    @Rezca: Hope springs eternal? >_<</div>

I think "Begging for freebies from someone far more advanced than you" would be a better fit ^_^

As said, that tech is a millenium out of date and so obsolete it'd be like comparing Stone Age tools to Medieval weapons.
I stitched together a few screenshots of the tech tree (But gave up after a while and skipped a few screens because there wasn't room to upload it to the forums) ...

Thanks for the effort (^_^)/... I've never seen anything like that before (not a Civ player).

Hehe... I always suspected "Rapid Prototyping" led nowhere... and "Computer Networking" leads to "3D Modelling"? <(`.`)... hmm, I guess so, to avoid everyone having to write their own renderer, and then create all their own Digital Assets... where does that leave D|S on the tree then - it's only just acquired DIM (and people are already speaking loudly about the Computer Network dependency in it) >_<.</div>

I figure what they mean by '3D Modeling' is when it got from the primitive "20 polygons max" early pre-alpha form of it, when it was an experimental venture... When it got from that to actually being used in scientific fields and stuff.

Anyway... This was a mod for Civilization IV called "Rise of Mankind" - the default tech tree contains less than half of this material :)
(Computers is one of the latest techs, near the end of the tree. Computers in this is no where near the end. Things like Biofuels and Teleportation don't exist at all. Ecology can be gotten a lot earlier, and Medicine was a late-game technology in the original)

Also, building Nuclear Power Plants before researching Ecology is a bad idea. You can't clean up the resulting mess from a meltdown w/o Ecology, and you can build the power plants long before getting that tech. I've never actually had one meltdown before, but it's possible. Similarly, you can get nuclear missiles before Ecology, and that can also be a bad thing. In this playthrough, none of the AI's ever got Ecology, and I had launched several missiles during the game.

Amusingly enough, the AI still sent Settlers to build cities in the middle of a fallout-infested area. I didn't bother cleaning up any of the fallout in my allies' new territory though, and left them to deal with it. I am so mean XD

Morning. Cold under a sunless dull grey sky here, an almost-raining kind of windy bleakness settling across the city outside my window.

Complaint # 1: Nothing in my 100+ items in my wishlist are part of the Artists Sale.
Complaint # 2: The complete list DAZ put out was not in alphabetical order making it difficult to see if a certain artist was on sale.
    Complaint # 3: I should be sleeping.

Non-complaint # 1: I still have $200 in store credit to spend because all of my items in my wishlist are not part of the Artists sale.
Non-complaint # 2: I slept for four hours straight without waking up til just a little bit a go. I usually wake up every 1.5 to 2 hrs.
Non-complaint # 3: I only had three complaints this morning. I must still be partly asleep. Back to sleep I go.

Hi Led! The PA items will only show up as being on sale when you get them in the cart and go to Shopping Cart (where you add the coupies)
They won't show up as being on sale on your wishlist page.
PITA to have to check all your WL'ed items to see if they're made by one of the PAs whose store is on sale, but with 100 items, my guess is that some of them are.
If you're already aware of this, excuse me for stating the obvious.
    John

Yes I am aware and my wallet will verify this. I did have just under 140 items, but now around 115, so some of my items were part of the sale, but what I was trying to say is "WHAT'S LEFT IS NOT PART OF THE SALE". 8-) Next time I will try to be a bit more specific and yes, I excuse you tjohn, I am well aware of your sickness, but if you could get Jader to sale you a patch or two, I think it might help.

Had to buy a new router today as mine screwed the pooch after only a couple years, but on a good note I did one hell of an upgrade from a Netgear WNDR4500 to an Asus AC66R. At least the new one is DD-WRT firmware capable if need be.

Yeah, aside from the lack of funds (the biggest part), that is part of why I'm still running Windows XP.

I used to update more often, when I had money. but I totally skipped that one. I went from Windows 98 right to Windows 2000...then I went to XP Pro.

I never intended to go to Vista. I really don't like the looks of Windows 8, nor what I read about it. To me, it seems they should rename it Window 8. Or my pet name for it...Windows FischerPrice.

My first PC was during '98. I went from that to ME, which I promptly removed after my first BSOD within 30 minutes of installation. After that was an XP machine a friend built for me to play Unreal Tournament 2004 on. After that I built them myself with XP and just rebuilt for better gaming and Windows 7 towards the end of 2011 just before Battlefield 3 dropped.

The first computer we had in the house was a Commodore 64. When I got interested in programming, my brother in law gave me a PC, it was an XT...with an amber monocrhome monitor. A good friend instantly upgraded it for me to a Turbo XT, and gave me a Hercules graphics card. it was still monochrome, but it had better graphics resolution than a CGA card. It had 640K of RAM and a 20 Meg hard drive and a 5.25" floppy drive. I eventually upgraded the video to CGA, then EGA, then VGA. I also started to get upgrades to the motherboard...286, 386, 486. Of course, the video jumped to SuperVGA, and the hard drives and RAM got larger and larger. Then Pentium arrived.

Boy, there's been a lot of change...and more to come. I like the move to flat panel monitors. I blame CRTs for my deteriorating eyesight. Staring at those tubes for hours was obviously very bad for my eyes. I used to be able to see a single fiber of a thread that was bent and keeping the thread from going into the eye of the needle. Easily. Now I'd need a magnifying glass to see that. It sucks. Flat panels came too late.
