So I downloaded the PlugIn and now I can't find it in the Panes(tabs) - Is there something else I'm supposed to do? I really have a figure (or two) that I'd love to have sitting on my desk in all their glory, but I can't even get the plugin to appear.. What have I goofed up now? Suggestions anyone?
Did you installed the plugin from Daz install manager? also please check under "Help->About installed plugins" the plugin should indicate that it is loaded, if not then make sure it is checked and restart Daz, let me know how it goes.
check under "Help->About installed plugins" if the Serial is missing you´ll find it in https://www.daz3d.com/downloader/customer/serialnumbers
you need to restart Studio after inserting the Serial
Yes I installed with Download manager... Went to the 'about installed plugins' to see that it was there...
Oddly enough, while it was there, and the serial appeard to be in the box, when I selected it, it said that it needed to be registered. So I followed HoMart's advice and RE-Entered the serial number. Once I'd done that, it appears as if it has accepted it and now I have it showing up in my Panes tab...
On to seeing how the rest of the process goes!
THANK YOU BOTH for your help!
Glad to hear that :D and please let me know if you need help with anything, I'm more than happy to help!
Here’s a larger version of troll, painted, standing next to a smaller 5 inch version of the female soldier I created using Victoria 7. I love the paint job the Gameprint team did on the troll. Sort of “meet my buddy”
I don't really do the minis and figures thing but holy poot. That's amazing.
I think maybe my kids need these for presents. Cough
totally for them
I always loved the troll but looking at both figures sanding next to each other it just looks amazing! can't stop thinking of a script for a movie having both figures.
Christmas is coming too late for halloween
@Oso3D I think you will love this one ;) this is a collectible quality thought
I think it'd tickle my kids (who are 9) if they could design a figure and get it as a figure. Hmm.
Any timeline of when you might announce primed models and different sizes? THAT would make my Christmas. <3
What are you talking about? Of course they get a cut. They get 50% from every item sold by a vendor! So if I buy 10 then Daz gets 50% from the sale of each of those.
My niece (13 years old) designed a fairy when she visited us last summer. I'm considering asking her grandma to go in halvies with me to get her fairy made for her as a Christmas present.
That would make a neat gift!
I'm patiently waiting for when you offer the 12" size. If I'm going to do one of my characters, I'd like to do it big.
Within few days
That would be a nice gift ^^
We will be adding 12 inch within few days
Wanted to share with you some insights on how GamePrint actually optimizes the geometry for printing and how it makes it printable as most characters are hard to print due to the geometry topology and issues such as intersections and wall thickness, the below image shows one of the key strenghts behind our technology as it fixes the most complicated part of a character which is the hair, if you look at the hair before repairing then you will notice how complex, intersecting and thin it is, this prevents the model from being 3D printed and will cause a print failure but after repairing it then you will notice that the model is now solid for 3D printing.
.
The following image also shows how our repairing process actually improved the topology of the model as well, by reducing the number of polygon count we can actually enhance the ability to print, this part of the process is actually managed and supervised by our production team as they assist in getting the model repaired.
If this is going to be done fully manually then it will take you quite sometime to fully repair a model before being able to print it, this is part of what we do in order to get your model printed
How would you guys handled cel shaded figures?
Here's what I'm making:

The models presented are part Daz3D figures like Genesis and part Miku Miku Dance (mostly head and hair) with some outside imported OBJs which are flat parented (non fitted) to model.
We've done flat shaded models before, our team will mimic the look and feel as much as possible and our tech will merge all geometries together so that it can print smoothly without issues, I will check if it is possible to share images of those prints or not.
Also, our team will use any references you provide in order to mimic the look and feel, in case of a flat shaded model then it can be a screenshot from a certain angle.
Excited to hear this. Will this be in time to still take advantage of the free shipping offer?
Looking foward to that.
Your company is really going out of its way for the customers. Much appreciated.
Something that did look odd though. On page 1 of this thread, the 3rd pic in the first post, the woman's ear area of the 3D print does not match the render on the tablet. The fully painted 3D print on about the 21st post shows it as hair? I thought is was excess resin to be taken off.
I'd be interested in this, but I'd also like to know about shipping costs & taxes I have to pay when I "import" your models. I've already had some very nasty surprises in ordering things from abroad, and then got taxes slapped on it on top of the price I already paid, making something like a 250$ item cost 300-350$ in total. Customs ain't fun.
This depends on the country/state and its regulations as you know, let me know where are you based and will calculate numbers for you.
If I read right, they send from Europe. Since you have a link to "Deutschsprachiges FAQ" in your signature, I guess you´re located in Germany - so this would mean no customs ...
@GamePrint - please correckt me if I´m wrong!!
Taxation is a bit tricky given all the different rules and regulations but for Europe you can refer to the below link
http://europa.eu/youreurope/business/vat-customs/buy-sell/index_en.htm
I meant a cut from the sales of the collectibles, not from the content you bought.
