@dazsteve There's no way I would pay $250 and have that restriction. Period. I can see restricting a mesh like the EULA discusses, but this is a solid, ONE entity thing that can't be broken apart and shared all over the place. It's beyond ridiculous IMO. What is the reasoning for this? Someone who is VERY shortsighted doesn't realize that if someone has say, a successful video game or book and sells these as collectibles (gawd knows they'd have to at these prices- paying $250 and then having to raise the price from there) increases your business.
People buying collectibles from you increases DAZ business only if DAZ gets a cut from the sales, or if those customers then go to DAZ and start buying their content (provided they know content was from DAZ in the first place).
With standard EULA, DAZ wouldn't get anything from what you sell, and the fraction of people buying collectibles who would convert to DAZ customers is not likely to be high. So DAZ doesn't have much to win from it.
You can contact DAZ directly to discuss an agreement with them if you want to sell 3D prints using their content.
Who do we contact to get information about selling 3d printed items from Daz? Just curious about what their terms are. If there are terms for this, why are they not listed somehwere already?
Try contacting Daz customer service team and they should be able to put you in touch with the right person I guess.
Yes, open a ticket https://www.daz3d.com/help/help-contact-us and set the contact department to Sales Support.

They probably don't have generic terms but discuss specific agreements on a case by case basis.
Survey answered. :) Now to start calculating costs and planning prints...
Thanks a lot :D this will be very helpful, much appreciated!
I know it's been mentioned, and I did mention it on the survey, but I want to submit another vote for being able to print things in a certain scale more than a specific height. One set of collectables I have has each figure on it's own base, but the bases themselves form a small diorama when placed in a row, and that's exactly the sort of thing I'd like to be able to replicate with this.
Consider the vote submitted :D I will be all over our production team until we get this out ;)
Survey answered. :) and first print submitted :D
Was not able to check out via paypal, using latest FireFox - was able to select the paypal option but then there was no "button" to click. Microsoft Edge worked.
Thanks :D we are checking the PayPal issue, it seems a bug that we need to hunt
Think its more a FireFox "display" issue than a paypal one. Had a similar issue with verification of my MakePrintable account. Was in contact with Faisal, maybe he knows already somthing.
Will double check with him right away
Here's a question... I kitbashed a Godzilla model for use in a non profit fancomic I'm using Studio for. Once you get to where you can do the un assembled and unpainted prints, would it be possible to get that kitbashed figure printed so I could have a one off model kit for myself? Or alternately, could it be possible to do prints of say, spaceships? I kitbashed a ship for a legit sci fi comic I hope to make one day using resources from Daz and "The other store", and would love to have a model of that I could build and paint.
I will need to ask our production team and double check on the legalities but generally speaking if you have a license for each piece used that allows you to 3D print then my initial assumption is yes, Daz EULA allows 3D printing for personal, non-commerical use.
Regarding spaceships, yes we can do spaceships :)
I wanted to share a sample that shows the quality of single color as we are going to add it soon, would love to hear yout thoughts on it and what price point should we targeted for a 7 inch figure![smiley smiley](https://www.daz3d.com/forums/plugins/ckeditor/js/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/regular_smile.png)
I can't get over the resolution quality of your printouts.....amazing stuff!
Crap, they're rather good - excuse me a moment, my credit card is whimpering under the sofa and I need to coax it out ...![cheeky cheeky](https://www.daz3d.com/forums/plugins/ckeditor/js/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/tongue_smile.png)
Thanks :D
Hahaha Good one
Cool. Most of the parts of the Godzilla are from Daz's store, one is a freebie Final Wars Godzilla I used for the arms. I'd need to see in the documention if there is anything on that. Buut, the fact that you can do ships is more interesting... Not gonna bite anytime soon, but maybe down the road.
Oh my God, he's got a Hibben Odyssey knife!
Where did you get that model? I must know!
I have the actual prototype Odyssey that Gil Hibben made to take to dealer shows before the production run at United.
that was a DAZ freebie from the Archive no longer availaable
I just wanted to say how impressed and pleased I am to see the Gameprint staff in here answering questions and clearing up all the details. It really speaks of a dedicated and professional commitment to their customers. I really hope this takes off for the Gameprint and Daz3D and becomes a profitable business venture. I look forward to using this service one day in the future.
what I am now up to. I exaggerated the supersuit seams as do not expect the detail to be painted, payday is tomorrow yes Oh my God, he's got a Hibben Odyssey knife! Where did you get that model? I must know! I have the actual prototype Odyssey that Gil Hibben made to take to dealer shows before the production run at United.
sadly I cannot share the model but your prototype should be able to be scanned
