Morning. Gentle but consistent rain giving our garden a good soak, everything still green looks perkier already :)

    are the baby roos out?

seen baby geese out this morning. running after moms with their lil wing nubs up. squeed outloud on the bus from acute cuteness.

Hopefully all tucked in for winter, is what they call a Sheep Weather Alert day here, means you have to put livestock in the barn

poor sheep, do they understand why their picnic day is ruined?

doh, forgot it's not Spring there.

if the roos came to live with me, hugs roo ♥ ♫ ♥, i wonder if they would change their schedule for Spring here?

    Sure Happy It's Thursday. :blank:

Complaints: Drizzly, humid, didn't sleep well last night, sleepy now, office coffee tastes like brown water, legs sore from walking, feeling crabbity. :-S

Non-complaints: Some content money available, steak and potato soup for lunch, double meat cheeseburger and onion rings for dinner, tomorrow is Friday and should be nice weather over the weekend for chicken wings and beer run. :)

Extra-credit MEH: can't see emotes today. :blank: :blank:

Well I wouldn't mind if it didn't get stuck with loading process. Ah well, at least the main functionality -- text -- still works OK. :)

    Genesis question:

I'd like to use A3 in Genesis with A3 clothing and morphs. I have the GenX Gen3 plugin, what else do I need to get A3 rocking with Genesis?

I can buy TWO ITEMS today, that's my budget limit, waahhh! Sucks to be me.

I'm really getting into Genesis now, as well as the SSS shader. 3Delight is pretty powerful and it's nice to see people exposing that power in a more or less easy to use fashion.

Ok, cool - the bundle looks like the Real Deal(tm).

I'm pretty impressed with DS 4.6, the SSS, and Genesis. I've stopped using PPro 2012 due to UI issues o the laptopso thank heavens DS is quite usable or I'd be doing stick figure animation in Anime Studio (lol)!

Ok, bought the Gen3 bundle and the SSS toolbox, that's it for this week! :ahhh:

I hope to spend some quality time in DS4.6 this weekend. :)

Naah, I cut my party money in half for the weekend and THAT money is now content money! I'm going to be spending a lot of time watching Hulu Plus movies, drinking beer and nibbling popcorn - while I dump money on to the prepaid VISA and into savings.

One step at a time! Hee heeeeeeee. Now I just have to work up the nerve to check the massage parlor out and see if I can get a nice back rub... :red: :red:

I need to play with Wings3D again. Urgh.

The Aiko5 Starter Bundle is on sale for 40% off! Argh!

To skip it and have pizza, or eat hot dogs and play with Aiko5?

    I'm soooooooooooo conflicteddddddddd! :bug: :gulp:

Well, now that I have A3 to play with in the Gen3 shapes bundle I can be pretty happy. Since I have M4 and V4 for Genesis already, this will help clear up a pile of "figure clutter" and I can more easily use the ten bazillion A3/V3/S3/H3 shapes and clothes I have.

I honestly have plenty to keep me busy whilst I plot in secret on something I've been toying with for quite a while.. (very evil grin).

Non-complaint: waiting for hardware to arrive, so I'm learning Wings3D. It's pretty cool, I created a super-lame beveled gear in almost no time! Gives me something to do during lunch for the next week (heh).

I'm quickly coming to the conclusion that working on more than one "non job related" project at once is an issue. I feel like I'm working harder and am less productive.. blech! :blank: Once again tempted to do something really radical and focus on just one large project at a time, and that would be a new one that I've been toying with and researching for some time..

"*begin whine* I suspect that I'll never have what it takes to write a full-length novel, past a certain point I lose my motivation. Anything that takes me more than about six months to see progress on will end up in the bit-bucket, "archived" forever. I love writing short stories and flash fiction but the real long stuff.. I just peter out 1/2 way through. With music composition and 3D art, I get quick feedback on whether or not what I'm doing is working.. just like with programming.. I can see in a day or two, max, if I'm headed in the right direction or not. It's a temperament issue.. which is likely why I feel like I'm fighting myself to push past 25K words, that's my limit before I want to go back, polish it off, and send it out the door. Hell, even a complex Webcomic, I can see results right away when I render characters, panels, and the like. And music composition feedback is instant, f it sounds awful, it sound awful right away and I can fix or discard. I suppose I should face the fact I'm not going to be a best-selling novelist, although I might get a short story or two - or a serial - out the door. Meh, feh, waah, etc. etc. wallowing in shameless self-pity. Now I need a beer! *end whine*

Ooops, I wasn't clear! I mean at the office - I'm developing some embedded systems code for a new lighting control product that will save energy, money, and improve safety in areas with computer-controlled lights and the hardware guys have made some changes.. so I have to wait to work on it until they get me new units to test on.

No new hardware@home until December, I'm afraid. Now I need to save up for a Core i7 system of some kind...!

I need a quad-core i7 box to do Project Agentum Noctis (real evil grim)!

I see I'm talking to myself again! :ahhh:

I declare this weekend official MUSING AND MEDITATION weekend! :bug: I need to sit down and do my quarterly review of my life and consider whether the direction I'm headed is a good one, or if I'm heading down a pleasant garden path to either a dead-end or a detour through Hell. :blank: I need to do this every so often since I don't have a lot of eternal reality checks coming in. It's a good practice, gives me space to look back and forwards, and is a WONDERFUL excuse to drink beer and type in random notes and observations for later analysis.

Argh, back up to 140 page views per day on my Red Room site. My Blogger blog barely makes 30 page views per day (max), wow, I need to engage in more shameless self-promotion (or drop my Blooger site entirely).

Time to spend tonight and tomorrow night stocking up on microbrews, tasty sausage, some veggies, and a lot of popcorn (lol)!

What a pain in the tail! I hate LAN printers, our IT department hates LAN printers, it's pretty universal.

Have fun on your staycation! :)

ps. RedRoom is a GREAT writers site for blogging, shameless self-promotion, and to see what other writers are doing Out There. A free membership gets you a fair amount of power, the paid one is expensive but if you have books to sell, is well worth it.

I doubt I'll become a famous author, but you never know! :)

I'll wait a bit till all the bugs are out of the new release. I got 2012 when it released and it was so buggy for production use I had to go back to 8 until service releases came out to fix them.

My real name, since I'm not doing anything my friends and co-workers would disapprove of (yet). I briefly considered writing romance, but I don't have the enthusiasm for it that's needed. My main genres are fantasy and horror so far, with some mystery thrown in and a touch of paranormal.

I've done some comedy in the distant past, but I find I can only do it when the mood hits me, which is pretty rare. :-S

If I ever did romance, or erotic horror, it'd be under a nom-de-plume as I'm certain I'd horrify every single person that knew me! :ahhh:

It's pretty sad. I'm just glad the store doesn't hiccup too badly, so I can start my ssssllllooooooowwwww migration to Genesis.

Some smilies are back, some still dead. I guess the DAZ clerics are having a hard time resurrecting some of them (heh).

...I feel the same way about David5. I like David a lot more as his proportions are better.

In the meantime, created this fellow for one of my scenes using Genesis/GenX/David3 (this was the character I spent most of yesterday evening into the early morning hours rebuilding).
