What's the one thing you've always wanted to see sold at daz but never have?

    Hi Guys,

for the ingenious scifi genre, it would be a great thing if there were futuristic pyramids and concrete structures, maybe even as modular kits, wouldn't it?

I haven't found anything suitable in the DAZ Store yet ?!

    Here some examples...

    A wombat.

Also jumping back on the hockey train yet again since there's interest, and in case anyone's lurking with intent to create. Rink/arena with all the goodies I've mentioned before, a Zamboni Stromboli, and dear god please a new outfit and accessories for G8M. The M4 set does not convert well at all (nor I imagine would anything that involves items that are supposed to be relatively thick and/or rigid). Would like to see a helmet that has both a clear visor option, for those who own a dental morph package, and an option with a full cage, for those of us who don't.

And poses. Wheel, snipe, celly, boys!

    A dForce octopus.

An invisible chair. Sadly, I still can't see it.

Well, there's a semi-transparent chair that could become invisible for the same price... https://www.renderosity.com/rr/mod/freestuff/basic-garden-furniture/87801

Oh, and it has a table. I saw that the chair has 14 more poly's than the invisible chair. I put it down to modelling incompetance, myself.

Inspired by this thread https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/482531/any-of-you-like-hand-painted-meshes/p1 , but I'd like a toon/hand painted shader kit or geoshells for G8F and G8M. Rather than re-buy skins, I just add the soft airbrushing highlights and shadows over existing skin. I could possibly whip up something similar myself, but my laptop can barely handle painting simple textures with 3DCoat. X'D

Works like these should be easy enough to make. They would need nice textures. I'd be surprised if there isn't something similar somewhere.

As a photographer, I often scratch my head when I see what DAZ thinks Depth of Field, or F Stop is. It would make for such better renders if they simply followed photographic rules.

Agreed! But I have moved over to Blender for my modeling needs, and it continues to amaze me with its capabilities.

...same here because the UI changes are finally easer to work with and it doesn't freeze up or crash when adding smoothing (had that occur even on the 64 bit beta).

Hexagon is my primary modeller, at least till my new computer is ready. I did grab the 2.5 beta version that was free, so the crashes stopped unless I load something really heavy. It never moved out of beta, so I assume they stopped working on it...such a shame.

  • Traps...there are no trap product.  Like: Bear trap, hole with spikes at bottom, etc.

It's so unstable! I thought, "It's me. I'm doing it wrong." Then I was watching Arki's wonderful tutorials ( https://www.daz3d.com/submerged-inside-hexagon-and-daz-studio--bundle ) and it misbehaves for her, too. surprise That being said, Daz should devote some resources to it because it's obviously a great program and can be used to produce outstanding results.

Hmmm... Is there really a market for something like that? And are you sure there are none? Maybe as a set...

Yes, I too am moving over to Blender. Tried Silo and I like it but it's mirror/symetry function is confusing. Blender's  2.8x interface is so much more appealing than the horrid 2.7. But Blender does have some things that I dislike. I really hate the cursor movement ala Cursor to origin, Cursor to geometry, etc. It's confussing and makes no sense. Also I'm only interested in using Blender for modeling. No interest in the rendering (use Vue for that), sculpting (3D Coat), texturing (3D Coat), shading (3DCoat or Vue). These other operations often are in the way. Too bad there wasn't a version with the modeling function only

The addition of modifiers and addons is fantastic.

....years ago I got Hexagon at a 50% discount during MM when it listed for 149$   Ended up bagging after a while it because of all the instabilities I kept running into the more I worked with it.  Pretty much gave up on modelling back then as Blender's UI was still all keyboard driven which had a steep learning curve of its own (and I felt was rather cumbersome) while other software like 3DS, C4D, and Modo were far too expensive.

Actually Wendy was right , it is there

Just choice not polished Aluminium first ( dusty/dirty ) and  after Micro surface 3, 4 or 5

the galvanized effect is under Micro Surfaces ( it change the normal reflections in both directions )you can use on top of any metal , best effect if you choice metal that is used and not pure shine.

  • I would love to see a Red Panda sold for Daz 3D. They are my favorite animal in the whole wide world and I've been wanting to do renders with one for ages. This would be perfect for zoo scenes or renders depicting the Asian landscape and culture.

It would also be useful if there were keffiyeh / shemagh available: they can be worn draped over the back like a shawl, or wrapped around the neck similar to a scarf, but people also wear them like a complete bandit mask, or covering only the lower half of the face, and even atop the head similar to a turban with the end of the material draping down on one side. Traditional black and white would sell the best but then texture packs could be made for the other colors. Great for any Arabic / Middle Eastern renders.

The final thing I would love to see are hummingbirds! They are so beautiful, like jewels in the sky, and they would really add that special something to renders of gardens, faeries, and other magical / ethereal renders.

It would be nice if ther were more animals native to North America available for DAZ, especially a very common critter as a bobcat or lynx.

Perplexed just about every other cat is avaialble but not these two.

AND YES I'm aware of Lynne's versions but I am not pleased with them. For one thing the bobcat has a long tail and a bob cat has a bobbed tail.

I agree so much with red pandas! There's a toon fox with a red panda skin but realistic ones would be good too

    - Cute robots! DzFire and LadyLittleFox working together to make them would be really cool.  Something like Honeybolt but are Genesis 8.1 male and female figures

    - Male snakepeople

    - Custom content organizer

    - Mermaid style wedding dress

-Violin and poses for genesis 8

    - Stuff like what's in the uploaded pics. I know some can be made by mixing sets and some might already exist but just in case

A decent modern hearse. Something like this 2D cover I did back in 2015, but better of course. (I know the hand painted character sucks lol) but I am waiting on a hearse to redo this cover and the trailer. A taxi just doesn't cut it.
