Lets be honest here, if they sold it here, it would be a DAZ exclusive item and every singe one of you Poser users would be in the dark. It's a nasty trend I'm seeing grow here. And why a lot of the products are being taken to other sites. (But how do we get the word out this is something we would like to see changed. In this thread alone we are pretty much equal type users and look to share and help each other. Hell if you think about this, this thread had taken on a life of it's own, it's mentioned at almost ever single scifi or 3D render product or discussion site! We are bringing people in, and in a indirect route we are advertising their products here.
That set would of been a fantastic addition to this group, too bad it wasn't a freebie!
nuff said, if discussed further I suspect more repercussions.
(though thankyou for pointing it out. Bought it as soon as I saw the DAZ forum email came in.)

Hallway set ...... can't say due to recent deletion's by moderators of another's post. But ya'll smart, you know where this awesome Trek look-a-like hallway set came from.and for once it wasn't mine!

I ran into the same trouble when trying to interest people at new stuff brought out by Xurge, especially for Genesis (with collab from Hellfish studios). My post was removed in a heartbeat, despite the fact that it is clothing for their genesis platform. This is really starting to be a pain in the rear...
I am aware that this trend started at Rendo, who categorically removed any posts linking to outside sites, but that doesn't mean they have to follow this ridiculous example on these forums.
Gradually, due to the heavy censoring, a fanbased group no longer can share outside links, unless they are freebie links. This worries me, as we might as well take things to a board we run ourselves, instead of sticking around here and get clouted over the head for what used to be considered normal.

I think that some people need to remove a stick and start listening to customers, instead of making their community pay for the actions of another website.

We do not remove links when they are posted as a response to a question about finding such and such an item. We do however remove links to Off site Commercial items when they are posted as an unsolicited link, because this is judged to be an ad for the item. It is a very fine line we have to walk, and unfortunately at times it will upset some people.

Post the freebies you used, post the settings you used. Just stear clear of posting purchased products, some of the newer products coming out are unavailable to other 3D programs.

If someone posts "Were can I get xyz" you can post a link to qualifying products. If you say "Look what I found" then the link is not permitted. You can however tell the name of the pack and where it was being sold.

OK, I went in and fixed it can can someone please tell me why was the name of our thread been changed? The whole point of our title is to mirror in some was the name of a Star Trek movie or TV show. I added back ": In a Runtime Darkly!"

Texture success story ... Finally found a way to "paint a picture on a curve".
As in take a length of straight braid and "paint" it on a curved line [i.e. following a shirt's cuff line].
Posted a sample if anybody's interested. For the Defiant Tunic for Genesis. Mind you if you can get it to fit on another template you wish to use, be my guest.
