I'm using IE10. Everything was fine last time I went to download a few things at DA .... The DS/Poser conversion of the TMP era transporter room, and a couple of Catherine's sickbay bed bits. No .... your Movie era computers on the 17 th June was my last download from DA. But now I simply don't see a download link or button anywhere. As i'm not a member at DA, I'm wondering if it's some change of policy so non-members can't see links and download.

You might go ahead and register. It's free. Try it and see if that fixes things. The simpliest solution and all that...

Moderators, I had to sign in- again- and got sent to my ^*(& dashboard - again!

I always found the bed in Kirk's TMP cabin to be rather...interesting.

The padding around the perimeter makes the thing look like a couch for an alien with insanely long thighs in relation to the rest of its body.

    Sincerely,

    Bill

I think we saw it in it's "Daytime" mode. When it's time for bed, I think those cushions come off and the bed stuff comes out. I think the bed's intended to double as a couch during the day.

Well, I've found the problem. Was filling in the registration page when it said my email address was taken. After a long 'Huh?' moment I searched my emails ... and found that I had actually registered last year. Must have found then that one had to be a member to download stuff, so registered, and the site must have kept me logged in up to last month when I last downloaded a few things. But it must have logged me out (or a cookie expired or something) since then so I haven't been able to see the links this last week. Logging back in (after finding my username in the email and guessing a few passwords I'd probably have used one of) I can see the download links again.

Sorry about that. Unfortunately a side effect of the prescription pain medication I'm on permanently, combined with the constant pain that gets through anyway and the lack of sleep because of the pain, is a completely mushy head and almost zero memory. I completely forget stuff from one minute to the next, never mind one year to the next. I vaguely remembered (sometimes) that I'd downloaded some of your Trek stuff, and some of Catherine's; but I honestly have absolutely no recollection of registering at DevientART ... just a registration email that says I must have!

Anyway - I am now relieved that I'll be able to download the cabin when it's done. Once I remember - in a few months time, probably - that I was waiting for it. :)

Don't worry. Like the Food replicator I posted the other day, I'll post links to the cabins when I post them.

While I know there was an intention that it could be used as a couch in the 'day', the padding around the sides would actually make sense in bed mode to protect the sleeping captain if the ship suddenly starts getting thrown about the way we've seen it happen many times by weapon fire, impacts, subspace shockwaves and whatnot. Of course there's nothing to stop him being rolled straight out the open side - it could do with a similarly padded front edge that could be pulled up when the captain is actually settling down to sleep.

(Especially in TNG, where we saw all those big cabins with shelves of knickknacks, vases, statues, strange freestanding furniture and the like, whenever we were (rather frequently) shown everyone being thrown from side to side on the bridge and in the corridors by the menace of the week, I always couldn't help thinking how much of a mess there'd be to clear up in all the cabins afterwards. And how many injuries to off watch, sleeping crew rolled straight out of their nice, flat normal beds. It was astonishing how Picard's archaeological pottery trophies survived ...)

The Klingon armour outfit is partially rigged for M4 ... and partially undergoing a tad of reconstruction to deal with a few issues that the various programs were having with it. One clicky blew it up. Another made it vanish. Oh it's been a fun night with Hexie. But it is going to work. After basic rigging is done for M4, I'll do the one for V4.

As I plan on using the bodysuits under the armour, I'm plan on making whatever morphs would be necessary to deal with poke through on that, and maybe something for the husky built Klingons. Are there any other figures people are wanting to be using Bluto's Klingon Spine Armour with? [no guarantees, but if I can accommodate I will]

it might be kind of cool if you could work a double set of spine plates to cover the arms of the bodysuit for v4 that way if digital q wants to give digital warf a toy to play with ?

That would be interesting. Think it would come out as a part two later on though. Have a few vague memories of a particular outfit I'd like to look up first of just such a "lady".

I had intended to use the Klingon combat armor with m4 valiant and v4 courageous , I never considered the bodysuits and as long as they still work with those outfits I mentioned , I don't have any problems wiht them being adapted for others

Okay I'll add the valiant and courageous to the 'must do' list for morphs. Actually the morphs will most likely be named simply "make larger" or something like that. Main purpose being to deal with poke through irregardless of garments underneath. The main uniforms are loading basically at the size you gave them to me. Looks to me like there's already some room there for clothing items. I am finishing off the shoulders though for the 'shirt' part although I don't recall any scenes in which the 'yoke' comes off. But might come in handy that way for fight scenes or something.

if you think you can make it so why not try to do versions for v3 and m3 and well as the freak and she-freak

ok , I changed my mind about the v4 she freak and m4 freak ,
but and I stress this if you should only do the uniform to fit the base freak that is placed in the work window when you call up from the libraries either m4 freak or v4 she freak

Yes, the idea is for proper husky looking Klingons. Morphs for the base figures should be quite sufficient for that. And the nice thing about morphs is that one need not dial them up 100%.

Hoping to get the vest for M4 rigged Friday. Once that is done, can make the make the morphs and create the final .cr2 for release, hopefully by the end of next week.

Do you want me to PM you a link for a download at that time, or release it in my DA account?

Don't know. I'd probably have more use for the sci-fi gear bundle that's on sale:

Okay, Day 3. I focused on the work area. Added the desk, dinner nook- which is on the deck plan, even though it was never shown onscreen, the shelf storage units- these don't open. I'll leave that to someone else. I also made and added the computer screen and console at the end of the room.

Update time- The chairs and the ceiling beams. Does anyone know if the work area actually had ceiling lights? It's yes in TMP, but in WoK, there either wasn't any or Kirk had them turned off.

In Case anyone's intrested: A color test with the glass table in place and the trim on the curved wall. So far, I've managed to keep it down to just two texture maps and 3 color samples. Everything else is from Poser's material room- Chrome and glass.

MdBruffy, just so I'm clear on this, you opted to employ a bit of artistic license and decided to make the curved bulkhead slope only at the bottom as opposed to curving inward at the top as well? If that was a deliberate choice, I'm cool with that. You are aware, though, that the wall in the movie set curved at both the bottom and the top, right? As lit, it can be hard to discern, I'll admit.

    Sincerely,

    Bill

Actually, Bill it kind of fooled us both. If you look at this pic, next to Spock's head, you can see that, yes, it curves back in, but then it shoots straight up. I think that was to hide the lights. I didn't realise it till after I'd already made the piece.

Son of a gun, you're right! I felt certain it curved inward, but I missed that obvious detail in that well publicized shot.

BTW, I love that bed alcove1 It looks rather cozy.

I'm very agravated with Poser Pro right now, so I turned my attention to another project I had to work out. You guys remember the Space plane inertior I posted a link to a while back? It's a freebie over at Renderosity. Well, I was going to need the Vulcan Warp shuttle- and an interior- so I re-worked it with some pieces from P.I.C.K.'s sci-fi package. The idea's kind of a 23rd century sleeper car- You can sit or sleep or pace the deck- not much else.

Here's the link again if anyone's intrested:
