Considering the request for Hockey equipment and outfits, I'm surprised no one asked for a zamboni or an ice rink with markings, with the stands and seating of course.
But if you're having ice equipment you need curling...
A script that merges the fstop in the camera with the fstop in the tone mapping so that exposure and depth of field would be linked like a real camera. And while we're at it, an exposure meter that works. Maybe a grey card that measure light hitting it and pops up a dialog box with a reading in either lumens, stops or camera settings. That way I can light a portrait and accuratly gauge a light ratio, like 2/1 or 3/1. I don't need it to change any settings, just give me the reading and I can work from there.
Hear, Hear.
As a photographer, I often scratch my head when I see what DAZ thinks Depth of Field, or F Stop is. It would make for such better renders if they simply followed photographic rules.
And while we're at it, I'd love a script that turns off limits.ALL limits. It takes 20 minutes to a half hour per character to turn off eye limits so I can open them more that DAZ believes is the proper maximum amount. Take a standard G8 character, and try to open theye eyes to a level that conveys fear.
Can't be done.

...+1.
I have exposure charts for several types of film/ASA. For most outdoor scenes my film of choice was Kodacrhome and Ektachdome 64 because of the rich colour saturation and crisp image. So for outdoor scenes, I would normally use the same settings for rendering, but as mentioned, they don't exactly work like a real camera and film.
With Daz to get the proper tone mapping to simulate a specific type of film I usually resort to applying filters It would be nice to be able to do this "in render".
I think I asked for a rink with markings earlier, or at least some kind of add-on for the figure skating rink we've currently got that provides a material for the markings, glass, netting, stands, player benches, sin bins, and goals.
An ice resurfacer (since I expect Zamboni wouldn't allow a Zamboni) would be particularly useful today, as it is Turtle Day. The day when St. McCarty avenged Draper and spilled the Lemieux's blood such that only resurfacing could cleanse it.
...yeah they have an several Zamboni models over at TS but they all have an "Editorial Use Only" licences because it's a "branded" product.
So tweak a few small details and call it a "Bambini" "Stromboli", or"Martini".
I never add to these lists but I would love a "desert cyc" like location; it is one of those places that is endlessly photographed for ads or Instagram. I should make one in Carrara or Hexagram!
what sort of desert? with mesas and stuff?

What I would like to see:
1. More roads/streets: I have some, and some are great, but they don't play well together. For example, I have a road kit that has 2 lanes going in each direction; HOWEVER, there is no intersection for it. so it's useless to me right now
2. Rooms with doors. Seriously. How hard is it to slap a door onto a wall, so people can enter and leave. I can't walk through walls
3. A decent parking lot/car park (not a parking garage/structure), but the type you would find at a grocery store or home improvement store
4. A strip mall (US term), where there are 4 of 5 stores in a building.
apparently strip shops don't sell
this was culled years ago
I always wanted an undead pirate monkey..and also a Live Oak Tree that you see growing in the deep south with the spanish Moss hanging all over it.
there is this

More aliens and harajuku styles. It's harder to say what isn't here especially for girl clothes. Maybe more assymetrical skirts with a frill and frilly blouses? Actually more pant styles too not just formal but casual too
-Pangolins
-More animals
-Back to back poses
-More dancing poses
-An environment based on Center Gai
-Mermaid style wedding and other formal dresses
-Other wedding dresses. The ones available are nice but just for more variety
-More practical but still pretty female armors.
-More dForce hairs and improved dForce for hair
-Maybe a seperate dForce system for hair since the one used was made for clothes
-Big drill pigtails
-More tutorials especially for lighting, shader settings, and dForce
I don't know that I would call that Spanish Moss. Looks too thin and lifeless.

