation of burmese pythons in ENP) And yeah, they're relatives for sure. Gators are way more tame tho, they leave you alone for the most part.
Also stopped by to say for anyone who may have noticed my new items were not on sale - it was a mistake, and they've been put back on 30% off. Just wanted to let everyone know.

Cool! I just passed thru there last Summer (we did a really long roadtrip all over Florida... stopped off in St Pete and Largo to see family. went to Gainesville to see a friend, Carrabelle which is just past Tallahassee on the panhandle to see more family, and finally St Augustine to bike ride)
Thanks! This was a nice surprise. Wish more people had jumped in, though. Can't wait to see what else happens. Your release threads are always fun. :)
I think I'm going to work on some ancient-Egyptian-inspired morphs, unfortunately have to get some writing done or I'll fall out of the habit, but hey, it's the weekend! [Sleep? What is that?]
Oh, just noticed I won a round. I really should pay more attention. :P Thanks! :)
