Thats cause shaders are cool and will get me to revisit the odd 3Delight rendering again.

...OK here's one fore the new thread.

Started as just an experiment with AoA's Metalized Glass Shaders and the Apteromata Flight Wings...

...ended up being quite a kitbash in the end.

The dress is not Apteromata Finery as the skirt distorted too much with Autofit so I used Manga Hart which worked quite well with the wings and harness.

Fabricator for the top using a freebie texture, Silkessence for the skirt with opacity slightly reduced.

The headdress is from The Ice Princess also retextured with The Metalised Glass Shaders

The boots are from Roxana Yaroslavna, Vampire Lady For Genesis again retextured with the Fabricator and posed to hide the spike heels.

The streetlights are from Le VIllage.

The Zepplin Star uses DZ Fire's Real Metals (green copper) for the frame with reflectivity reduced as well as changes to the Diffuse colours for other parts to give it a more "Steam Punk appearance.

Flames, smoke and steam effects from Jepe's FLamez and StemaZ.

Several of AntFarm's Never series sets.

...and all topped off with AoA's Atmospheric Effects Cameras (smog preset), using a Cloud9 Sky/Light dome.

...oh, and the character is SMay's Stalker Girl with The Teen Ashley Skin Map and base SSS Shaders.

    Render time 18 min at 120 x 900.

Cool here are some PS worked ones with real water backdrops I used the new 4.6 & AOA basic shader with Latinos lights 2 real fast times due to jusr rendering the characters.. Roger is AWOL hanging out in the celeb look alike thread... Turns out in many cases I am now getting faster render times out of Lux over 3Delight

...might find myself heading there as well eventually with how I am really getting into morphing Genesis, particularly since I have several of the merchant resource morph kits.

I dont really understand how they work I think one needs to apply maps manually & stuff. I just face gen a character if I want a RL celeb

Lovin the new workstation.. Butttt the notebook is still very relevant...

I was getting notifications for the Celeb thread but not this one. The 3DL renders look almost as good as the Lux ones to me. She'd better swim for it!

I'm sure only the beast could cope with a render like that.

...thanks. Almost thought of throwing in Nerd3D's Fog Tool for a little more random hazy effect. May still try that.

Beginning to really love messing with shaders.

I am enjoying these shaders immensely! Finally, an excuse to dust off a bunch of my runtime I'd been ignoring, lol.

Also, I noticed it was much easier, for me, to just work up a new model than to try to apply it to any of my currently saved ones. I invariably missed a pre-applied shader (I am somewhat of a shader fixationalist, if you can't tell by the image) on SOME surface.

Very impressive work. Out of interest, where did you get the car from? It looks nicely detailed from what I can tell, and I could really use some vehicles in my runtime which aren't old buses or rusted out trains.

Naturally, I've not been sitting on my laurels either and have been using the subsurface shaders quite a bit lately. This is a render I started a while ago, but left on the sidelines for various reasons. I decided to finish it recently and tarted it up with the new SSS Shaders. That said, I had to be a bit sneaky with the render, since the shaders have a bug with hiding body parts so instead I had to create a new surface group and switch their opacity to zero.

The refraction was done using a special lens through which the camera points. Minor touch ups in Photoshop CS5.

I am looking to upgrade my vid card from the AMD for pro w5000 2 G ddr 5 to 7000 4G ddr5 to to a 1/2 off promotion from AMD!!!

More ideas brainstorming. It's also the first render I've published which uses the toon baby I picked up some months ago. I've done other renders with the little guy, but mostly for other people rather than as a general work. As is probably expected of my toon works lately, it's using the subsurface shader for the skin though the rest of the materials, including clothes, remain unchanged.

By default, the toon baby doesn't actually come with a diaper, so I had to improvise and used the one from the Genesis baby figure. Though it did require some scaling and I added smoothing modifiers to get it looking as if it was made for the kid.

Sadie's found a new crush, much to the surprise of Jason, Jasmine and Sam.

..ach! almost forgot about this one. Now that the contest has been over for a couple weeks I guess I can post it here.

This was my submission to the April RRRR challenge. About 150 individual objects (more than thirty just on the lab table alone) to create the clutter of an eccentric scientist's lab.

Used AoA's Atmospheric Cameras (Smog preset) and mesh lights in the hanging lights (the shades were created by rescaling a funnel prop) The glass dome on the top shelf includes Sadie Fae, a number of LBs, plants and one of AntFarm's Base Camp props.

...and yes, that is a stack of Spam cans on the shelf below (courtesy of Trekkie Girrrl).

...thanks. The characters are the classic Aiko3 and 3DU's Gramps "Mad Scientist" (both non-Genesis).

    ...on another front

Finally found the correct SN and order # to register Reality 2.5. Currently DLing the latest version of LuxRender.

So you got your win Sh*t resolved? I want to learn to install windows myself since I have 2 machines and can afford to experiment. The only bummer HP has something like 30 drivers for my notebook..

Just a pretty simple two-light setup. An UberEnvironment light for ambience and a single distant light. The UE was tinted pale blue, while the distant light is tinted pale yellow. The result is a nice colour-balanced image which still gives a nice warmth to the sun. I had to model and texture the ice creams held by Sam myself, since I couldn't find a decent cornet-style ice cream prop anywhere.

...sort of. Ended up activating the system's Administrator account and made sure that the latest release (0.18) of 4.6 installed to the proper locations.

Something did bugger my setup of 4.6 for the other day when I started it I got the default setup as if I had just installed for the very first time. Might have been related to the blue screen event that occurred Monday night which was related to either an out of date MB or GPU driver. Updated and all fixed now though the app is still acting a bit odd (Autofit no longer kicks in automatically when I load Gen3/4 clothes to Genesis and any morph/adjustment controls ofr them now end up in in "General" category sliders under the Parameters Tab). Annoying but not crippling.

...and only 30 drivers? I have over 100 updates to Win7 to still DL and install (most relating to IE8 which I rarely use and Net Framework) though once I install Poser 2012 guess i will need them as it's library display uses Adobe Flash Player though IE.