Thank you Wendy! I will check that out! :)
I rendered a centaur trying to roller skate (and immediately regretting the decision):
Pony Steps
Oh, not a "desert"... but the actual Desert Cyc which looks like this:
Readme files included in the sold product packaging again.
I'm tidred of clicking on links in DIM only to be met with "This is a placeholder for the product Read Me - this product has not yet been publicly released. Keep an eye...... yadayadayada" and then having to fix my own readme (which is really the only way to keep track on products when they are mapped all over the place....)
If you right-click on any item in the installed tab in DIM, you can select "Show installed files" and scroll down a bit (the data files show first) until you get to the file locations of the thing you're looking for. It's very handy.
Ah, okay.
I've never really been around babies, so I wouldn't really know (all that I do know, has been gleaned from "Call the Midwife").
There is already a specific dForce system for hair. Actual dForce hair (as opposed to "hair with dForce" like this one for example) use that system, not the one for clothes.
I'm not going to knock morph grabber because I waited so long for a DS tool like this, but a more advanced one like the Poser Morph Brush would be great. The Poser one creates dials in the Parameters Tab so you can later make adjustments. With clothing it also recognises there's a figure benieth the clothes so you can't push morphs inside (below the skin) the character wearing it. And a good set of functions like smooth, flatten, tighten and loosen clothes or parts of clothes.
...that's great. Fortunately it's not rollerblades, that would be really scary..

I think the most important item I would love to see instore is a utility that will make any hair fit properly with the Growing Up Youth Morphs. This utility could inject a series of morphs into the hair that we can adjust to make the hair 'look' better on child characters. As it stands, hair often distorts and shrinks below the Upper Neck and around the fringe and hairline. Some hairs seem to exhibit this behavior worse than others.
I am surprised no one has made one yet. I think a utility to make hair fit properly with the Youth Morphs will sell incredibly well. At least, for those of us who enjoy creating and rendering child characters.
Other items I long to see in the Daz store include:
1. Child appropriate and everyday simple hairstyles (for girls and boys). A lot of hairstyles are too supermodel for my tastes. The hair should be made for both G3 and G8 since I use both generations equally.
2. I think someone already mentioned hairs with changable bangs/fringes and other styling options, so I will second that. I would also like to see hair with partings that can be moved to the left or right. Hairstyles with clip-on braids. Hairstyles with hairbands. Hairstyles with slides and pins.
3. Hair content creators should make their hair more compatible with the Youth Morph. Especially if no one is going to create the universal utility I already mentioned.
4. Greater support for 3Delight. I feel 3Delight is being sadly neglected. I find I am using 3Delight a lot more than Iray recently. 3DL just seems to be less of a resource hog on my computer than Iray. At the moment I am using the RSSY Iray to 3DL converter on a lot of my purchases.
5. Real historical clothing, not historical fantasy. What I mean by this, is clothing that would be worn by normal, everyday people in history. In particular, Ancient Persian, Ancient Greek, Ancient Mesopotamian, Nabataean and Phoenician. I've seen some Ancient Egyptian clothing instore, but the vast majority of it is Historical Fantasy and/or for the royal characters.
6. Real historical hairstyles. This I think fits in with my wish for more everyday, simple hairstyles since there's quite a lot of overlap here.
7. Temples. Especially ancient temples. Perhaps a replica of the Sanctuary of Artemis at Brauron. Ancient Sassanid and Achaemenid Persian fire temples. Nabataean High Places. A Greek Temple of Apollo...
8. Interacting figure pose presets featuring children and parents/adults, and between younger and older siblings. Currently I either search for presets that are a close fit to what I want and adjust them, or I build my poses from scratch. But then, all pose presets require adjusting anyway depending on the characters and their relative sizes. I think this would really help newer users who are still learning how to adjust and pose their characters. I remember the frustration I had in posing characters that actually looked like they were interacting with each other when I first used Daz Studio.
In addtion, please make sure poses do not change the eyes, scale and expressions. I have found a lot of pose presets also do strange things with the eyes and expressions out of the box, and some even change the character's scale! My workaround so far has been to load the pose and resave it again without the changes.
I would also love to see a zamboni and a hockey rink (one NHL sized and another a community rink for kid's minor hockey and ice skating).
I would love to see more period correct props, vehicles, clothing, hiar styles and architecture. Especially for the 1930s through to the late 1960s. The kind of stuff you would see in a Norman Rockwell era illustration.
Also more similar stuff for the Victoria era & USA Civil War.
And as I have said prior more indepth information on the database structure of DAZ's porteges sql database, what FILES to backup, how to properly migrate data to a new computer or replacment hard drive.
