A bit of a stumbling block, I can not get me material uv maps to not get all stretchy and weird at the seams. can someone point me to a couple good articles on making uv maps and dealing with uv stretch?

I have attached the current pick of my next gen uniform for genesis. thats the one i need to learn uv mapping for.

I've got a nice slated wall and a viewer [wall phone] suitable for many a set but this was also found in TMP rec rooms.

Forum link for pics and link.

Instructions for uvmapping tend to be scattered all over the place.
Obviously this isn't the proper thread to cover the topic however if you'd like to bring it over to my clothing thread; along with some more information [program being used, pictures of the mesh] either myself or somebody else may be able to help guide you through the process.

So, what's the word on the "Tholian Web" spacesuit?

There were a number of posts including some nifty WiP renders, then...silence.

    Sincerely,

    Bill

I lost momentum when I immersed myself in the Reality beta-testing. I'm going to try to get back to that, but I'll also have a grandson visiting for the next three weeks.

Given how long it took me to Easy Pose Ptrope's MARS viewer and work on the Martian War Machine, I think we can safely say "Don't hold your breath."

Remember that I only added Easy Pose to Ptrope's MARS viewer. This will be my first major effort at creation. Maybe I should edit those photos first, then tackle the suit . . .

    Sooo many ships out there.

    But I didn't see one called "I.K.S. Rotarran" (B'rel-class)

    Did I miss one?

Have a "long-range goal" but if there's no need, no need to re-invent the wheel either.

    :-)

B'rel class - available in the list in the first pages - and since the I.K.S. dont place names on the ships - voila

note in the list it is the Klingon Bird of Prey, I do believe

I've been working and a 3D modeler for a while. The ship isn't complete for release just yet. the Material settings I'm guessing aren't set for Poser just yet, so that's in progress. Once done I'm sure the artist will release it for 'consumption'. Enjoy the eye candy.

LUXRENDER IMAGE RENDERED AT 1920X1080 FOR CLOSE UP QUALITY.

-oh and a flight jacket is pending as well.
