I finally got this one finished.

It's so hard to work at the computer when I just want to snuggle under my blankets on the couch :( Maybe when the weather gets warmer?

So, here is the Serpent Goddess (with a Scarab)

Thanks! I love the set. You always do such cool things.

I really, really miss the heating system in my last house. It used a heat pump and had a programmable thermostat. SO nice to have a warm house when you woke up or got home from work. I also never realized just how cheap electricity was in the Pacific Northwest. Not like out here on the East Coast.

Anyway ... you know the air conditioning/heating units you normally encounter in hotels? Where the unit is under the window and each unit has those horrible cooler/cool/normal/warm/warmer controls? That's what we have in these apartments. However, shortly after I moved in, the unit in the living area leaked and was replaced. That unit actually has a digital control where you can set the temperature to a number, while the one in the bedroom has the ever so unhelpful dial.

Now, being ever so poor since I work in a non for profit company funded through the state, and consequently, our salaries have been frozen for five or six years now, I keep the thermostat set at a chilly 68 degrees in the winter. It just doesn't seem to matter whether I set it higher, it still isn't warm enough for me. So ... since I'd have to wrap up in a blanket anyway, I may as well save some money while doing so.

The downside is that I usually end up falling asleep on the couch because I'm so toasty warm wrapped up in blankets. It took me over two hours to watch NCIS Los Angeles this afternoon because I kept falling asleep!

I finally got this one finished.

Ooooo that is GORGEOUS hun.... I love the scales and how well this mixes with other stuff
(I was actually toying with the idea of doing some Egyptian scales with a heart and feather, but decided against it)

Ok, since Im doing another set thats similar, I kind of wanted to get everyone's opinion on something.
Did you guys like how this was split up, or would you prefer it to be in one set?

    Thanks, Iggy!

I liked that it was split, and that there was also a bundle.

    me too!

plus the original pack included two texture add ons to start with, so it's not like you were stuck with just that one texture (which i've seen happen in a few products and drives me nuts)

Well, it was a new idea for me to split them like that. But I wanted to make sure the main set had two in it, so that ur not kind of just stuck with the default.

That said, I wasn't sure how well it went over. And since I'm doing the next one with much the same premise (and same add-on, respectively) I just wanted everyone's thoughts on that (so I can either do it or not lol)

I will try to buy a bundle, if it's an outfit with a texture add on pack, BUT if the original outfit has no extra textures at all, then I feel gypped at having to buy the add on just to get at least one extra different texture. If the price is dirt cheap, then that's another matter of course (as in, if the original outfit is like $2, then I'll buy the add on and not worry about price, but i'll still feel gypped that we kinda had no choice, if you know what I mean. )

ON the other hand, because your products are so packed full, then I don't feel any problems at buying an add on pack for it, or the bundle.

If your product was simply: shirt, pants, shoes and was around the $20 mark, and it only came with the one texture, and you had to shell out another $10 to get more textures....yeah, I'd be a bit miffed.

Yeah, I hear ya there... if my outfits were only a couple little pieces, I def wouldn't charge as much. I kind of have a sweet spot for what I offer at a certain price... which usually includes a combination of the models, how many tex come in it - which is usually at least 2, poses as an addition or comes down to how many morphs I stuff in it ... and those tend to be a lot, as much as I can. I got a little carried away with this one lol The skirt is over the top with morphs. But as much as I like bodyhandles, they're kind of not enuff for me.... so I always wanna put movement morphs in, additionally.

But yah, I, for whatever reason, hate doing only one texture in a set. It prolly comes down to if I were buying, I'd like to have multiples to switch it up a bit. You know, pink polka dotted texture 1 is great, but it might not go real well with my chartreuse scene LOL

when it comes to skirts and long dresses and long loinclothes, the MORE morphs/movements morphs the BETTER!! that's why your pak was so exciting. :D

    Futile Question, I know, but:

Has anyone tried to use this with Genesis? What works? What doesn't? I'm assuming it's got the usual shoe problem, and the usual long skirt problem, but just how bad is it?
And does the hair work? I would suppose that the underwear that is outerwear is reasonably okay, and the jewelery, but what else?

Im not sure how well it will convert. I know ppl have been using SickleYield's utility to do it. But how far it will do it, is unknown (mostly coz the sash in the front is Easy Pose) The rest, however, should convert pretty well.

Hopefully someone can come in and post a better assessment of the situation.

I'm particularly interested in the hair (love the shoes, but know better than to get my hopes up there). Would *like* to have access to the skirt, if I can.

Well, I've got all day to decide.

Ok well here is my result using Auto fit. The biggest issue is the sash on the skirt (which incidentally, can be hidden if one wanted, as it comes with utility mats that will hide that pc, among others) And the skirt is not perfect either (tho dont know if SY's utility would perhaps be better - from what Ive seen, it yields better results and its intended to work for bodyhandles) The shoes are always another issue using Auto fit (tho SY's utility actually does much better with shoes) The rest works pretty good. Obviously, when converting the hair tho, u will lose the pigtails capability to be posed.

Hi! I wanted to thank IgnisSerpentus for this fantastic outfit, it is amazing! There are TONS of morphs on everything - you can change so many things. JOdel, I wanted to try to answer your question, please forgive my hurried renders - I didn't have time to really make them nice, and I am not the most advanced user so there's a lot I am probably missing/doing wrong... From my experience so far this works great on Genesis with just autofit - except, as IgnisSerpentus mentioned, the sash gets crumpled, and you COULD make it invisible.

For the hair, if you make sure there is nothing selected in your scene, have your character at the default loading spot, and load the hair, it will ask what to fit to, just select none - then size it to fit, there are a lot of fit morphs, and then parent to head - the morphs then work fine.

Even though the bodice and skirt are fitted to Genesis, the morphs work for them as well. I am not sure what the black spots are in my render - shadows of the handles that I've made invisible perhaps? And I don't know why there are no regular shadows - (first time using this set so haven't figured it out either).

And, didn't even try the shoes on Anubis, but the other parts fit pretty well! However, using Anubis reminded me that I need to learn how to use LAMH. (LOL wish I could keep up with all this)

Also, I have SickleYield's Rigging and Morphing System, haven't used it yet but I think I will try and see how it works on this.

Anyway, my personal advice is this is so worth it, and hope my renders are at least a little helpful... -Cathy

Hi hun. Thanks so much for the glowing review and for helping people out with the question of Genesis compatibility.

The black spots are the bodyhandles. There is a mat that will make them invisible in the clothing mats folder (under utility mats) Unfortunately, you have to apply that in DS to make them render invisible.

Anubis looks sexy in it!! lol

I was considering getting it for the wig. It's a great wig and if it can be scaled and parented as a prop, then it's doable.

    Thanks all!

Well, it is a conformer.... if its loaded in the scene and not conformed, however, it should be able to be parented to the figure as though it were a prop. At least, in theory.... Id have to test it out to make certain of that lol

K just checked and yes it will work that way and naturally, the morphs are retained. However, its a bit complicated (esp when bending the head fully back - as u can see from my screenie) as some of the morphs may not account for this level of adjustment.

I would say you could give it a shot and return it if its not up to snuff (with the 30 day money back guarantee) but its really iffy, and I wouldnt feel comfy saying it works. Its best when conformed (either to V4 or via autofit to Genesis)

I am working on trying SickleYield's rigging set on the skirt, having a little trouble figuring out what to do so it may be awhile :/

I originally was just parenting the hair after scaling and fitting, BUT I did just try the hair on Genesis using fit to, and didn't loose the morphs! So great news :) -Cathy
