Any idea on what you are going to use for a hair prop yet? Really curious to see how you finish this one off.

I am looking forward to seeing how this progresses. Is this for a personal progect or something you are going to give out as a freebie?

It was a personal project to see if I could do it. The morph I can make it a freebie. The texture was a modified Daz product. The ridge rings are next on the agenda.

I haven't done a Star Trek render in awhile. I've been feeling a bit creatively empty lately.

One of the things that never quite jived with me on some of the ships is the warp nacelles without a secondary hull. The secondary hull is where the warp engines and engineering exist, so it seems odd to have warp nacelles with nothing powering them.

I did my own kit-bash for a Ptolemy class, adding a secondary hull and using the Crossbow configuration for the nacelles.

Been doing some more work on my ringship . Converted it to a figure and added a bone so that the ring can be rotated flat . Useful when entering a space dock or station

I like the Crossbow warp nacelles on this ship it gives it a more well thought out design appearance to it, and with the secondary hull mounted via a dorsal neck really makes this ship look tons better.

Great idea Jag, looks like it would also work well for more stealthy missions as well. The retracted warp ring really gives this ship a sleek profile.

Hey guys, I've run into a problem and, maybe, someone here can help me.

I've been running Poser 8 now for a couple of years. The other day, I started it and the library window won't load. It's not "blank" with the background color. It's white and when I put my cursor over it I get the icon like it's loading. But, it never loads. It just stays like that.

I've tried all the "fixes" that were recommended. All my Windows and Adobe Flash files are up to date. My LAN connection is fine. I even deleted the Poser preference file. Nothing. Nada. The library still won't load.

    Any suggestions? Anyone? ...Buehler? ...Buehler?

IE11 breaks Poser. Smith Micro has patches for P9 and up, but for P8 your only option is to revert to IE10.

    Just bought it, congrats!

Have you considered selling it on http://www.comixology.com as well? They have their Indie Submit program up and running.

Hey, maybe you guys could help me with this one, too, as DAZ's tech support seems to be ignoring my request.

I recently bought the Muscle Morphs for Victoria 4, but, they don't seem to be loading into the figure. I've tried injecting them into previously saved V4 characters and nothing. I've opened a new file, brought V4.2 over from the Characters>DazPeople folder, injected the Morphs+++, then tried to inject the morphs and still nothing. The only evidence it did anything was under "deformers" in V4's body directory ("Wirey" replaces "Strength"). If I try to inject the muscle morphs individually, they just replace whatever morph was in "deformers".

    Any takers on this problem?

Sounds like V4 didn't get initialized after the install of Muscle Morphs. in the runtime where V4 is installed browse to ~\runtime\libraries\!DAZ\ and you should find a "DzCreateExPFiles-V4.bat" . You need to run that. This shouldn't be necessary with DIM installs though.

ok ,guys , as some of you may know ive upgraded to poser 9 a couple of months ago .
I was kinda jazzed about it as it means I can play around with the genesis figure .
well im lost, after months of fighting dson importer and genesis I thought I finally got it to work.
I no longer get any error messages at startup ,
poser says genesis is loaded into the librarys.
so when I click the button to load genesis into my render scene .... it loads nothing
I don't get it the editer says its there but the window looks void of any figure .

    any ideas ???

An empty figure usually means that the core files were not installed, or were not installed to the right place. You should have a folder named Data alongside the folder named Runtime in the library you are using - the Data folder in turn should hold the \DAZ 3D\Genesis folder.

I gotta say that this forum ROCKS!

I have a problem that I'm losing my mind over for days, and you guys solve it in hours! Now, I've got a Poser 8 that's working properly and muscle morphs for my V4 figure.

    My thanks to you all.

ok , do need to use the daz files ?
because the poser ones don't have a data file with the runtime

You need to install the DSON Core files (e.g. Genesis 2 Female Starter Essentials) as well as the Poser Companion FIles (e.g. Genesis 2 Female Starter Essentials PoserCF).
