Not Star Trek but still S.T. :P
I still think this one would make an awesome Trek take on the Red Dwarf.
USS Red Dwarf. ^_^
Those are Starship Trooper ships found on Sharecg
As I know some only read this thread so will post this information here.
For Genesis 2 which is free ... part of the Genesis 2 starter pack that is in your Product folder if you have 'purchased' D/S4.x. ... one can use the Transfer Utility to convert V4 clothing to G2 IF this product is purchased: http://www.daz3d.com/new-releases/victoria-4-for-genesis-2-female {remember to save it after creating it too ;-) }
With said product, one can then also use V4 textures on G2. One may have to first load V4, apply the texture set ... then save out a new .duf file [because it must be a .duf file] for the texture set. Then select G2 and apply the V4 texture, remembering of course to set the uvmap set to V4.
I just tried it in D/S4.5 [yes .5] and it worked fine.
...............................
And yes, the last set of rooms for the Sickbay are over in my DA Gallery :-)
The weekend is supposed to be a scorcher so that's it for any serious amount of modeling 'til cooler weather returns.
Captain Arnold says Hello Der from der "3D People Rendering Studio Program" without der pretty tabs-but wit der Fresnel based skin SSS.
Me...and you too.
The same type of people that shell out big bucks for their "3D People Rendering Studio Program" instead of the free one, with the pretty tabs, industry standard 3D render engine and 1st generation grey blob that morphs to other people and monsters. hahahahaha. :-)
Just had to poke fun at you. We are all guilty of buying something other's see as beyond logic and common sense.

That was original and funny. I'll have to do a come back image.
On a serious note DAZ had SSS back with early DAZ3...maybe even older than that, I don't know. A plugin shader by Omnifreeker provided it https://helpdaz.zendesk.com/entries/20658113-how-to-use-the-elite-human-surface-shaders . It just wasn't used since it hogged the bejesus out of a computers resources. Now that I'm looking at Gen2fem...not V6(that's just a morph like the creature packs M4/V4 used) The skins settings use a boat load of new settings to further simulate SSS...ie it's taken to the next level. I just wish I know what half the settings and whistles did or meant.
This image (cross posted) was rendered with G2F, The surface skin is still pink (it's just thin as hell and noticed if you look at her cheek in the light), I changed all the subsurface colours to blue. trust me, to much and the skin looked purple or green.
Anyone know where I can find images of the STTMP Sickbay monitors? I need good clear pics to make texture maps with.
Your best bet is on Memory Alpha, Madison.
I've been there. All they have are tiny little pics from NG and "Enterprise". Nothing I can use.
I don't think we ever got a clear view of the bed mounted screens. (I assume it IS those displays you want.)
In TMP, what we did see was the large wall screen to the side of the clear Lucite examination table when the Ilia probe is scanned. And when Spock is retrieved after his space walk and mid meld, the camera remains tight upon his face or a side shot that unfortunately does not capture the monitor.
In TWoK, we have a slow pan across the recovery ward after Khan's initial attack, but the camera does not zoom tight enough to capture any real details. But that is about the only shot we get of them.
I'm not sure if the TMP sticker book based upon Lee Cole's signage designs has anything.
I daresay you'll just have to "wing it".
Sincerely,
Bill
You're right about WOK. The one good pic I got from Trekcore doesn't do the monitors justice. But they might have to serve as a guide.
Here's Spock's recovery bed scene in TMP and while we do see the bed monitor clearly, it is not illuminated in any fashion.

Kirk and McCoy in the next shot examine a different display, but we never get an angle to show it in context. There is no blocks of text, pointers or icons, just three different images.

Okay, I'll retract what I stated in my previous post. Here's the panning shot of sickbay in TWoK and the HD capture shows enough of "something" that can at least serve as inspiration.

I know you specified TMP, but as you saw in the first capture, the screen was blank.
Sincerely,
Bill
I think there was supposed to be a graphic on that monitor over Spock and it got left out or they forgot to turn it on. STTMP was a mess when it came to production. I'm going to go with the Wok shot and try to make it myself. There's no other choice.
Had this model awhile back. Some of you might know it as the Retroprise. You only get half the ship. You have to mirror it and merge the two halves to get one model. Well, I decided I wanted to replace my copy. Buy I can't get it mirror clean. I'm trying to use UV mapper.
Anyone have any ideas?

Somewhere back in this thread I posted a link to a page, think it was this one:

Hey, I think you're right. Here's the specific graphic from that page...
http://starstation.files.wordpress.com/2010/07/biobed3t.jpg
The one in TWoK is a bit more in the blue spectrum, but that's easily achieved with a decent image editor.
Sincerely,
Bill

Thanks, folks!

Yes, if people click on any of the smaller images in the artist's blog, they will get a larger image.
Nice to visit Basill's page and see the rest of his work too.
Oh I missed this first time 'round ... I could have put it in the package, oh well.
No replies. Okay...
No replies. Okay...
I don't have that model nor uv mapper.
Do know how to mirror in Hexagon though if you want to try that way.

Okay. I'll send it your way. Thanks.
If that doesn't work for you, try contacting Ptrope. He successfully mirrored the object and fused the halves into a seamless whole. (He even has a render or two of the ship in his DA gallery.)
Sincerely,
Bill
I saw them. That's what reminded me of it.
Cassy parking her ride.
Know of any good purple...well, more lavender, skin colors one can find?
USS Dumont - The Anomaly.

Quite simple to make actually, I go under the surfaces tab, go to diffuse. and change the skin of the character and pick a slightly blue color, the mix of blue diffuse color and natural pink of the skin texture will make for a slight purple. and if done right is able to maintain or more natural colouring than something fresh out of a a crayola box. Change everything from forehead to toenails.
