I watch a lot of anime, and love Japanese culture. Remember, one of my characters is a traditionally trained Shinobi of Samurai descent.

I see Avatars... they are every where... they don't know their Avatars... (in my best Haley Joel Osment voice.)

Hi Chameleon, nice to see you :D:D
    Hey hosts, and rulers
one question. how we count freebies only usable in one aplication and Iam asking about this : http://www.runtimedna.com/WMV4.html
    and ofcourse this :http://www.runtimedna.com/Outfitter.html

I understand we do not list them as freebies, but are they than no count ?

I don't remember anything (CAUTION: LOW MEMORY) in the rules about freebies having to be useable in every program. They just have to be accessible to everyone. These items evidently only work in Poser, but I don't see why that would exclude them from your freebie list.

On the other hand, the same workaround applies here as in any other problem with the rules -- just stuff more freebies into your scene so you're well beyond the eight-count. You don't get bonus points for being minimalist. (Actually maximalism is appreciated.)

There Dorsey. Is my first NAE not as shocking with a new avatar?

No, the shock's worn off -- or maybe my nerves are numb after nearly a month that seems to be taking a year.

Avatar looks cool but still tough enough!

I think Rule 3b applies here: "V4/M4/K4 Morphs++ and V3/M3 Head & Body Morphs will not count toward a purchased item. All other morph packages will be counted." (Which discriminates against A3 - she doesn't have her morphs built-in the way H3 does - but what can you do?)

However, the WM morph is free... If there's no official decision by the end of this month, I'll rule V4WM is a no-count item.

Rob, I believe you can reset the rules in May if you wish as host of that month, but also keep in mind that BWSMan is on the rules committee, so what he says can be taken as official -- at least in the (hopefully) temporary absence of God -- I mean Music!

Well, I'm reasonably certain that that's light at the end of the tunnel ...

However, nearly TWO DAYS left in the April Challenge, folks, and many great prizes hanging in the balance, with a mere TEN ENTRIES so far.

If anyone's dawdling, stop dawdling. Uncle Ganthor needs you!

Them thar rules is the rules, and the main part of them is not going to change. THere has been far too many attempts to muck this challenge up with debats about rules.

As the rules are at the top of the forum there really is no need to rep[eat them when you set up a new contest, just say the rules are here, and post a link to them.

That was the idea of having a Sticky thread with the rules in it, to save the monthly hosts from having to repeat them all the time.

Yeah, Rob, don't touch those rules!

But, uh, Chohole, it would appear that the V4 Poser-only morphs throw another Spaniard in the works, as John Lennon would say.

Not really as V4 is allowed and Poser is allowed.

There are a lot of things that are program specific, like dynamic stuff for example.

For me, that would be an oncoming train...with a wide load...and a wide cowcatcher...and no brakes.

Well, I suppose you could start running away from the train, backward in time as it were, and that would give you more time to do a render!

I see the V4WM as being similar to a program specific shader; which is allowed. As long as Krissy states that the freebies are for Poser only (specifically P9 & PP2012) to avoid confusion; she will be OK.

Way back on page 2, I posted this:

Second, a little something for next month that you should know now:
... (we ain't gonna take no udder world aliens or stuff like dat. Leave dat sorta thing for dem sci-fi Doctor Who contests) ...
I got's this space ship that I got back in 1978, I be giving a copy of it to all the entrants to this here contest.
'course I has to paint it first. kinda hard thou, the paint brush keeps hitting the glass on the screen & not the model.
    :) :)

I guess maybe I told too many people about next month's theme... nitehawk's participation gift for this month will be accepted as a freebie for next month. This is a one-time-only special allowance, not a permanent change to the rules!
I'm cleaning up my notes before the end of the month, so I can make a coherent post to kick off May's challenge... Did this vehicle ever make it out of the body shop? Or should I refrain from mentioning it at the start of the next challenge?

Honestly, I thought he was kidding, just having a little fun with one of my "extra rules" about having to change your avatars on April 15 -- with a crayon on the computer screen if DAZ hadn't fixed that capability yet.

    But who knows? OH, NITEHAWK???

Oh my.. seems I need to stop asking stupid questions ;)

I just wanted to make sure, I do not have to ditch V4-WM, she does not need to be listed in the links, but I also do not want to streach my payed for list, since it is very handy :)

Rob Isn't A3 still availible at CNET for free? together with v3, m3 and h3? http://download.cnet.com/Poser-DAZStudio-3D-Models-Pack/3000-6677_4-10579249.html?tag=main;dropDownForm that makes her legitimate freebie ;)

Yes, she is, but you have to pay for the Aiko 3.0 Morphs and Maps set. Hiro 3's morphs were built-in...
