    ...Monday Complaints:

...weather taking a turn for the bleah, Onshore flow with low morning marine clouds that don't burn off until around noon
...stayed in bed longer than I wanted to finally get my right hip to pop into place. if I don't do that getting out of bed and moving around is rather painful.
...Spurs got royally thumped by Miami last night after the Heat went on a 33 - 5 run late in the game.
...today's "Job of the Day" referral links to a paid membership site. Excuse me, I'm out of work, I need a job to earn money. What makes them think I want to pay for a "chance" I might get hired (or even get an interview)? Just as well off just buying another Megabucks Lotto ticket for tonight's draw and that's only 1$ instead of 15 - 20$ and given my age, the economy here, and my skill set, the odds seem almost the same.

    Monday non complaints.

...skillet sizzle and maple brekkie sausages this morning.
...latest Leela pic coming along nicely. Still wish I could use LDP2 and Azure skies though as I really like the skydomes more.
...glowy thingie in the sky looks like it's finally going to make an appearance
...discovered that safflower oil (which I use regularly) actually reduces the risk artery and heart issues. Meanwhile Canola Oil (there is no actual "canola" plant) which is touted as being "healthy", is a GMO (genetically modified organism) of a plant oil that originally was intended for industrial use, not human consumption. it actually has a number of undesirable effects including promoting fatty deposits around the heart & liver, blocking neural transmitters, and severely depleting Vitamin E.

    ..."better living through chemistry" eh?

Pizza isn't cheap, especially if you go for a fancy one. (bug eyed emote) Pizza Hut wings are $8 for a box of 8, three boxes + delivery + tip will run me close to $35!! (gulp emote)

I need to get a cookpot and start making my own wings again.. le sigh. A dozen fresh wings are only $7.50 or so, hot sauce is $4 a bottle and will cover 2 dozen wings. Urgh.

...well ran into a snag with the Leela pic.

Seems some of the older content elements with transmaps get a fringe around them that makes it look like a bad job of layer pasting. Using a Cloud9 skydome and lights (which is UE based) and wondering if that is what might be causing this.

Are you using a camera with a volumetric effect?

...nope, just the normal default camera. Aware of the issues with transmaps and Volumetrics so I never combine the two. This is more like a white outline along the leaf edges of one of the trees and wings of the butterflies in the scene. The scene uses a tree from DM's Garden Collection and Noggin's Ultimate Butterfly pack. Decided to open a thread in the N & B forum where I will post a test render.

Blech, sorry to hear that, guys! I'll go about 4 hours before SOMETHING wakes me up (dream, bathroom run, noise outside, indigestion)

I'd eat the chicken for sure, but I'd keep the iguana as a pet.

Complaint: e-bot dropped me from this thread again!

Computer in the hands of the techs now. Been there for a few hours. Hoping to get a call in the morning with the lesser of several possible bits of bad news.

I laughed so loudly when I was playing Civ (Long after I won) and got this trade proposal.
Look what he wants from me for one gold piece XD

I had Advanced Shielding and Railgun AA turrets in most of my cities, so even if he could use biological missiles against me it wouldn't do him any good. They'd get shot down in an instant, and if any did make it past the Arcology shields, AA guns and batteries, and the SDI I built a millennium ago the damage would be barely noticeable.

I was using biological missles over a millenium ago - so that should be an indicator of how abyssmally far behind the AI are right now.
(Aaand above hardly visible is the Teleportation and Cybernetics technologies on the "What do you want to research next?" queue)

I think "Begging for freebies from someone far more advanced than you" would be a better fit ^_^

As said, that tech is a millenium out of date and so obsolete it'd be like comparing Stone Age tools to Medieval weapons.
I stitched together a few screenshots of the tech tree (But gave up after a while and skipped a few screens because there wasn't room to upload it to the forums) showing where Biological Warfare is on the tech tree (Where Bismark is right now) and where I am. In green is about where he is, and in blue is where I am. Those weapons would be shrugged off by the units I have - assuming they get through my defenses. I'd have an approx. 65 percent chance to intercept them in any city, and a 80 - 95 percent chance to intercept them in cities with anti-air units in them, and virtually zero chance for them to get in where my Stealth Fighters and Orbital Fighters are stationed.

Besides which he's my Vassal, so he couldn't fire any at me even if he wanted to. ;P

I researched Teleportation and Terra Computers a few turns later, and quit the game shortly after that. It was getting very boring and tedious because I had no one to use that fancy weaponry against XD

Thanks for the effort (^_^)/... I've never seen anything like that before (not a Civ player).

Hehe... I always suspected "Rapid Prototyping" led nowhere... and "Computer Networking" leads to "3D Modelling"? <(`.`)... hmm, I guess so, to avoid everyone having to write their own renderer, and then create all their own Digital Assets... where does that leave D|S on the tree then - it's only just acquired DIM (and people are already speaking loudly about the Computer Network dependency in it) >_<.</p>
